At the time of publication, we have not yet heard whether this political activist judge will do what was asked of him or whether he will continue trying to go after Flynn. It is clear to everyone with half-a-brain or more that it’s OVER, the man has been unfairly punished and forced into pleading guilty to save his family members. It has cost him $6.7 million to defend himself from this frivolous batch of bulls**t.
  69. 2020 Wednesday A: Here are the Kung Flu stats for the world today: 9,237,691 confirmed cases, 476,911 confirmed deaths, and 4,613,425 confirmed recoveries.  Next, in the United States, here are today’s stats for the Chinese Virus Crisis: 2,425,361 confirmed cases, 123,726 confirmed deaths, and 746,563 confirmed recoveries.  Next, in the three states in which, the world-famous American Institute of Culinary Politics-The Elemental News of the Day possesses chef-authors- California, Hawaii, and Washington- here are the stats, the NOT-so-Golden State first: 190,222 confirmed cases, 5,632 confirmed deaths, and as usual, NO mention of confirmed recoveries.  Next, in the Aloha State, here are today’s stats: 819 confirmed cases, 17 confirmed deaths, and 673 confirmed recoveries.  Lastly, in the Evergreen State, here are the stats: 29,826 confirmed cases, 1,293 confirmed deaths, but like California, NO mention of confirmed recoveries.  For the fun of it, let’s look at the numbers for Michigan: 68,555 confirmed cases, 6,114 confirmed deaths, but sadly, Napoleonic Governor Gretchen Whitmer WON’T release the number of confirmed recoveries.

Trump announces he will sign an executive order that will forbid the desecration of federal monuments or memorials with the possibility of 10 years in federal prison.  We have seen uncontrolled mobs, filled with communists and funded by the Chinese Communist Party (or so we believe) that the minute a horrible crime like the slaying of George Floyd occurs, take to the streets across the nation destroying everything in their path as though they were reincarnations of Mao Zedong’s Red Guards.  Sign it, Mr. President, sign it, and let’s see this scum go to PRISON for good.

Like Roky Erickson of the 13th Floor Elevators, there is a certain mystique about fallen ‘acid warriors,’ people whose minds have crossed to the other side and failed to make the transition back.  People are curious and want to hear any unreleased material and “Opel” by Syd Barret, an album of outtakes and alternates and some unreleased tunes from his 1968-69 sessions came out on October 17, 1988.  This is a fascinating album to be sure and it sure is a shame that Barrett went whacko but like Erickson, even whacko, he could produce some phenomenal music.  We hope you will seek this album out and consider adding it to your growing collection.  You will enjoy it.

ALBUM OF THE DAY AT THE AICPENDBLOG.COM:

#PF001.1l Obscured by Clouds #12 04-19-2020 (400)

Pink Floyd released their next album, a soundtrack entitled, “Obscured by Clouds,” on June 02, 1972, music for a French film about a primitive tribe living deep within the rainforest. The songs all weave and flow about one another in an acoustic, mostly non-vocal way and could be prep-work for their next album, one that would make them global international rock stars. Still, if you are a completist as we are, you want to own every iota, every musical note, every little tidbit of this band’s amazing work because they are and will always be GREAT. When compared with modern music, there is no way anything produced NOW will ever be as great as the music of 48 years ago. Please, seek it out and add it to your growing collection- you will be so glad you did.

Just the Facts: compared to the rest of the 2020 Democratic pack, “Corrupt Joe” Biden smells like the proverbial rose

Now, I have NOTHING against Joe Biden running for the nomination of the Democratic Party, nothing whatsoever, as compared to some of the OTHER potential candidates, “Corrupt Joe” or “Chinese-Owned Joe” are far more tolerable. I say this because even though Joe is a somewhat crooked guy who dispatched his son, Hunter, to do deals in the Ukraine that put a massive amount of change in the pockets of the family, I do not think he HATES the country he wants to run like the rest of the pack seemingly does.

Santa Barbara, CA, 05-01-2019 Wednesday:  Good morning, welcome to the May Day 2019 Edition of the American Institute of Culinary Politics-Elemental News of the Day.  This is the day when communists (and labor unions) around the globe take to the streets in reverence of their heroes, Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels, Chairman Mao Zedong, Ilyich Vladimir Lenin, Josef Stalin, Nikita Khrushchev, Fidel Castro, Robert Mugabe, Hugo Chavez, and the Kim Family of North Korea.

Granted, NOT all celebrants of May Day revere communists but enough of them do, which is always fascinating.  In communist-run states, while labor unions may exist, they are little more than faux organizations to make it appear that workers have a choice.  Workers have no choice but as long as they believe they do, then the wheels of totalitarianism spin round and round.

This past Monday, we had the pleasure of watching “Middle Class Joe” Biden stand before an audience overflowing with union members.  He gave a somewhat rambling, incoherent speech, which was great, the crowd hooted and cheered in celebration that their favorite vice president of all time now was entering the fray for real.

Vice President Biden did much of the Obama administration’s dirty work, especially overseas in the former Soviet Union like in the Ukraine as well as in our number one enemy, Communist China.  All one need do is to read Peter Schweizer’s book, “Secret Empires” and one gets a clear picture of just how deep the corruption creeps.

The Ukraine, a place Bill Clinton guaranteed U.S. protection if they would only give up their nuclear weapons following the collapse of the Soviet Union, is perhaps one of the most corrupt places in the world according to Schweizer.  One would expect this because having been once a major part of both the Russian Empire and then the Soviet Union, the rule of law was often overlooked by government at all levels.

Politics has always been a business of personal enrichment and self-aggrandizement, how else can one be a middle class citizen before going to Washington, D.C., and then when retiring decades later come home a multi-millionaire?  Average folks understand what goes on there and wonder why the same rules do not apply to them?

Joe Biden’s son, Hunter, somehow managed to get a spot on the board of a Ukrainian energy business even though he lacked any kind of experience in the industry.  It was due simply to his family’s name as well as the fact that his father was the No. 2 man in the United States, a heartbeat away from the presidency.

If Americans engaged in this manner of corruption, most of us would be going to jail although we see the type of corruption in which, Democrats regularly engage such as the big cities of Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Detroit, and other major conurbations.  Look at the Jussie Smollett case as a prime example in the Windy City.

Because the state’s attorney in the case, Kimberly Foxx is a close friend of Michelle Obama and was most likely put into her job via the resources of far-left financier George Soros, Jussie Smollett somehow beat the rap for the crime he himself orchestrated: having two friends ‘rough him up’ so he could tar-and-feather President Donald J. Trump and his supporters.

Now, we haven’t a clue as to whether he or his savior, Kim Foxx, will be able to beat the heat now coming down atop both her and him for the failed scam, there is a good chance they will because very, very seldom do we ever see liberals catch the same degree of trouble that conservatives might.  It is the way of the world and I find it extremely sad that it is.

The same thing can be said of the college scandal that has enthralled the nation the past month or so.  We have seen actresses such as Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin in trouble for bribing university administrators, test-takers, and athletic coaches to do the things they and other liberals regularly decry others for doing: buying favoritism for their kids so they can earn hollow degrees to show like status symbols.

The country has enough problems already.  If on the Democratic side of the aisle for 2020 we have a corrupt but somewhat patriotic old guy vs. a bunch of far-leftists who hate the country they seek to lead, if I’m a Democrat, I am either voting for Donald J. Trump or for “Corrupt Joe” Biden.  It’s an ‘either-or’ situation folks, plain and simple.

Thanks for joining me today; we will be back here tomorrow.  See you then.

Back in the day, I was working at a hotel in Bakersfield, California, down on Union Avenue where I met Stinkbug.  It was still nice at the time, and the area was still the original “restaurant row” of the city.  Now, I am over 70 years old and work over in Santa Barbara, CA, as a food and beverage director for a fine-dining country club.  The pictures you see here of me are facsimiles created by up-and-coming Bakersfield, California, street artist, the famed Simone.  Good work, dude, good work.

FEATURED ALBUM OF THE DAY:

In between working with parent band, Genesis, Mike Rutherford went into the studio to record and deliver his second solo album.  “Acting Very Strange,” came out on September 07, 1982, and did fairly well.  Having learned from the debut album by Banks, the record company did some additional promotions work to get out to more fans of the band.  Joining the guitarist/bassist/and lead vocalist were Daryl Stuermer were John Alexander (guitars), J. Peter Robinson and Paul Fishman (keyboards), Gary Barnacle (saxophones), Stewart Copeland (drums), and Pete Phipps (drums/percussion).  This is a lovely album, one every fan of the band should seek out and add to their collection as you will, indeed, enjoy it.  We thank you.

Today, we have the first best-of compilation by the Los Angeles-based rock-and-roll band, Spirit: “Mojo Presents,” which came out on June 29, 2004.  This album has the crème de la crème of the first four albums plus the big single that received a great deal of airplay back in the day, “1984.”  This album is definitely one we hope everyone will consider adding to his or her collection as it is the sound of the times, heavy-duty, smoking psychedelic jazz-rock that will blow your mind- you will love it.

Ronnie Wood released his next album, this one a blast from the past: “The First Barbarians: Live from Kilburn” (October 22, 2007).  In his off time with the Rolling Stones, the legendary guitarist/vocalist formed a band with some of the best musicians available so he could go and perform the music from his solo albums.  Joining him were Keith Richards (guitars/piano/vocals), Willie Weeks (bass), Andy Newmark (drums), Ian McLagan (keyboards/backing vocals), and Rod Stewart (vocals).  The album comes from a show recorded in support of his first album, “I’ve Got Me Own Album to Do,” and is a must-own addition to any rock fan’s burgeoning music collection- you will love it.
