Just the Facts: at first, we determined to vote OUT Senator Dianne Feinstein whereas after careful consideration, we have decided to endorse her and here is why: she won’t survive another six-year term

We do not believe that Senator Feinstein has another six years left in her. While I am not saying she could drop dead tomorrow, tacky as that sounds, what we are saying is that she probably will not live out another term or will have to step down because of increasing bouts of senility.
Based on this judgment, we believe the BEST way to go is to vote for her. We believe this because we are gambling on Republican John Cox to win the gubernatorial race here in the Golden State, which would mean he would be able to appoint the NEXT senator from our state, a member of the Grand Old Party.

FALL SESSION 2018

BLOG POST #2,925 AT THE AICP-END

FOUR DAYS UNTIL ELECTION DAY 2018

We cover U.S. Senate race here in California as well as some Assembly, State Senate, and Judicial positions today

Santa Barbara, CA, 11-03-2018 Saturday:  Good morning, welcome to the weekend-before-Election Day edition of our blog, a place where everyone can go who seeks enlightenment.  We look upon ourselves as guides for the uneducated and the curious, which is why we are going to pick up here where we left off yesterday.

The battle for the United States senator from California is an important one, one that has had us at odds with another before we finally arrived a consensus over how to proceed.  You see, many of us believed (as I still do) that Senator Dianne Feinstein, approaching 90 years of age (or pretty damn close to it) deserved to lose her seat over the unconscionable thing she attempted to do to Judge, now-Associate Justice of the Supreme Court Brett Kavanaugh.

As you recall, Senator Feinstein, a California fixture like the La Brea tar pits, the Donner Pass, San Quentin State Prison, and seedy, fecal-covered San Francisco, sought to derail an amazing judge from making it onto the Supreme Court by painting him as some sort of misogynistic, woman-abusing, black-out drunk.

As you recall, she had a letter handed to her by a California congresswoman way back in July detailing the accusations of an alarmingly BAD witness, Dr. Christine Blasey Ford.  The Senator sat on it like a hen atop a brood of chicks until it appeared that there was no way the Democrats could halt the confirmation to the Supreme Court from going through so they went to their ever-faithful tactic of destroying the Judge.

It was ugly, millions were incensed that the Democrats would show no compunction at destroying not only Judge Kavanaugh but his wife, his two young daughters, and his extended family, friends, and everyone who believes in him.  This is something the Democrats almost always do and it is shocking at how little it bothers their conscience.

In the end, it blew up like a fiery sack of s**t on someone’s front porch, smack dab in their faces, leaving Senators Feinstein, Cory “Spartacus” Booker, Kamala Harris, Dick Durbin, and numerous others who took part in the politics of personal destruction.

The fact that no one talks about any of the charges brought forth by not only Senator Feinstein’s ‘witness’ and the sad trollops put forward by shyster lawyer, Michael Avenatti shows just how bogus the charges were.

Originally, we were thinking that voting for far-far-far-left, gun-hating and illegal alien-loving loser, California State Senator Kevin DeLeon over Dianne Feinstein was the way to go as the decrepit old wicked witch of the west needed to feel the napalm-intense fury of the voters and then when our collective anger lifted and we began to reevaluate the situation, we saw a different path to take.

On Tuesday, November 6, we will cast our votes for Senator Dianne Feinstein for yet another term, all the while holding our noses and keeping a bag close at hand in case we need to puke up our guts as we do so.

The reason for this is simple, which is why we are making the recommendation to you: WE KNOW that the drug store that does business with Capitol Hill sends over an inordinate amount of anti-senility drugs as they alluded to this fact earlier in the year without violating HIPAA requirements by naming names.  It does not take a rocket scientist to figure out WHO the majority are using these powerful medications.

We therefore are taking an educated gamble that John Cox will be our next governor which means we could have someone other than a frigging Democrat representing us in the U.S. Senate for four, five, maybe even six years rather than a putz such as DeLeon for six.  There is no other way to look at this.  Vote for Di-Fi.

The next race important for me is whom is going to represent the 24th Congressional District where I live.  We have longtime Democrat Salud Carbajal going up against small businessman-rancher and all-around good guy, Justin Fareed.  The choice is clear, we need a Republican representing our district just as Bakersfield where our blog is located must retain House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy who is going up against far-left Democrat Tatiana Matta in the 23rd District.

In the 37th Assembly District here in California, we are going to vote for David L. Norrdin to unseat Democrat S. Monique Limón while in neighboring Bakersfield, my colleagues who live there say Vince Fong is the choice over Democrat Nick Nicita (34th Assembly District).

In the 19th State Senate District, we are going up against longtime politician, Democrat Hannah-Beth Jackson but sadly, she is not up for re-election this cycle.  However, over in the 16th State Senate District where the blog is located, Republican Shannon Grove is running against Democrat Ruth Musser-Lopez for the open seat there.  Friends of the blog say that Grove is a favorite.

As for the judicial nominations, here they are in a nutshell: For associate justice of the California Supreme Court:

  1. Associate Justice Carol A. Corrigan: YES, she is conservative.
  2. Associate Justice Leondra R. Kruger: NO, she is a liberal.

For associate justice, court of appeal, Fifth Appellate District:

  1. Associate Justice Donald R. Franson, Jr.: NO, he is a liberal.
  2. Associate Justice Thomas Desantos: NO, he is a liberal.
  3. Associate Justice Charles S. Poochigian: YES, he is a conservative.
  4. Associate Justice Kathleen A. Meehan: NO, she is a liberal.
  5. Associate Justice Mark W. Snauffer: NO, he is a liberal.
  6. Associate Justice Bruce Smith: NO, he is a liberal.

Finally, Marshall Tuck for State Superintendent of Public Instruction over unionist Tony K. Thurmond.

We will conclude tomorrow with the ballot propositions.  Make sure you are here.

Back in the day, I was working at a hotel in Bakersfield, California, down on Union Avenue where I met Stinkbug.  It was still nice at the time, and the area was still the original “restaurant row” of the city.  Now, I am over 70 years old and work over in Santa Barbara, CA, as a food and beverage director for a fine-dining country club.  The pictures you see here of me are facsimiles created by up-and-coming Bakersfield, California, street artist, the famed Simone.  Clever work, dude, excellent work.

WE CONTINUE PRESENTING THE MUSIC OF THE AWE-INSPIRING BRITISH ROCK BAND, WISHBONE ASH:

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 03, 2018

Wishbone Ash released its next effort, “Locked In,” on March 13, 1976, without as much acclaim as its previous effort, “There’s the Rub.”  The lineup remained the same, featuring Martin Turner (bass/vocals), Laurie Wisefield (guitars/vocals), Andy Powell (guitars/vocals), and Steve Upton (drums) but the mood had gone somewhat softer because the producer did not want the band to over-perform in the studio.  The major complaints with the Ash is that the intensity levels vary from album to album, some being much more fierier and others more relaxed.  Still, this is a must-own effort, one we invite everyone to own, simply by using the link we provide you here.   Once you do, the magic of the Internet will whisk you to the greatest online marketplace in the world, Amazon.com where you can get it in the format, the condition, and the price that works best for you- you will be glad you did.

FEATURED ALBUM OF THE DAY:

On October 19, 1990, the Byrds released their next ‘best of’ compilation, “The Byrds (Box Set).”  This effort, one that every fan of the era and of the band should own, contains four discs jam-packed with music from the early days throughout various reunions up to 1990.  This is a great introductory effort to one of the all-time greatest bands of the 1960s-1970s as well as a blast from the past for veteran listeners.  Please, use the link we provide you so you can redirect your browser to Amazon.com and once there, pick it up in the format, the condition, and the price that works best for you.

We continue offering CDs by the great New York band, the Velvet Underground. The band’s sixth album, “Andy Warhol’s Velvet Underground featuring Nico” came out in 1971 and was the band’s first compilation album put together by former manager, Andy Warhol.  There are two CDs here chock full of great music containing music from the first three albums.  When the band released “Loaded,” Andy Warhol abandoned the band or so it would seem and from there, the group underwent rapid changes, which resulted in its dissolution.  However, if you want to get in the ground floor, use our link so you can get it in the format, the condition, and the price that is right for you.   Buy this CD by visiting Amazon.com using the link posted above for your shopping convenience and once there, get it in the format, the condition, and the price that is right for you—you will be glad you did.
