Here are the stats for the day around the world: 6,591,391 confirmed cases, 388,710 confirmed deaths, but 2,851,157 confirmed recoveries. In the United States, here are the numbers: 1,910,843 confirmed cases, 109,639 confirmed deaths, but 437,251 confirmed recoveries, the last number of which would be much higher if Blue State governors were not playing politics.

Shame on him. In the Aloha State, here are the stats: 653 confirmed cases, 17 confirmed deaths, but 609 confirmed recoveries which is incredibly good. Thank you, Governor David Ige, perhaps you can urge Gavin Newsom and Jay Inslee to do the same? Finally, in the Evergreen State, here are the stats: 22,729 confirmed cases, 1,138 confirmed deaths, but much like California, NO mention of confirmed recoveries which says it’s all about politics.

About time because the criminal scum must be found hiding under whatever rocks they do, rounded up, and sent to prison for life. Harmeet Dhillon launches a lawsuit on behalf of beaten journalist Andy Ngo in Portland, Oregon, last year. Get them, Harmeet!  Again, we must say that the majority of us writing for the AICPENDBLOG.COM now believe that communist China is colluding with the Democratic Party who channels Beijing’s dark money to its various action groups such as Black Lives Matter and Antifa. Time to bring ALL of them down.

  67. 2016: American actor Joe Santos of Rockford Files fame dies at age 84.
  68. 2017: The founder of rock-and-roll—the great Chuck Berry[x]—died from natural causes at the age of 90.
  69. 2018: In a ‘shock of shocks’ (yeah, right), Russian thug president and oligarch Vladimir Putin wins his fourth term with 76-percent of the vote.
  70. 2019: According to the U.S. National Weather Service, historic, catastrophic flooding occurs as parts of Nebraska, Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and South Dakota find themselves battling floodwaters. Of course, this is a SIGN of ‘Climate Change.’ Ooh, la-la.
  71. 2020: As of today, there are 214,894 confirmed cases of COVID-19, the “Wuhan Virus,” the one the People’s Republic of China dumped on the world.  Currently, we have 8,732 confirmed deaths with 83,313 recoveries.  China continues leading the death toll with 3,122 followed by Italy with 2,978 and then Iran with 1,135 deaths.  After them, Spain acknowledges 623 deaths followed by France with 148, then South Korea with 84, the United Kingdom with 71, then the Netherlands with 58, and the U.S. with 55 deaths.  Meanwhile, after getting his butt clobbered in the previous day’s presidential primaries, Sen. Bernie Sanders announces the suspension of his presidential run.  Thus, Joe Biden is the de facto winner of the nomination which means, who will contest him at the convention or even before?  Will it be moronic Governor Andrew Cuomo of New York who seems to be on TV every flipping day acting as though he is the ‘shadow president’ or will it be Hillary Clinton or Michelle Obama?  Possibly, since Democrats OWE Donald Trump at least three years, perhaps the president should postpone elections until November 2024? On Wall Street, the DOW Jones Industrial Average closes at 19,898.92, a drop of 1,338.46 or -6.30%. The S & P closes at 2,398.10, a drop of 131.09 or -5.18. Finally, the NASDAQ closes at 6,989.84, a drop of 344.94 or -4.70%.

The Smiler wants to do away with all fossil fuels so we can live the dream the leftist environmentalists continue bragging about, a dream so distant, a dream so laughable, that every single day of the week, people are piling their household goods into the backs of U-Haul trucks, onto the tops of their cars and into the backs of their pickup trucks like Dust Bowl refugees of the 1930s and heading back to the Midwest.

FALL SESSION 2019

BLOG POST #3,316 AT THE AICP-END

342 DAYS UNTIL ELECTION DAY 2020

California’s golden dream is dying, thanks to the Democrats…

San Diego, CA 92122, 11-29-2019 Friday:  IF you live in the crumbling Golden State AND you watch television, you see these ads from, I think, “Keep California Golden,” or some opossum feces such as that, in which, the narrator says he, as California, is ‘leaving this and that to the people of California as long as they promise to care for it and to pass it on the way they found it.”  If you have seen these vexing PSAs you understand that it is a load of crap and that our state is rapidly becoming a binary one in which, we have loads of wealthy people littering the top and even more folks living in poverty at the bottom.  It is not what it was when I was younger and sadly since Gov. Pete Wilson left office, we have been in a long, slow decline.

The ads are crap, mis amigos, but then, I already said that.  IF the narrator of the commercial mentioned something like, ‘and California, I charge each of you, rich and poor alike, not to let homeless destitute drug addicts drop their trousers and leave a big steaming load of fecal matter there for everyone to step in as they attempt to avoid other piles and big slick patches all over the sidewalk of half-dried drug addict urine.’

Everyone I know laughs at these so-called ‘public service announcements’ about ‘protecting’ what we have here in our once-golden state, because it is clear that if you venture into any city along the coast or up the central valley region, you will see disgusting piles of human waste and puddles of urine what with used hypodermic needles floating in them or littering the streets.

If you go out walking with your dogs in the morning, you will see signs up and down major streets proclaiming this group and that group claims responsibility for keeping a stretch of road clean.  Well, I may see the signs but there is scant evidence that anyone is honoring their word so they can maintain the sign that acknowledges their ‘non-existent public service.’

San Diego is not immune from this sort of neglect as we always have Democrats running the show.  They all toe the line with whatever bull crap emanates out of Sacramento from our beloved governor, the “Smiler,” Gavin Newsom.  This loser is happy to preside over the downfall of the state all the while proclaiming he is working for US and for OUR STATE.  He is the worst.

I think that he and our state attorney-general, the not-so-illustrious Xavier Becerra, like seeing the state the way it is because they can then use the misery and sadness that seems to permeate everything here as yet another avenue with which they can blame Donald Trump, even though Republicans have had NO control here for about two decades.

For those of us unwilling to pull up stakes and move to friendlier environs, we see the costs of doing business going up by the day.  The cost of power, the cost of paying taxes, the costs of supplies coupled with an ever-increasing minimum wage which is driving up the cost of everything, almost like a VAT tax, is causing one restaurant after another to close.

Businesses cannot keep their doors open if they are paying out more than is coming in and as businesses close one by one so do the companies that supply them.  Everyone from the food and beverage services to uniform and laundry companies are having a grim time maintaining their employees and providing them full-time hours, because unlike other parts of the country where the Trump economy is booming, we are in a state that is contracting.

Our blog is based in Oildale, California, part of Greater Bakersfield and even there, where the economy is doing somewhat better, restaurants are closing.  A place that my wife and I have enjoyed dining at over the years- Café Med- is closing after 28 years in business and right before the holidays.

Chef-owner Meir Brown has run a quality establishment for a long, long time and was unable to keep up with the costs of doing business over the summer, which he says hit $8,500 per month.  This included compensating 50 employees, paying rent, paying for gas and electric, and paying for supplies.

Every restaurant has to suffer these costs and for many, with the California minimum wage creeping up all the time, people have to determine whether it is even worth doing business.

It seems like every day, another chain restaurant opens up just do the ever-present food trucks, many of them unlicensed and devoid of health inspections.  If you go to an event like a live show or a sporting event at night, the moment you exit, all sorts of illegal aliens have grills set up where they cook mystery meat stuffed into tacos and burritos.

Like spending time in the Caribbean, anyone with common sense understands that to eat ‘street food’ is to put one’s life at risk.  Yet, here are these illegal vendors selling dog or cat meat and very seldom is it worth the trouble of a cop or health inspector showing up.

Anyone who purchases food from these people or a food truck or from a chain restaurant is stabbing local restauranteurs in the heart.  Our business is struggling to survive and I am not sure how long my kids will be able to keep the family-owned operation alive and well but if we do not flip the state from deepest, darkest blue to a bright blood red between here and 2024, we may as well head east with everyone else.

Gov. Newsom, I truly hope that a POS such as yourself is proud of the irreparable damage you are causing our state.  I hope we see you recalled and booted out of office because you need to go.  Take that other POS Xavier Becerra with you and don’t let the cantina door hit you in your asses on the way out.

See you tomorrow.  I hope I am in a better mood and I hope your Thanksgiving holiday was a good one.

Nos vemos entonces para la sesión de fin de semana.

Next year will be 52 years since the infamous Chicago street riots at the Democratic National Convention; will Milwaukee be a repeat?

Now, a quick note here. For those who do not know the distinction between ‘hippies’ and ‘yippies,’ the former were the Scott McKenzie- “If You’re Going to San Francisco (be sure to put Some Flowers in your Hair)” while the yippies were the far-left, radicalized, Marx-breathing scumbags who sought to do the work of the Soviet Union and communist China in the United States.

Democrats, you reap what you sow…

Century City, CA, 06-04-2019 Tuesday:  This past weekend, the California Democratic Party held its annual confab in which almost all of the 24 candidates came to attack the major one who was not on site, former Vice President Joe Biden.  While this was to be expected by all rational viewers of the news, what was somewhat unexpected was the craziness of the people in attendance.  Yes, I get it, it’s California but folks the people were screaming and yelling like the rabid dogs they are, anytime one of the potential nominees veered away from screeching “SOCIALISM” at the top of his or her lungs, the crowd went nuts.  They want SOCIALISM and they want it NOW.

AOC says the planet has a dozen years left; well, if we fail to get a grip on our southern border, in 12 years or less, no one will recognize the late great United States of America

In California- illegal aliens already vote. Felons vote. Dead folks vote. I am sure we have ‘repeat offenders’ who travel from polling place to polling place to vote. Soon, if politicians in my party have their way, sixteen-year-olds will vote. Sixteen-year-olds. Let that sink in. Children who do not mature until their mid-thirties soon are going to have a right to vote? WTF?

597 DAYS UNTIL ELECTION DAY 2020

Republicans defying President Trump?  Their time is coming…

Shafter, CA, 03-18-2019 Monday:  Amigos, it is I, your host, El Chilote, back for his first week of the brand-new year and man, oh, man, oh, man!  No one ever knows what the heck is going to happen, where it’s going to happen, or why the Sam Hill it is going to happen, yet…it happens.  As you know, I am a Democrat, a disenchanted one to be sure, but I will never abandon the party as I always have some glimmer of hope that the party will regain its sanity and that it is going to jettison the nuts that seemingly have taken it over and absconded with it.

As a Latino, let me say this: my family and I personally are harmed by open borders.  It seems that state government believes- when it comes to protecting NON-citizens at the expense of citizens- the MORE the merrier and woe to anyone foolish enough to call them out on it.

While I think we need a guest worker program as we once did, I haven’t a clue as to why we should continue allowing massive numbers of people who CLAIM they want asylum but who are invading our country just as President Donald J. Trump says they are.  We are losing our national identity as wave after wave after wave of Central Americans and other Third World peoples continue flooding across the southern border.

What boggles MY mind is the fact that President Trump is trying to find the money- by hook or by crook, if need be- to continue putting up the wall so we can halt the inflow of illegals.  Remember that movie about zombies, “World War Z?”  You do?  Remember when the Israelis had that massive wall and the zombies were trying to flow over it- and eventually did to the regret of the people assembled there; well, that is how it seems where the existing walls are ridiculously low or nonexistent.  We must stop this.

The thing that also stuns my mind is how the Republicans in the Senate could give a hooey about the president’s issuance of a state of emergency over needing to redirect money to fund the wall, money the Democrats won’t give and whom have done everything they can to throw a monkey wrench into the immigration gears.  What is wrong with these people?

Lately, we have heard the little darling of the Democratic Party talk about HOW our planet has twelve years left and then it goes KAPUT.  Well, I do not believe the scam about climate change/global warming but I do believe that if we do not stem the tide crashing into our country, in twelve years, the United States of America we know will no longer exist.

We cannot absorb the masses of illegal aliens pouring into the country as we do not really need them to do very many jobs.  As things become automated, I would like someone to tell me WHY having a million or more illegals flooding our country every year is somehow a good thing, what it is going to do for us, or why we, the American people, should not be angry at our leaders and begin taking matters into our OWN hands.

Twelve Republicans voted with the Democrats this past Friday in the U.S. Senate.  Twelve scumbags.  I can tell you, our nation has NEVER seen such an effort to stymie an American president seeking to protect the American people, NEVER.  It makes me sick, it makes me want to chuck my guts at the mere thought that Democrats and Republicans think thwarting the president by allowing the people of this country to be submerged beneath a tidal wave of humanity is somehow good.  It is not.  Definitely NOT.

Later on Friday, President Trump signed a veto throwing the attempt to halt him out of the window for now.  Republicans think that MORE of their numbers will join them in trying to stop the president from doing what must be done, which is not right.  It is bad.  The voters will remember this for as long as they possibly can even though the days of free and fair elections appears to be waning.

In California- illegal aliens already voteFelons vote. WTF?

My friend and colleague, Chef Elmer said it best: “Democrats cannot win a fair election, they have to jimmy-rig everything in their favor and if means extending the franchise to sixteen-year-olds and then to fourteen-year-olds and maybe even twelve year-olds because of the ‘climate threat to our planet,’ they certainly will give it the old school try.

We know that even if the voters of the Golden State vote something down, our leaders will overturn it if they feel we voted incorrectly or worse, with prejudice (like on Proposition 8).  I mean, look at Governor Gavin Newsom, we voted to expedite the execution process for those on death row a few years back and he threw it out last week with a flip of his head and his signature on an executive order.

Friends, I am not yet ready to throw the towel in and move to the South Pacific and open a Mexican restaurant.  However, it could be coming soon because what is going on in our country at present cannot end well for anyone.  We may have to fight another civil war to restore sanity to the country that millions of us love so much.

We will meet again tomorrow, mis amigos.  Have a good day and think about what I have said.  My family’s as well as your family’s future depends upon thinking RIGHT.

As have the rest of my colleagues, local Bakersfield street artist, Simone, created these portraits of me that you will see over successive days here at the blog.  I guess Simone did ‘okay’ in capturing my likeness; I guess it could have been worse.  I was a young cook back in the early 1960’s when I commenced my culinary career.  I served underneath a Master Chef for many years before striking out on my own.  I went up the coast of the Western United States and Canada, working all the way, until I made it to Alaska.  From there, I moved to Hawaii for a couple of years (1994-1997) before I returned to Washington State and it was there that I met Stinkbug.

Just the Facts: Next month, the AICP-END Blogs will release the name of the winner for our First Annual Lavrentiy Beria Award; I go over some of the nominees today and explain why they are on our list

Now, we are NOT promoting violence at this blog. We are very peaceful people. However, we can in a sardonic sort of way mixed with a fair amount of humor, point out who deserves this faux treatment more so than any other political idiot in the country. Let me share with you some of the names on the list upon which, we will be voting in a few short weeks:

THE LAVRENTIY BERIA AWARD IS A HUMOROUS AWARD, NOT A CALL TO VIOLENCE

Century City, CA, 11-29-2018 Thursday:  Currently, the folks who sit surreptitiously on our ‘board of directors,’ (NOTE: we who are NOT a corporation but a loose confederacy of professional chefs and club managers), are compiling the list from which the first winner of the Annual Lavrentiy Beria Award will be chosen.  This award will signify who should receive the “Lavrentiy Beria treatment,’ figuratively speaking, a treatment so malevolent that it pains me to explain to you who Mr. Beria was.

In the early days of the Bolshevik Revolution in Russia through Stalinism in the 1950s, Beria ran the KGB.  He was a hands-on sort of guy, when people needed whacking, he personally carried out many of the sentences deep in the bowels of the evil Lubyanka Prison in Moscow.

The unfortunate, condemned to death for betraying the Revolution or for attempting to be a ‘closet capitalist’ or other such crime, found himself on his knees before the wall.  Mr. Beria then drew his pistol and gave the victim a double-tap in the back of the head.

The first name on the list is the sheriff of Broward County, Scott Israel, for his failure to stop Nikolas Cruz ahead of the horrible shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.  Not only did he not do his duty and put young Mr. Cruz into a 5150 psychiatric hold, he bragged not long after the shooting about the ‘marvelous job he was doing.’  How disgustingly nauseating and yet he remains sheriff to this day.

Next on the list is Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf who came to the attention of everyone earlier in the year when she warned the illegal aliens infesting her city of impending ICE raids.  Although some say she is a minor player and does not deserve to be on the list, I believe she should because she is archetypical of leftist mentality: they never met an illegal alien they did not like.

Also on the list is “Shifty” Adam Schiff.  We all know why the ugliest man in the U.S. House of Representatives is on the list: he is little more than a little dog with a hard-on rubbing on one’s trouser leg.  You want to kick him into a corner and he comes galloping back to put the love-lock on your pants-leg.  Does he deserve the Lavrentiy Beria ‘treatment?’  Probably so.

Next on the list is a ‘twofer’- outgoing California Governor Jerry Brown and current Attorney-General Xavier Becerra.  The feckless duo is on the list because of their defense of the California ‘slave state.’

These two scumbags are willing to yank our state out of the Union and go its separate way ALL so we can protect our low-wage ‘slaves.’  They love their gardeners, they love their nannies, they love their maids, and they love their hairdressers and manicurists and will fight the federal government to protect them.  This is insane.

Our next nominee for the coveted award is the anti-Semite Louis Farrakhan all because this man says the most repellant things about Jews and yet, the left will NEVER cut this worthless POS loose.  Kick him to the curb or give him the Lavrentiy Beria ‘treatment.’

Moving on, we have the erstwhile Andrew McCabe, former bigwig in the Obama administration who now could be the fall guy for the whole ‘let’s get Donald Trump’ scheme.  He has gone silent and remains out of view but this detestable maggot could have drove a dagger through the entire ruse and yet, he did not.  He bears partial responsibility for much of what now goes on.

Judge Rudy Contreras is also on the list, he is the scumbag who gave Peter Strzok (also on the list) his FISA warrant so he and the previous nominee could go after Donald J. Trump and everyone else around him.  These three people along with a few others deserve the Lavrentiy Beria ‘treatment’ (figuratively speaking) more so than numerous others.

“The View” co-host Joy Behar also is on our list and it does not take much imagination to see why she might be on it.  The woman is little more than an angry drone, an old drudge, a woman who probably has not seen a solid stiffy in 25 years.  She is responsible for much of the hate speech we hear daily so she deserves her place on the list.

Maxine Waters, corrupt congresswoman from my city is on the list because she stirs up more vitriolic anger and gins up violence than anyone else other than an Antifa captain does.  How this old hag manages to remain outside a prison cell is beyond any of us and yet, the old biddy is free to stir up as much hate as she can.  She well deserves to be on our list.

Omarosa Manigault-Newman also is on the list because she is mouthy, angry ho-bag.  Donald Trump has done so much good for her and she repays him by calling him all manner of vile names in a ghost-written boring book that went nowhere.  What a scumbag.

As mentioned, Peter Strzok is on the list as he should be because his testimony earlier in the year was as outrageous as it was revolting.  The man is a hater, some of my female colleagues here at the blog have said he reminds them of their WORST husband.  Poor Lisa Page, what did she ever see in this piece of work?  No one can figure it out unless he used the threat of violence to force her into their relationship.

We have another group of names, whom I will discuss tomorrow.  We are excited about our First Annual Lavrentiy Beria Award because, figuratively speaking, everyone on the list deserves the treatment that Mr. Beria gave his victims although we are not promoting violence, folks, just saying that the nominees are scumbags who deserve our derision and our disgust as they should from all of you, the civilized people of the world.

That will do it for today, folks; please, join me at the blog tomorrow and we will continue where we left off today.

The Doors record label released another ‘best of’ compilation on October 30, 1980,” (yeah, we messed up in the chronological timeline yet again) “Greatest Hits.”  Once again, we find a fine selection of hits here for both the veteran and the novice listener.  This is perhaps one of the greatest bands to literally explode out of the mid-1960s and could have gone so far had not the lead singer overdosed on drugs while on hiatus in Paris.   We wholeheartedly recommend it and urge the readership to use the link we provide you here so you can visit Amazon.com.  Once there, pick it up in the format, the condition, and the price that works best for you- you will be glad you did.

We continue presenting the albums of the Chambers Brothers, four black men transplanted from Carthage, Mississippi, to Los Angeles, California—Lester, Joe, Willie, and George Chambers—along with the awesome white drummer Brian “Chambers” Keenan.  Their third album, “Time has Come Today,” came out late in 1967 and was the band’s tour d’ force as it contained the title cut, a monster hit by which, the band will forever be known. You need to buy this CD NOW so you can savor the psychedelic past.
