“Just the Facts: dictatorships take control of education and health care as in doing so, they control both the family from cradle to grave and its young through indoctrinating and instilling them with the party line” by Chef Cheryl La Tigre
WINTER SESSION 2019
BLOG POST #242 AT THE AICP-END
616 DAYS UNTIL ELECTION DAY 2020
Education is better if left in local control and not in federal hands
Honolulu, HI, 02-27-2019 Wednesday: Yesterday, at the main blog, I shared my thoughts on how the United States- having lost control of the educational system- is now in danger thanks to the instillation of propaganda into our school-aged kids. While it is important to provide an all-around education into our K-through 12 kids, we cannot stuff nonsense, half-baked science, and lolo beliefs into them without having them swallow them lock, stock, and barrel.
One of the unsettling things that concern me and my family is that in dictator-ruled societies, whether right or left, education like health care are among the first things coopted by government because it gives government total control of the population.
Controlling health care from birth to death makes it nigh impossible for any citizen to speak freely or independently of the government line as their health can easily become a weapon employed against them by withholding it from them or from members of their family.
Likewise, education becomes a tool of domination as young children grow up knowing only what government wants them to know, which separates their parents from them and transferring said control to the ‘benevolent’ government. In effect, children become agents of government as well as monitors of their parents, which never ends well.
Let us deviate from the depressing topic we are on and look at the five beautiful Beverly Carrick original oil paintings we have on hand for today, #’s 186 through 190. Here we go:
BEVERLY CARRICK ORIGINAL ARTWORKS FOR FEBRUARY 27, 2019:
#0186 36” x 48” “The Sundown Mining Camp quits Business”
#0187 40” x 60” “Sunset and a Snowy Peak”
#0188 24” x 36” “Cloud Shadows”
#0189 8” x 10” “Wine Country”
#0190 8” x 10” “La Petit Sunset”
Here in Hawaii, we like to think that our school system is better than the one found on the mainland because it is indeed a familial endeavor here in the islands. Yes, it does take a village to raise kids with respect, morality, and a drive to succeed and that is precisely what we do.
However, we also have governmental intrusion into how we do things here, which is never good, as they pervert the system rather than improve it. While we can accept LGBTQ lifestyles and celebrate them, we do not need government separating parents from kids using a crowbar to do it.
I guess what I am saying is that education would be so much better if it returned to local control instead of having a distant Department of Education in Washington, DC, telling us how to educate and raise our young. I would hope that if Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard is fortunate enough to win the White House, she will remember her roots and not those of her new home.
Join me at the main blog. Lots of love, aloha, see you over there.

Up-and-coming Bakersfield, California, street artist, Simone, created this cartoonish caricature of me so we can keep our identities on the down low due to increasing threats, Web intrusions and threats, and so we do not lose our professional businesses because of our politics here at the AICP-END Blogs.
That said, I began my career in the early 1970’s when I apprenticed to cook under one of the masters on the Big Island where I was born. I moved to Oahu in the early 1980’s after having worked in both Kona and Hilo, HI, and have been there for most of my professional career.
Moreover, I have also worked on Maui for a few years (1995-1998) and have been on Kauai (2001-2003) before returning to Honolulu. My goal is to prepare the next generation of chefs for the future and to help the underprivileged in their struggle to attain careers in the foodservice industry.
