324. TODAY IN HISTORY—THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 19, 2020

T. 1942 Thursday: During World War II, the Russians launched their offensive against the Germans along the Don Front—this would lead to the debacle at Stalingrad and the loss of the German Sixth Army. The battle inside Stalingrad would end as the Red Army began attacking Rumanian, Italian, and Hungarian positions north of Stalingrad. The thunderous boom of massed artillery pieces was devastating and many Rumanian troops were killed as their bunkers caved in atop them. Others began withdrawing for their lives as masses of tanks and infantry began attacking their positions. Operation Uranus was off to a good start.

  51. 2013 Tuesday: The Library of Congress commemorate the 150th Anniversary of President Abraham Lincoln’s ‘Gettysburg Address’–considered one of the greatest political speeches in U.S. history–at the historical site of the battle.  Meanwhile, in Iraq, dozens are killed and scores more injured as ISIS carries out a wave of suicide bombings and attacks.  Wipe ‘em out, Iraqis, wipe ‘em out.  Finally, a suicide bombing outside the Iranian Embassy in Beirut, Lebanon, kills at least 23 people and wounds scores of others.
  52. 2014 Wednesday: A second round of heavy snow hits the Northeastern part of the nation with the bulk of it accumulating around Buffalo, New York, with snowfall hitting five feet or more.  Seven people lost their lives and numerous travelers find themselves stranded.   In the UK, the Daily Mail breaks the story of one of its medical students- a jihadi-involved in beheading videos for ISIS.  Light ‘em up.
  53. 2015 Thursday: In the second Democratic Primary Debate, former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Senator Bernie Sanders, and former Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley argue about Wall Street and foreign policy.  Meanwhile, a U.S. Justice Department report says that ‘black Americans experience more use of nonlethal force by the police.’
  54. 2016 Saturday: After severely criticizing Donald Trump during the 2016 presidential campaign, former governor and GOP 2012 presidential nominee, Mitt Romney, went to meet with Trump and with Mike Pence, the vice-president elect.   It is interesting to note that Mittens[vii] wanted to be secretary of state.  Wow.  Not a lick of shame.

  56. 2018 Monday: A California judge halts President Trump’s new asylum ban while U.S. troops stationed along the southern border between the U.S. and Mexico begin withdrawing.  The ‘ever-reliable’ CNN reports that President Trump authorized U.S. troops to employ deadly force against illegal aliens trying to storm across the nation’s border.’  We don’t believe this; however, in some cases, we believe it sure as heck should be used.
  57. 2019 Tuesday: In the ongoing impeachment hearings under Adam Schiff, the Democratic chairman of the House Intel Committee, two witnesses appear, Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, member of the National Security Council and Jennifer Williams, an aide to Vice President Mike Pence, appeared in the first round of questioning early in the day.  In the afternoon session, former special envoy to the Ukraine Ambassador Kurt Volker and former NSC member Tim Morrison sat before members of the committee.  These four witnesses all bashed President Trump but when asked to provide evidence of an impeachable offense, NONE could name one, much to the frustration of “Lying” Adam Schiff and his fellow Trump-hating Democrats.
  58. 2020 Thursday:  The legal team of President Donald J. Trump went before the assembled news media cameras and microphones and laid out their preliminary case as to how the Canadian voting system, Dominion Voting Systems, was used across the nation to corrupt the national presidential election via an hidden network of foreign election-stealing software, counting systems, and how easy it is for the system’s workers as well as those on the ground where the elections occur to throw them in any direction the ‘winners’ want them thrown  This threatens the United States in ways heretofore unseen or imagined because Democrats claim they don’t want ‘foreign interference in our elections’ yet they are in bed with Xi Jinping and the Chi-Coms as well as the Russians and other nefarious globalist Deep State actors.  If anything, Canada had better come clean as if Trump prevails, we will have to punish the Canucks in ways they have never been punished.  Moreover, we now know HOW the Democrats flipped many House seats- especially in the Golden State- back in 2018, the time when California began using the Dominion Voting System.   Meanwhile, two House Republicans call for an investigation into the 2020 Elections.
  59. 2020 Thursday A:  That POS ;Judge Emmet G. Sullivan orders the U.S. to stop expelling unaccompanied illegal alien brats on the southern border.  We say, “Continue expelling them.”   Another loser- John Bolton- says, ‘Trump’s enemies list will lead to more firings.’  Well, John, there are many people who must be fired, especially if they are scumbags such as you.
  60. 2020 Thursday B: Tonight’s Thursday Night Football game: (1) Arizona Cardinals (6-3) @ Seattle Seahawks (6-3) 5:20 P.M.   The Seahawks won 28-21 putting their record to 7-3 while Arizona dropped to 6-4.
  61. 2020 Thursday C: Folks, here are the numbers for the Xi Jinping Yellow Fever, Chi-Com Virus, the Wuhan Horseshoe Bat Flu- Pelosi Pox:  Here are the statistics for the planet as a whole: 56,435,244 confirmed cases, +411,114, 1,352,755, confirmed deaths, +7,136, and 36,291,080 confirmed recoveries, +321,840.  Next, here are the stats for the United States, the intended target of the Chinese-engineered Wuhan Virus pandemic: 11,760,051 confirmed cases, UP 213,818 from yesterday’s reporting, 255,496 confirmed deaths, UP 2,073, and 6,123,941 confirmed recoveries, UP 27,943.  Here are the stats for Israel now that Mo is living there: 327,049 confirmed cases, 2,742 confirmed deaths, and 315,930 confirmed recoveries.
  62. 2020 Thursday D: Next, in the three states in which, the world-famous, anti-communist American Institute of Culinary Politics-the Elemental News of the Day employs chef-bloggers- California, Hawaii, and Washington- here are the stats, California first: 1,069,316 confirmed cases, 18,466 confirmed deaths, and NO MENTION of confirmed recoveries.  Next here are the numbers for Hawaii: 16,817 confirmed cases, 223 confirmed deaths, and as of last week, NO MENTION of confirmed recoveries.  Finally, here are the stats for leftist-Marxist-socialist hellhole of Washington: 142,511 confirmed cases, 2,704 confirmed deaths, and NO MENTION of confirmed recoveries.  Let’s look at one other state: Iowa- currently, they have 198,674 confirmed cases, 2,102 confirmed deaths, and 112,778 confirmed recoveries- thanks for your honest reporting.
  63. 2020 Thursday E: We had an UP day in the markets today.  Here are the stats for today’s Stock Market closes: first the DOW Jones Industrial Average, 29,483.23, UP 44.81 points (+0.15%).  Next, here are the stats for the NASDAQ:  11,904.71, UP 103.11 points (+0.87%).  Finally, here are the numbers for the S&P 500: 3,581.87, UP 14.08 points (+0.39%).  Price of GOLD: $1,860.20 per troy oz., -1.30 (-0.07%)  Here is the price of SILVER: $23.98 per troy oz., -0.063 (-0.26%).  Price of PLATINUM: $954.20 per troy oz., +2.70 (+0.28%).  Price of PALLADIUM: $2,336.50 per troy oz., -17.50 (-0.74%).  Here is the price of COPPER: $3.21 per #, +0.0035 (+0.11%).   Price of Light Sweet Crude Oil per barrel: $41.62, -0.12 (-0.29%).  Today, one-dollar U.S. = 6.58 PRC yuan whereas one U.S. greenback = 0.84 euros.  Conversely, one-dollar U.S. = 28.51 Taiwanese dollars.   We are going to add the Canadian dollar to our currency count, seeing as how they are among the chief reasons the 2020 presidential election is in flux now, thanks to Dominion Voting Systems corruption:  one Canuck dollar = $1.31 compared with a U.S. greenback.  Shame on them.  Meanwhile, jobless claims last week increased to 792,000 first-time jobless claims.
  64. 2020 Thursday F: We learn that IF “Pro-China Joe” Biden should ‘win’ the 2020 Presidential Election, he will return U.S.-Cuban relations to 2016.  Even after these scumbags have attacked our embassy personnel, the communist-lover Joe Biden will sell out our country’s interests and the interests of the Cuban-American population so he can favor yet another communist crap hole country.  Elsewhere, the Trump administration will NOT brief “Pro-China Joe” Biden’s transition team on the distribution plan for the Chi-Vi vaccine lest he- in our view- share the information with the Chi-Coms in Beijing.

ALBUM OF THE DAY AT THE AICPENDBLOG.COM:

Foreigner released their next ‘best of’ compilation “Complete Greatest Hits” on December 12, 2002, just in time for holiday shopping as who doesn’t enjoy some hot rock and roll music in one’s Christmas stocking- that’s right, we still celebrate CHRISTMAS!  This one runs close to 75 minutes with 20 BIG HITS and BLAZING ALBUM TRACKS all in one place.  If you want to remind your ears as to how great this music was, this is a phenomenal way in which to do it and if you have some punk-assed brat in your family grooving to Adam Levine, Maroon Five, and picking its genderless nose, rip the earbuds out of their ears, put this one on turntable (wax is best and besides, “Pro-China Joe” Biden swears you should leave the record player on for the kids at night) and turn the VOLUME UP.  They will toss Maroon Five into the garbage within minutes.  Please, seek it out and add it to your collection- you’re gonna love it.

JTF: The only way humankind will recognize its potential is if all civilized major nations- U.S. China, Russia, India, and European Union- join together in a Grand Bargain to bring about global peace and then to reach the stars

President Trump is correct when he says that previous American leaders put our country into an unfair advantage with the PRC. Yes, they negotiated deals with the Chinese at great expense to the American people and all President Trump is doing is to level the playing field. What can be wrong with that when everyone will gain something and no one will be left holding the bag.

FALL SESSION 2019

BLOG POST #3,306 AT THE AICP-END

352 DAYS UNTIL ELECTION DAY 2020

Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Tibet are in the Chinese sphere of influence; doesn’t mean we can work together to effect Itzi’s “Grand Bargain” concept…

Century City, CA 90067, 11-19-2019 Tuesday:  Friends, good morning.  The creators and participants of our blogs have communed together at our annual meeting and we have decided that we will no longer criticize the People’s Republic of China.  I will clarify one thing, however, and that is we won’t back down when it comes to the ongoing trade talks between our nation and theirs because there must be an equitable agreement that will benefit both sides for, let’s say, the next half-century.

However, when it comes to Hong Kong, Tibet, and Taiwan, it is clear those territories exist within China’s wheelhouse so we will leave it to them to make whatever determination they choose.  We trust it will be a humane one and that people living in those territories will discover there much to be gained from cooperating with Beijing.

Most of us believe that one day, China will be the leader among nations.  At one time, this may have frightened millions of people the world over but that was then and this is now.  We no longer see violence committed against the Chinese people by emissaries of the government such as when Chairman Mao’s Red Guards who took to the streets on his behalf and dealt out what he considered to be ‘justice.’

Likewise, the Cultural Revolution[i] is no more and the people of China are building an astounding country, one that will set the path forward for decades to come.  We can only hope that as their lives improve and their people enjoy what everyone else living in the First World does that we can all come together and work together for our mutual benefit.  We have much to learn from them just as they can increase their knowledge by emulating and learning from us.

The ONLY way peace will ever come to the entire world is through global cooperation of the BIG POWERS.  Countries such as China and the United States have much to gain by working in peace and harmony with one another.  No one wants war so why should there be war when there is much for everyone to achieve.  No one nation must sit atop the globe and rule it as a sole leader.  We can bring peace to every region of the world and then we can leap off the surface of the Earth, settle the moon, and from there expand out into our Solar System.

My colleagues have mentioned a goal in earlier posts that made sense to me.  Chef Itzi- a liberal Democrat- first began writing about it back in September 2014 in which, she called for a modern-day ‘Grand Bargain’ among the civilized nations of the world with which to wipe out Islamist terrorism.

In her post (see references) she made a great deal of sense because such alliances have worked before and can work again, something the Dems in power now are always wailing about, ‘how Donald J. Trump is toppling our beloved alliances.’

Imagine if the United States, Russia, the European Union, India, Japan, South Korea, and China- among other nations- all set aside their differences to harmonize the entire planet.  Each of these nations or groups would deal with the problems in their particular region and once peace was established there would assist others if the need arose in civilizing their regions.

Let’s say the United States would have free rein to run the board in Mexico and Central America, that our country could go in there and wipe the floor with the narcoterrorists and other scum so destabilizing the region.

Let’s say that Russia and the European Union would be responsible for bringing the Middle East under control, stamping out radical Islam not only there but across the entirety of North Africa and into the northern interior.

Let us say, too, that the Europeans and the Americans would contend with West Africa and that India and China would contend with the Islamist states in Central Asia as well as the eastern shore of Africa.  They would wipe out terrorism and piracy there as we would along the coast and interior of West Africa.

Other nations could join us such as Brazil and Argentina.  Every nation under threat of insurgency could join up and together we could bring peace back to the people.  Once done, the alliance would supplant the United Nations, becoming the de facto global rulers who would maintain peace and stability while working to better the lives of everyone.

Now, I know many will claim that this is all ‘pie in the sky.’  Well, let us agree that alliances of opposites have worked before and can work again.  President Trump is working hard to bring prosperity and status back to America but I think we will never ever resemble the power and the potential that China now has and one day will become.

Throughout history, while some nations decline others rise.  I think that an alliance such as this is the ONLY way we can raise humanity to the next level.  We must set religious differences and ethnic differences aside so we can colonize the moon, the planets and their moons and then expand out into space.  It is not possible to conquer the ‘final frontier’ as Gene Roddenberry’s “Star Trek”[ii] said without the entire planet being united.

If this is ‘socialism,’ then so be it.  We can share the pie together when war and conflict no longer exist.

See you tomorrow.

[i] The Cultural Revolution was a time of ‘purification’ in Mao Zedong’s China when young cadres of idealized people went out across the countryside and brought the revolution to the people.  While not pretty and violent in many places, it did set the mindset of the modern day Chinese communist party.  Please check the ad section at the bottom of the post as we have selected some edifying books.

[ii] Most viewers of the original Star Trek believe that Gene Roddenberry’s world was one of socialism as everyone was more or less equal.  It’s funny that the original show did not last more than 2, possibly 3 seasons?  Can’t recall.  You look it up.

Just the Facts: the American left detests the U.S. military and yet, when President Trump wants to draw down our forces saving blood and treasure, suddenly they go berserk- what’s up with that?

I for one believe pulling out of Syria is not a bad thing just as I believe after 16-17 years of war in Afghanistan that pulling out and coming home is not such a bad thing either. I mean, how long is ‘how long,’ folks, how long should we continue spending billions and billions of dollars fighting a multi-generational war in the wild lands north of India? Those people are NEVER going to submit.

WINTER SESSION 2018

BLOG POST #2,976 AT THE AICP-END

681 DAYS UNTIL ELECTION DAY 2020

CHRISTMAS EVE!  PEACE ON EARTH, GOOD WILL TO HUMANITY!

How long and in how many places must the United States continue shedding blood and treasure?  Infinity?

Oildale, CA, 12-24-2018 Monday: Shalom, friends, I, your host, Moses Scharbug III have returned to do the final week of the year and then the first week of the new.  What can be better than that?  I was thinking I would promote music, that I would share with you the photos of my wife’s beautiful garden flowers, she is such a superb gardener that I have encouraged her many times over the decades that perhaps she should open her own nursery and share her love of plants and flowers.

Unfortunately, current events drag us back kicking and screaming like the henchmen of Josef Stalin dragging back an out-of-favor commissar.  No matter how we seek to tunnel under the wall of the prison and flee to the fields and woods beyond, the scum drag us back, whether we want to submit or we don’t, the news media and their pundits continue pulling us back.  It simply is not right.

Last week, President Donald J. Trump once again shocked the entire world when he (1) said we were going to withdraw from Syria, (2) draw down in Afghanistan, and (3) that Secretary of Defense (Marine Corps) General James “Mad Dog” Mattis was going to leave the president’s employ.  Needless to say, shock abounded and the Democrats could hardly contain themselves- ‘HE’S STEPPED IN IT NOW!’

Now, President Trump campaigned on pulling our troops out of numerous Third World locales and that the United States would do its best to refrain from being the policeman of the world, a goal for which, the American left has long demanded. “No more foreign adventures,” and “No blood for oil,” and other catchy phrases that denigrate the role the United States has played in the world since World Wars I and II.

I think we have made our point, actually made it long ago when after the Twin Towers came down, and we sent the fury of the American people into that battle-scarred hellhole of a country and did some serious ass-whooping.  We cleaned out the filth, we ruined the Taliban, and we chased Osama bin Laden into neighboring Pakistan where he went into self-imposed retirement- until we located and wasted him.

However, to continue pouring money into a money pit makes no sense just as sending America’s youth to fight, suffer grievous wounds, and die, for years and years and years, what is the point?  It is not as though 90-percent of the Afghan people supported us and did not launch insider attacks because they don’t and they still do, so tell me what is the point?

As for Syria, that country might be an enemy of Israel, best buds with Iran, a backer and supporter of Hamas and Hezbollah but prior to the attempted overthrow of Bashar al-Assad and then the violent civil war that has destabilized the entire region, we at least knew who we were getting.  A man just as insecure of holding onto power because of his being a religious minority and an unpopular one at that among Muslims, as any other Arab and Middle Eastern potentate.

President Trump has determined that we have laid waste to ISIS, which we have, but like al-Qaida and the Taliban, they never go away because they are akin to cancer that pops up here and pops up there.  How long should we continue fighting these people when others in the region, as well as our NATO allies, should be fighting them using the same vigor with which, we have as what goes on there affects them, too.

If you read your Roman history, the Western Roman Empire imploded because of continual warfare, both at home and abroad.  It fell apart because politics ruled the day instead of common sense.  Some people fought the wars while others remained at home profiting off the death and bloodshed of their fellow citizens all for what?  To become wealthy?

I suspect that most everyone screaming and crying about pulling out of Syria and cutting our forces in Afghanistan has a hand in the pie.  People and corporations and politicians ALL make big bucks by funding wars, selling weapons, and working on infrastructure to the tune of overinflated costs and expenses.

While the fat cats grow fatter, our fellow citizens come home in coffins or missing limbs, eyes, ears, disfigured for life, many to become homeless, undergo mental illness, and commit suicide, again for what?  So the military-industrial complex can grow richer?

I recall when President Trump had not been in office very long, we lost several Special Forces soldiers in West Africa and everyone was shocked.  Why didn’t the President know about this (is what they said).

I think up until that time, he probably had no clue as to how many places around the world we have troops so it is high time we begin reviewing ALL places where we are engaged and begin thinking of OUR nation first and the rest of the world- outside our allies like Israel and the Europeans- and stop fighting endless wars.

We will continue tomorrow, friends.  For my Christian readers, have a wonderful Christmas Eve and we will reconvene tomorrow same time, same place, and we will continue our discussion.

Merry Christmas!

Upon leaving the Jeff Beck Group, vocalist Rod Stewart went into the studio to record his first album, “The Rod Stewart Album” (November 07, 1969).  Joining him in this endeavor was a cast of fellow musicians such as Ron Wood (guitars/harmonica/backing vocals), Martin Pugh (guitars), Martin Quittenton (acoustic guitars), Mickey Waller (drums), Ian McLagan (keyboards), and Keith Emerson (keyboards).  This was a glorious introductory album that received positive reviews which is why we are so big on it.  We urge everyone to use the link we provide you here so you can visit Amazon.com.  Once there, you can pick it up in the format, the condition, and the price that works best for you- you will be glad you did.

I would have thought California would have arrived at the tipping point by now but apparently not: Gavin Newsom is our governor

You see, if it is going to come down to us and our neighbors to be the front line in the defense of our neighborhoods, our homes, and our businesses, then so be it. We are pursuing concealed carry permits before Little Gavin Newsom strips that right from us. Never a big firearms buff, I now see that only I can protect me and my family and if I have to stand firm in front of a mob of screaming Hondurans, then so be it. We do what we must.

FALL SESSION 2018

BLOG POST #2,941 AT THE AICP-END

716 DAYS UNTIL ELECTION DAY 2020

No one should ever pay attention to MY prognostications…

San Luis Obispo, CA, 11-19-2018 Monday: First, let me say to Chef Lily, girl, I am pleased to be following you and have read your posts with earnestness to see what you had to say.  I had to laugh when I read that you labeled the new congresswoman from the Empire State, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, “Baby Evita.”  I cannot think of a more apt description than that one, “Don’t cry for me, United States.”  Yeah, right, that girl is a crazy commie socialist.

I suspect she will not be good for New York nor will she be good for the United States.  As a businessowner with my husband, Elizondo, we view all this far-left democratic-socialism with shock and apathy, who would ever have thought that in the land of the red, white, and blue, we would have sprouted all these noxious, far-left loser weeds?  Where oh where has the educational system gone?

I must admit, too, that NO one should ever listen to MY prognostications.  That is correct, I looked back on my posts from early summer and realized I was wrong on just about everything.  I truly thought that there were signs of cracks in the massive BLUE WALL here in California and that cooler heads and saner minds would prevail and maybe some of these socialist democrats mucking up our state would lose their seats to up-and-coming, freedom-loving conservatives.

Instead, these ninnies achieved more seats, unseating numerous Republicans and the one Libertarian running for Congress came nowhere near a victory.  I think California is gone, I think it has tipped off the edge and flown into the abyss.

Now that we have Gavin Newsom our new governor-elect, that boy wonder wants to give FREE health care to ILLEGAL ALIENS, he wants to provide FREE HIGHER EDUCATION to all who seek it, which is going to force numerous businesses such as ours to possibly shutter their doors and move to Texas, Idaho, or maybe even Tasmania.

Maybe the FREE EVERYTHING spiel works in gay San Francisco and around the Bay Area but there is no way that the depleted tax base throughout the rest of the state is going to be able to fund this national socialist-fascist giveaway.

Sure, we recognize who the Democrats now target: they want the young people and they want the illegal aliens.  They want the felons both within and without the state prison walls and they want space aliens if they would be so kind as to land in Sacramento and request to register ‘Democrat.’

What we are seeing on our southern border right now has instilled the fear of God into all of us.  Say what you will about the Trump administration, it is the only thing standing between us and total anarchy.  Elizondo and I have gone to the store and purchased more firearms and have spent considerable time at the shooting range to hone up our skills, with both hand-and-long guns.

Back on Monday, June 4 of this year, I was encouraging everyone to go to the polls and to vote Republican in the primaries because if we want the scourge of homelessness to end, there was only one way to do it and that was to put Republican John Cox into the governor’s mansion.

If you were tired of tramps and hobos, derelicts and bums, hanging out in the doorways of your business or going through the dumpsters out back looking for a moldy steak or rotten French fries, there was but one way to do it and that was to vote for the Republicans.

As a Libertarian, I have ideals, I believe in freedom, independence, and the right to choose how one should be able to live one’s life.  That does not mean that I dispute law and order, we all need law and order to regulate society and to protect the people who make it work.  Without law and order, everything will go to hell and believe you me, it’s on the way there now in a handbasket.

My husband and I have no clue as to where things are going.  We do know, however, that they most likely are not going to go in our favor as the people of this state could not even vote down the atrocious gas tax that makes about twenty cents per dollar spent on a gallon of gas go to the gas while everything else heads to the tax man.

We know state income taxes are going to go up because we live under the ever-increasing weight of CalPERS and other state employee programs as well as with the high-speed rail boondoggle that creeps along at snail’s pace and will NEVER be built.

Taxes will become so oppressive that moving to another state is the only thing remaining to us, sort of like when Chef Lily says she and her family may have to do the same thing to keep their heads above water.

I would have thought that people would have had enough by now but apparently not.  I haven’t a clue when we will reach the tipping point, I would have thought we would have hit it long, long ago.

Friends, sorry to be so glum, it was not my intention to be this way.  I will say, I am in a week early as Mo generally does Thanksgiving week but the poor old guy’s liver is acting up so we hope he will be able to do the Christmas-to-New Year’s stint.  If not, well, let’s pray for him.  At least he still makes a daily comment or two at his Google Plus page.

See you tomorrow.  Great to be back.

Above, you see the caricature created for me by Bakersfield street artist, the amazing Simone.  We have gone this route because of increasing threats against the blog and its members.  I began my career as a young chef in the kitchen back in 1975, earlier than that.  I apprenticed underneath my father and spent six years working for him in his British-Irish restaurant in Fresno, California.  I later moved to Frazier Park, California, and spent quite a few years working in the area and that is where I met Stinkbug.  Anyhow, I am now working at a country club over on the coast near San Luis Obispo.  Please note: this is my pen name and any photos of me are simply outdated photos adopted for maintaining my privacy.

FEATURED ALBUM OF THE DAY:

The reformed Wishbone Ash featured Martin Turner (bass/vocals), Ted Turner (guitars/vocals- no relation to Martin), Andy Powell (guitars/vocals), and Steve Upton (drums) released their next album, “Live in Bristol,” on July 29, 1990 and this effort was somewhat of a disappointment for long-time fans as there was more ‘newer music’ (who can blame them) than ‘ancient classics.’  We urge everyone to use the link we provide you here so you can journey to Amazon.com where you can pick it up in the format, the condition, and the price that works best for you.

Following the death of Jim Morrison, the Doors reformed with Robby Krieger (guitars/vocals), Ray Manzarek (keyboards/vocals), John Densmore (drums/percussion), with several studio musicians to round out the effort.  This was a great album, no doubts about it whatsoever, and many of the tunes would have been on the next Morrison-fronted album had the vocalist not died.  One tune, “Tightrope Ride” with Manzarek doing the vocals received considerable airplay and had music fans been more accepting might have been a massive hit.  We hope you will use the link we provide you here so you can go to Amazon.com and once there, you can pick it up in the format, the condition, and the price that works best for you.  You will be glad you did.
