34. 1954 Saturday: During the Battle of Dien Bien Phu, heavy night assaults fall on Huguette 6 as the communists continue reducing the perimeter. Air supplies are having a difficult time locating the main camp as the weather is bad. At other points, the communists broadcast in German over loudspeakers telling their foes to come over and pick up French wounded for transport back to the main camp. When the stretcher-bearers arrive, instead of wounded, they find mutilated corpses.

  13. 1915 Saturday: The Austro-Hungarians with German reinforcements begin driving the Russians back in the Carpathians.   The Russians had a unique plan that if they could penetrate through this harsh range of mountains, they might be able to knock the Hapsburgs out of the war.  Although not the strongest member of the Central Powers, the core Austrian, and Hungarian troops and not their Slavic allies were up to the task.
  14. 1916 Monday: During World War I, the horrendous battle of Verdun continues as the French mount counterattacks against recent German domains.  The city of Verdun is a fortress surrounded by a series of fortresses (sort of like Dien Bien Phu would be decades later though not as fortified) and the Germans believe if they can punch through they might be able to bring France to its knees, possibly knock her out of the war for good.

  17. 1919 Thursday: The victorious allies hammering out the post-World War I peace in Paris, France, had sent South African General Jan Smuts to Budapest where a new Soviet-style regime had seized power.  The idea was to negotiate a peace between east and west but it was failure, the communists had no intention of participating in anything.  All Western diplomatic missions begin pulling out and American wives of Hungarian citizens are to leave with the British.  Things are in an uproar in Eastern Europe thanks to the NEW Soviet Union.
  18. 1922 Monday: In the USSR, Josef Stalin becomes general secretary of the Communist Party.  Lenin, suffering from poor health did not want to appoint his far more murderous comrade Stalin to this post but Stalin was ‘caretaker’ for the ailing revolutionary.  Soon, Stalin would begin consolidating his power.

ALBUM OF THE DAY AT THE AICPENDBLOG.COM:

Age can never keep a good band down and UFO came roaring back three years after “The Monkey Puzzle” with “The Visitor,” which came out on June 02, 2009.  Joining vocalist Phill Mogg are longtime UFO veterans Andy Parker (drums), Paul Raymond (keyboards, vocals, and perhaps one of the hardest working musicians in all of rock), Vinnie Moore (guitars), and Peter Pichl (bass).  Folks, all we can say is that many bands don’t age well but these guys- Christ, they have been around far longer than lots of other bands.  Other than the Rolling Stones who have the all-time record for longevity (must be because they sold their souls for rock-and-roll), UFO has been around far longer than Led Zeppelin, the Kinks, the Who, the Faces, and many, many others so what the heck are you waiting for?  Seek this one out and make it a part of your listening day.

ENDNOTES:

[i] We are unclear as to when we will begin promoting the music of the legendary British rock band, YES, but when we do, you will be the first to know.  This offering will go as long as- if not longer- than the Beatles and their individual members.   Please stay tuned.

[ii] We shared the music of Deep Purple, Ian Gillan, Captain Beyond, Elf, and Rainbow beginning on Tuesday, 20-March-2018 and concluded this massive offering on Sunday, 14-October-2018.  Please seek out the music by all of these phenomenal bands.  All are fabulous.

[iii] We began promoting the music of the greatest British blues rock band, the Climax Blues Band, beginning on Monday, 16-September-2019 through Sunday, 27-October-2019.  This included the solo efforts of Pete Haycock and Colin Cooper.  We hope you will check them out and add them to your collection.

[iv] We began promoting the music of both the Beatles and the band’s individual components on Friday, 04-November-2016 through Sunday, 11-June-2018.  Besides the Beatles, we also promoted the music of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, and George Harrison as well as the Traveling Wilburys.

[v] Not sure when we will present the music of this famed Canadian American rock band but when we do, you will be the first to know.  The Band ranks among the all-time greatest rock bands of the 1960s and 1970s.  You won’t want to miss them.

[vi] NO economic plan put forth by President Barack Obama over his eight years in office ever generated the promised results.  It was not until Donald Trump became president that the economy began going like gangbusters.  The proof of how inept the Obama administration was is in the way in 2020 Obama tries to take credit for the Trump economy, claiming that it was ‘his.’  No, Mr. Obama, you did NOTHING to create the economy we are now enjoying.

  58. 2021 Wednesday:  NOT OUR PRESIDENT, folks: Joseph R. Biden Jr. took the oath of office today as the nation’s 46th president while his heir apparent Kamala Harris took the oath of office as the nation’s 49th vice president.  The oaths they swore are to uphold the U.S. Constitution and all the laws of the United States.  While preaching unity, they insult their political opponents every opportunity they get while GOP leadership in the House and Senate are already brown-nosing the duo.  Disgraceful.   Many Americans are renouncing their GOP membership beginning today including several chef-authors here at the AICPENDBLOG.COM.  We expect to see an avalanche of millions of similarly disgruntled Republicans following in our heels.
  59. 2021 Wednesday A: Senator Lindsey Graham, RINO-SC, a fair-weather Republican if ever one existed says that Mitch McConnell should ‘unequivocally oppose’ the second impeachment of Donald J. Trump, especially now that he’s out of office.  Elsewhere, Donald Trump flew out of Joint Base Andrews to his home in Florida earlier today.  Meanwhile, apparently some knucklehead phoned in a ‘bomb threat’ to the U.S. Supreme Court but all the radical, right-wing, QAnon violence the Democrats swore was going to explode all over the place has not happened.  We see it for what it is, folks, just another attempt at tarring and feathering all Trump supporters.  Finally, both drooling House Speaker Nancy “Mumbles” Pelosi and forever-angry Hillary Rodham Clinton are trying to revive the long-dead strawman of Trump-Russia Collusion when the two should be investigating Communist China-Democratic Party Collusion.
  60. 2021 Wednesday B: Outgoing President Trump issued 70 commutations and 73 pardons including one for Judge Jeannine Pirro’s ex-husband, Al.  Also, in his final hours, the outgoing president issued oil drilling leases in Alaska’s Wildlife Refuge.  Elsewhere, Ret. Gen. Lloyd Austin, ‘President Biden’s’ pick for Defense secretary says he is willing to lift the ban on transgenders serving in the U.S. military, one imposed by the previous administration because of the exorbitant costs transgender service personnel cost the American taxpayers.  Here we go.   A return to identity politics of all types- how soon before ‘furries’ and pedophiles and peeping toms and S & M’ers and multiple-partner marriages and everyone else with any kind of sexual proclivity gets special treatment from the ‘Biden administration?’
  61. 2021 Wednesday C: West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin says that launching infrastructure projects in all 50 states would get the American people back to work and back on their feet.  Sounds great, let’s see it happen.  Meanwhile, SpaceX bought two deep water offshore oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico to convert into space ports.  Elsewhere, Ford and Mazda are recalling 3 million cars due to airbag problems.  Speaking of automobiles, KIA shares are soaring over rumors of electric car production.  We shall see.  Overseas, like the Orwellian figures they are, the Chi-Coms trot out Jack Ma, his first public appearance in months, so the world can see they haven’t offed him yet.  Read “1984” and you will understand WHY this matters.  Finally, ‘President Joe Biden’ sends an immigration overhaul bill to the U.S. Congress that will legalize between 11 and 40 million illegal aliens within the fabric of the country as well as will draw millions more to swamp our constitutional republic.
  62. 2021 Wednesday D: ‘President’ Joe Biden signed 15 executive orders today.  First, he is initiating the return of the United States to the Paris Climate Accord.  Next, he revoked the permit for the Keystone XL Pipeline, much to the horror of our northern neighbor, Canada.  Then, he removed his predecessor’s travel ban on people coming in from mostly Muslim countries with a history of terrorism.  Following that, he signed one strengthening DACA protections for illegal aliens brought here as children.  Speaking of illegals, he is removing the ‘emergency funding’ that diverted U.S. DOD funds to continue building the southern border wall.  He also mandated that in all federal buildings and on all federal lands, masks must be worn at all times.   Another one would also count illegal aliens in the U.S. Census which will enable Democrats to win more House seats because of higher population counts.
  63. 2021 Wednesday E: ‘President’ Joe Biden also cried out against ‘domestic terrorism,’ ‘white supremacy,’ and other evil things among opposition party members.  He also said he can ‘hear the planet crying out to him.’  What is it about the bogus Climate Change scam liberals continue pushing?  First, if we are to believe in science then everyone should understand that the Sun is the number one driver of ‘climate change’ on every planet in the Solar System blessed with a climate.  In addition to that, millions of bombs were exploded in the previous century, nuclear weapons tests conducted below ground, at ground level, under the ocean, and even in the atmosphere and still, the planet is not dead nor will it die.  Yet, they continue pushing this bogus scheme because it is a way of fleecing those with money and then redistributing it to wherever they wish.  “Taxing the air” is what they call it…
  64. 2021 Wednesday F: Here are the numbers for the Xi Jinping Bat Flu- Pelosi Pox:  Here are the statistics for the planet as a whole: 96,640,644 confirmed cases, +581,653, 2,068,921, confirmed deaths, +15,537, and 53,267,010 confirmed recoveries, +372,842.  Next, here are the stats for the United States, the intended target of the Chinese-engineered Wuhan Virus pandemic: 24,433,486 confirmed cases, up 143,073 from yesterday’s reporting, 404,812 confirmed deaths, UP 1,749, and 10,562,082 confirmed recoveries, UP 51,007.
  65. 2021 Wednesday G: Next, in the three states in which, the world-famous American Institute of Culinary Politics-the Elemental News of the Day employs chef-bloggers- California, Hawaii, and Washington- here are the stats, California first: 3,071,119 confirmed cases, 34,443 confirmed deaths, and NO MENTION of confirmed recoveries.  Next here are the numbers for Hawaii: 25,470 confirmed cases, 325 confirmed deaths, and NO MENTION of confirmed recoveries.  Finally, here are the stats for leftist-Marxist-socialist hellhole of Washington: 296,363 confirmed cases, 4,020 confirmed deaths, and NO MENTION of confirmed recoveries.  Let us look at one other state: Montana: currently, they have 90,255 confirmed cases, 1,094 confirmed deaths, and 84,255 confirmed recoveries.  Now that Mo has relocated to Israel, let’s look at the statistics there: 575,842 confirmed cases, 4,181 confirmed deaths, and 478,897 confirmed recoveries.
  66. 2021 Wednesday H:  Here are today’s Stock Market closes: DOW Jones Industrial Average: 31,188.38, UP 257.86 points (+0.83%).  Next, the NASDAQ: 13,457.25, UP 260.07 points (+1.97%).  Finally, here are the stats for the S&P 500: 3,851.85, UP 52.94 points (+1.39%).  The price of GOLD is $1,869.60 per troy oz., +3.10 (-0.17%) while the price of SILVER is $25.90 per troy ounce, +0.134 (+0.52%).  The price of PLATINUM is $1,114.50 per troy oz, -1.90 (-0.17%) while the price of COPPER is $3.65 per pound, +0.0045 (+0.12%).  The price of PALLADIUM is $2,403.20 per troy oz, +38.20 (+1.62%).  The price of Light Sweet Crude Oil is $52.96 per barrel, -0.35 (-0.66%).  Currently, one-dollar U.S. = 6.46 Chi-Com yuan.   Meanwhile, one-dollar U.S. = 0.83 euros and in Mexican pesos equals 19.58.
  67. 2021 Wednesday I: Upon entering the Oval Office, almost immediately, ‘President’ Joe Biden deletes the 1776 Project page from the White House website.  Instead, he will promote the 1619 Project which vilifies the founding of the United States and its history.  It is important to note that today’s Inauguration Day events appeared more like a totalitarian state than they did an American event, the peaceful transfer of power.  Armed soldiers everywhere, hardly any civilians around, in a locked-down, fortified city being patrolled by armed members of the military.  It appears the nation has been overthrown from within.  Meanwhile, the Iranians are licking their chops that they are going to see the reentry of the United States into the flawed, pro-Iranian JCPOA deal.  This will occur almost immediately.
  68. 2021 Wednesday J: Here are the numbers for the Super Lotto Draw #3527: 05, 08, 15, 21, 37, and Mega 27.  Out of 159,315 winning tickets, the highest winner was ONE person who had FIVE numbers but NO MEGA number for a prize of $53,831.  The winning ticket was sold at Ironwood Liquor in Moreno Valley, CA 92557.  Next, here are the results for the Powerball Draw #813: 40, 53, 60, 68, 69, and Powerball 22.  Out of 537,669 winning tickets, the highest winner was ONE person who had ALL SIX NUMBERS for a prize of $730,000,000.  The winning ticket was sold in Maryland.  Next, the next highest winners were TWO people who had FIVE numbers but NO Powerball number for a prize of $599,639 apiece.  The two winning tickets were sold at (1) 7/11 in Redlands, CA 92373 and (2) Déjà Vu Liquor in Woodland Hills, CA 91364.  Tomorrow night, the Mega Millions jackpot for Draw #1626 is in the vicinity of $970 million.  Good luck, folks.

ALBUM OF THE DAY AT THE AICPENDBLOG.COM:

Fresh on the heels of moving up as both a live act and a seller of records, UFO delivered another big seller, their second LIVE album, “Strangers in the Night,” on January 02, 1979.  The lineup featured Phil Mogg (vocals), Andy Parker (drums), Michael Schenker (guitars), Pete Way (bass), and Paul Raymond (keyboards/rhythm guitar) but this would be the final album featuring guitarist Schenker until he returned in the mid-1990s.  A two-LP album at the time, this album featured all the best cuts by a red-hot band.  We hope you will seek this one out- especially in its expanded form with multiple discs- because it is a classic, an amazing classic.  We hope you will seek this one out by visiting your favorite site for the absolute best in rock music- you will be glad you did.

PDT.  Late in the day, President Trump fired Michael Atkinson, the intelligence community ‘watchdog,’ most likely over all the FISA abuses that occurred in the plot to remove the 45th president for being a ‘Russian agent,’ since proven to be nothing more than an attempted coup.  Good riddance, you POS.

In 1988, Roxy Music released a ‘best of’ package entitled, “The Ultimate Collection,” which contains the big tunes all in one place. Therefore, if you have failed to get in the ground floor of the band and its memorable music, this is one hell of a way in which, to do it so please, seek it out wherever you purchase the best in rock music. You will be glad you did. We thank you.

Original Beverly Carrick Artworks, Beverly Carrick—World Famous Artist, Richard Manuel, the Band, John Lennon, The Beatles, The Climax Blues Band, Pete Haycock, President William Henry Harrison, Yes, Chris Squire, Confederate States of America, Vice President Alexander H. Stephens, Ian Gillan Band, Mike Moran, Just the Facts, Roxy Music, U.S. Supreme Court Associate Justice Harry Blackmun, Dr. Ben Carson, Donald J. Trump v. The Democrats, Sergei Skripal, Vladimir Putin,

Just the Facts: collusion between Barack Obama and social media execs accelerated the insertion of the Deep State’s tentacles into virtually every level of American government and society

They seek to control free speech and the only thing those of us blogging here at the American Institute of Culinary Politics-Elemental News of the Day can ascertain is that thanks to Donald J. Trump beating Hillary in November 2016, they understood that their blatant attempts at shaping public opinion failed, collapsed, fell apart, and/or exploded so they want round 2.

SPRING SESSION 2019

BLOG POST #3,076 AT THE AICP-END

581 DAYS UNTIL ELECTION DAY 2020

Technology has achieved the world envisioned by George Orwell in his novel, “1984,” albeit 35 years later…we must fight against it

Frazier Park, CA, 04-03-2019 Wednesday: Good morning, yesterday was the day when Google Plus was supposed to go dark and baby, did it go dark: vanished, gone, never to be seen again?  Who knows?  I suspect that following the 2020 Election, that if the Dems achieve their desired outcome, if they put a left-wing nut into the White House and reclaim the Senate as well as add to their numbers in the House, then perhaps, Sundar Pichai- Google CEO- could revisit social media and a 2.0 version of Google Plus could suddenly reappear.

Let’s face it, folks, compared to Facebook- which is fine and dandy- Google Plus was wonderful.  There were so many collections and communities, some with 10 followers while others had hundreds of thousands of followers, that one never could go for more than a couple of minutes before locating an intriguing group they wanted to join.

So, we have revived a dormant My Space account as well as set up a new MeWe account so we can continue getting the word out to our legions of followers.  Until Google pulls the plug on our two blogs (don’t think they can do anything to the WordPress site unless they ghost it), we will continue spreading the political gospel to all who are interested in hearing it.

The sad thing about all of this is this: in a time when people around the globe are able to share information with one another more than has ever been possible, thanks to technology, the purveyors of the platforms people use instead of beefing them up and adding to them are seeking to find ways by which, they can restrict them.

The thing that will make the world a better place (well, except for the violent jihadis roaming the planet) is people being able to share their minds with one another.  We must be able to share our views, no matter how unpopular they might be because only in the free flow of ideas on the global exchange can we debate the pertinent issues.

Yes, people misuse social media, something I believe all of us share a part in, because sometimes when you come across a troll or a Russian bot talking s**t, the first thing that comes to the mind is hurling back some insults to shut them down.  We all do it and have done it and most likely will do it again, it is the way of life- so be it.

People also make mistakes and find themselves banned for doing something irredeemable, something that happened to several of our members although when vigorously protested (and with the threat of lawsuits) their rights were restored.  Still, Google saw fit to slam the door shut on so much valuable information, interactions, and enlightenment that one truly wonders whether they will recognize the dire mistake they made or will it be too late?

President Donald Trump, like him, love him, OR hate him, has been able to get around the media isolation blitz they have sought to use against him (once he clobbered Hillary back in 2016) by doing everything possible to restrict any positive coverage he deserved.  However, he managed to avoid their trap by going directly to the people via Twitter.

The use of Twitter has given the president a soapbox upon which to share his views, to get them undiluted out to the American people.  Even though one of Jack Dorsey’s employees temporarily banned the president’s Twitter account early on in his administration, NO one at that organization or at any other has the massive set of balls with which, to ban him and his messaging to his millions of followers.

This could change one day but I suspect the various purveyors of social media tremble in fear as to the amount of whoop ass that could be unleashed against them because they are, after all, dependent upon their users for their success.  Far too many people have abandoned social media already that a groundbreaking organization like Facebook has had to rethink their devious schemes so as to attract lost viewers back.

George Orwell wrote about the topic in his novel, “1984,” in which Newspeak was the language of government and propaganda, where everything meant the exact opposite of how it sounded.  I think technology has allowed those who would control us the same abilities Big Brother and his minions had in the novel, which is not good.

You see, when given massive amounts of power, instead of being benevolent and opening things up, human inclination is to shut them down and that is exactly where we find ourselves.  Since Barack Obama was president, we have seen the corruption of the government and social media in that government now is more than ever oppressive and unelected bureaucrats have more control over us than anyone could have envisioned other than novelists such as Orwell and Aldous Huxley.

We must resist at all costs.  I will see you tomorrow.

Our personal identity and security are now very important so I, like everyone else at the American Institute of Culinary Politics-Elemental News of the Day has had local Bakersfield, California, up-and-coming street artist, Simone, create some portraits of me.  The problem is in this hyper age of partisanship and the far left going bonkers, we have had to cut back on how much of ourselves we share with the readership.  Sad to say, it sucks especially for someone such as me who lives in a small community and owns a business.  I have been in professional foodservice for a long, long time and have known Stinkbug for an equally long time.
