JTF: Where Democrats possess near complete control for decades, the end result is decay, destitution, destruction, degeneracy, and death- welcome to California

The Smiler wants to do away with all fossil fuels so we can live the dream the leftist environmentalists continue bragging about, a dream so distant, a dream so laughable, that every single day of the week, people are piling their household goods into the backs of U-Haul trucks, onto the tops of their cars and into the backs of their pickup trucks like Dust Bowl refugees of the 1930s and heading back to the Midwest.

BLOG POST #3,316 AT THE AICP-END

342 DAYS UNTIL ELECTION DAY 2020

California’s golden dream is dying, thanks to the Democrats…

San Diego, CA 92122, 11-29-2019 Friday:  IF you live in the crumbling Golden State AND you watch television, you see these ads from, I think, “Keep California Golden,” or some opossum feces such as that, in which, the narrator says he, as California, is ‘leaving this and that to the people of California as long as they promise to care for it and to pass it on the way they found it.”  If you have seen these vexing PSAs you understand that it is a load of crap and that our state is rapidly becoming a binary one in which, we have loads of wealthy people littering the top and even more folks living in poverty at the bottom.  It is not what it was when I was younger and sadly since Gov. Pete Wilson left office, we have been in a long, slow decline.

The ads are crap, mis amigos, but then, I already said that.  IF the narrator of the commercial mentioned something like, ‘and California, I charge each of you, rich and poor alike, not to let homeless destitute drug addicts drop their trousers and leave a big steaming load of fecal matter there for everyone to step in as they attempt to avoid other piles and big slick patches all over the sidewalk of half-dried drug addict urine.’

Everyone I know laughs at these so-called ‘public service announcements’ about ‘protecting’ what we have here in our once-golden state, because it is clear that if you venture into any city along the coast or up the central valley region, you will see disgusting piles of human waste and puddles of urine what with used hypodermic needles floating in them or littering the streets.

If you go out walking with your dogs in the morning, you will see signs up and down major streets proclaiming this group and that group claims responsibility for keeping a stretch of road clean.  Well, I may see the signs but there is scant evidence that anyone is honoring their word so they can maintain the sign that acknowledges their ‘non-existent public service.’

San Diego is not immune from this sort of neglect as we always have Democrats running the show.  They all toe the line with whatever bull crap emanates out of Sacramento from our beloved governor, the “Smiler,” Gavin Newsom.  This loser is happy to preside over the downfall of the state all the while proclaiming he is working for US and for OUR STATE.  He is the worst.

I think that he and our state attorney-general, the not-so-illustrious Xavier Becerra, like seeing the state the way it is because they can then use the misery and sadness that seems to permeate everything here as yet another avenue with which they can blame Donald Trump, even though Republicans have had NO control here for about two decades.

For those of us unwilling to pull up stakes and move to friendlier environs, we see the costs of doing business going up by the day.  The cost of power, the cost of paying taxes, the costs of supplies coupled with an ever-increasing minimum wage which is driving up the cost of everything, almost like a VAT tax, is causing one restaurant after another to close.

Businesses cannot keep their doors open if they are paying out more than is coming in and as businesses close one by one so do the companies that supply them.  Everyone from the food and beverage services to uniform and laundry companies are having a grim time maintaining their employees and providing them full-time hours, because unlike other parts of the country where the Trump economy is booming, we are in a state that is contracting.

Our blog is based in Oildale, California, part of Greater Bakersfield and even there, where the economy is doing somewhat better, restaurants are closing.  A place that my wife and I have enjoyed dining at over the years- Café Med- is closing after 28 years in business and right before the holidays.

Chef-owner Meir Brown has run a quality establishment for a long, long time and was unable to keep up with the costs of doing business over the summer, which he says hit $8,500 per month.  This included compensating 50 employees, paying rent, paying for gas and electric, and paying for supplies.

Every restaurant has to suffer these costs and for many, with the California minimum wage creeping up all the time, people have to determine whether it is even worth doing business.

It seems like every day, another chain restaurant opens up just do the ever-present food trucks, many of them unlicensed and devoid of health inspections.  If you go to an event like a live show or a sporting event at night, the moment you exit, all sorts of illegal aliens have grills set up where they cook mystery meat stuffed into tacos and burritos.

Like spending time in the Caribbean, anyone with common sense understands that to eat ‘street food’ is to put one’s life at risk.  Yet, here are these illegal vendors selling dog or cat meat and very seldom is it worth the trouble of a cop or health inspector showing up.

Anyone who purchases food from these people or a food truck or from a chain restaurant is stabbing local restauranteurs in the heart.  Our business is struggling to survive and I am not sure how long my kids will be able to keep the family-owned operation alive and well but if we do not flip the state from deepest, darkest blue to a bright blood red between here and 2024, we may as well head east with everyone else.

Gov. Newsom, I truly hope that a POS such as yourself is proud of the irreparable damage you are causing our state.  I hope we see you recalled and booted out of office because you need to go.  Take that other POS Xavier Becerra with you and don’t let the cantina door hit you in your asses on the way out.

See you tomorrow.  I hope I am in a better mood and I hope your Thanksgiving holiday was a good one.

Nos vemos entonces para la sesión de fin de semana.

Just the Facts: Apocalypse anyone? End Times? If you want to see it in person, come to the City of Departed Angels where third world disease, illegal aliens, the homeless, and no hope reigns

That video shocked the living daylights out of me. I agree with Mo and some of my other colleagues that it might be nice if we could ‘act like Russia or China’ and begin using extreme force to repel the invasion. I am beginning to think that flying full metal jackets from a 50-caliber pig fired into the hordes as they pour across the border are more humane than building the wall (although we sure as hell need the wall) because some illegal alien deaths would stop the rest from coming.

520 DAYS UNTIL ELECTION DAY 2020

Los Angeles is dying beneath the weight of illegal aliens, beneath grinding poverty, a place where homelessness abounds, where third world diseases long-ago-conquered are rearing their ugly heads- SOS to the world

Century City, CA, 06-03-2019 Monday:  Like many in this life, I began mine a rabid liberal, long hair, unkempt beard, wild-eyed, screaming and yelling in the streets, demanding this, desiring that, misbehaving and acting the fool.  I cannot tell you how glad I am to have moved away from the far-left side of the political aisle over to the more moderate center, center-right if you will.  The issues that initiated my transition from liberal to somewhat more conservative are (1) the economy, (2) the southern border, and (3) the fact that the Green Movement ain’t the ‘Green Movement’ anymore but full tilt boogie to socialism in the here-and-now.  I did not sign up for that.

Last time I was here, I fretted about whether the Democrats- in their insane hatred of President Trump- would do everything possible to destroy the economy in the idea that it would defeat the president and drive him from office.

Just the Facts: if you want a foreshadowing of what socialism brings, all you need to do is to spend a night or two in San Francisco- Eric and I have never seen anything like it in our lives

Employees were fearful of going to and from their homes as it meant having to go through the congested, dirty streets every single day, always possible the chance encounters with violent, drug-addicted people. They feared being caught in a place due to car trouble or on public transportation that could lead to them being attacked, murdered, or infected with tainted blood via close proximity to sick and diseased, drug-addled or HIV-AIDS-infected people.

BLOG POST #3,121 AT THE AICP-END

536 DAYS UNTIL ELECTION DAY 2020

Next time we visit California, we will fly to Vegas and then drive in or catch a puddle jumper but we are NEVER visiting San Francisco ever again…

Kula, HI, 05-18-2019 Saturday:  I must say, I am new to the Twitter thing and am finding my way tentatively around its numerous restrictions.  My colleagues, Mo and Stinkbug have been punished for speaking their minds, something I am hoping to avoid.  Currently, Stinky has been off for a week all because he will not delete a tweet he sent to the Daily Caller last week in which, he said ‘we must use deadly force on the southern border while we still have the time.’

Twitter has given him at least two opportunities to delete the tweet and move on with his Twitter life but he won’t budge and is willing to have our company attorneys go after Jack Dorsey and his penchant for silencing or stifling conservative voices while allowing nutty liberals to run wild.  Why should Stinky give in?

Of course what Chef Craig said was seen as controversial but so flipping what?  We must demand that ALL speech be heard lest we venture into a totalitarian state where the big tech giants do the work of one political viewpoint.  This is the stuff of novels, folks, the kind that seemingly are becoming truer by the day, like George Orwell’s “1984.”  Big Brother is indeed watching and monitoring YOU, step out of line and you pay a price.

Granted, Stinky could have said use ‘lethal force’ rather than ‘deadly force.’  Perhaps ‘deadly force’ shocked the wimpy monitors at Twitter who are always on the lookout for conservative speech run amok.

Furthermore, they cannot stand it when someone braves the inevitable blowback and leftist tirades that are sure to come when someone says that we must do what the law says and that is if we cannot stop the invaders on our southern borders, then we should do whatever we must, even if it requires making the difficult choice and lighting the lolos up.

As I mentioned earlier in the week, my hubby and I are here in Oildale, California, home of the blog, as we are leaving for Las Vegas tomorrow to spend a week there before moving on to visit family in Chicago and elsewhere.  We are seeing firsthand the results of nonstop invasion all over Bakersfield and Oildale as everywhere one goes, one sees illegals all over the place.

Neighborhoods that once were low income white like Oildale, a community that once had a thriving country-and-western scene what with Buck Owens and Merle Haggard and Red Simpson and the like now is rife with mariachi music blasting out of strip malls, in neighborhoods, and in an entertainment scene moving from country bars to places one in their right mind would never ever go: like going into Happy Valley at midnight, you just don’t do it.

When we first flew into California, we did so up in San Francisco and boy, oh, boy, that city is nothing like what it used to be.  We hardly left our hotel as the only time we did and walked around, Eric and I were shocked: there was human feces all over the place, used hypodermic needles in the streets, on the sidewalks, and in nearby parks.

Homeless people wandered listlessly about, many appearing gaunt like zombies, most of them not even begging for money, just wandering around, dark circles under their eyes.  It was not too long ago since we had come to Frisco last and the deterioration shocked both of us.  We could not bear it and within a short period of time, we went back to the hotel and remained there until we left for Oildale the next day.

Many hotel employees would not speak about the travesty going on in their city openly and without cover.  However, late at night in the cocktail lounges, bartenders braved the possibility of being caught speaking negatively about their city and possibly losing their jobs.

After identifying ourselves as fellow restaurant owners and employers, many opened up to us and told us that the worsening of their once-beautiful and much-beloved city was occurring at a breakneck pace, the likes of which, no one had ever seen.

Eric and I thought the transformation of Maui was bad but this was shocking.  It made us wonder what manner of government could permit tent cities up and down the streets, sprouting like poisonous toadstools and deleterious mushrooms where people lay openly on the streets, among the fecal wastes of their fellows, big puddles of yellow and brown urine in the gutters.  What government would permit this?

Apparently a government that could care less about its people, viewing them as little more than the Roman Head Count, the impoverished, landless lower end of society, valuable only in times of elections.  Then and only then do they do anything for these lost souls.  If you want to see socialism in action, come and visit San Francisco, you will find what you see highly appalling, something that will scar one for life.

Next time we visit California, I think we will fly into Vegas and then either drive in or catch a commuter flight from there to Bakersfield.  We will never visit San Francisco again, not until sanity returns to civil government and the lost souls are provided humane and much-needed care.  Yet, they still welcome illegals with open arms while fellow citizens suffer in the streets.

Good God!  What has happened to our country?

I began working at the Maui Prince Hotel back in the 1970s.  I apprenticed under some of the best European chefs back in the day and met Stinkbug, our mentor, on Maui in 1990.  Presently, I am working up in Kula at one of the restaurants high up on Haleakala—it is a glorious life.  The facsimiles you see of me were created by the famed up-and-coming, Bakersfield, California, street artist, the fabulous Simone.  Thank you so much for the uh, beautiful likeness of me, your beloved pau hana host.
