#PF001.2q Ca Ira #43 05-08-2020 (400)

Ever the musical innovator, Roger Waters’ next solo effort was an opera, “Ca Ira,” aka “It’ll be Fine,” which came out on October 04, 2005. The subject material revolved around the early parts of the notorious and extremely bloody French Revolution. Say what you will about an ever-evolving artist dipping his toe into opera music, this is a stunner although narrative parts tend to overshadow the musical endeavor but hey, it is what it is. We certainly hope that you will seek this stunner out and consider adding it to your growing collection of nothing but the finest in music- you will be so glad you did, undoubtedly! We thank you!

  57. 2017: To the delight of environmentalists everywhere, the U.S. Geological Service releases a study claiming that some glaciers in Montana have receded by 85-percent over the past half-century. No wonder imbeciles such as Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez believe the world is coming to an end soon.  Sadly, the Sun is the sole driver of all climatic changes throughout the entire Solar System.  Conversation and fighting pollution is indeed important but the Earth- and other planets- have all gone through periods of climate change throughout the history of said Solar system. Meanwhile, to the ‘horror’ of Democrats, President Donald J. Trump shares classified intelligence regarding an ISIS attack coming soon against Russia with Russian Ambassador Sergey Ivanovich Kislyak and Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in the Oval Office.  (Hence, Trump-Russia ‘collusion’).
  58. 2018: Following Iran firing missiles into Israel’s Golan Heights from Syria, the IDF lights up Iranian targets in Syria with 70 missiles, blowing up numerous installations and other military infrastructure. Of course, Iran claims Israel started the fight.
  59. 2019: The United States raises tariffs on $250 billion of Chinese imports, a jump of 25-percent, following the collapse of trade talks between the United States and the communist nation. Meanwhile, Uber becomes a publicly traded company on the New York Stock Exchange on this date.
  60. 2020: COVID-19 continues causing problems for the nations of the world what with 4,097,158 confirmed cases, 282,495 confirmed deaths, and 1,402,882 confirmed recoveries. In the United States, we have 1,362,715 confirmed cases, 80,562 confirmed deaths, and 208,344 confirmed recoveries which is good, the recoveries that is. Breaking down the three states in which the American Institute of Culinary Politics-the Elemental News of the Day has chef-authors, California comes first. In the Golden State, there are 66,773 confirmed cases and 2,745 confirmed deaths but no mention of recoveries. In Hawaii, we have 732 confirmed cases, 17 confirmed deaths, and 561 confirmed recoveries. In Washington state, there are 16,891 confirmed cases and 931 confirmed deaths but like California, there is no mention of confirmed recoveries.

#PF001.1u Dance Songs #21 04-20-2020 (400)

The record business being what it is, Pink Floyd released a ‘best of’ compilation effort that was truly an amalgam of re-recorded tunes and alternate versions of tunes from preceding albums.  “A Collection of Great Dance Songs” came out on November 23, 1981 and fills a gap in the band’s career as the end of the original lineup was coming soon due to exhaustion, anger with one another, lack of money even though tours were big-sellers and albums even more so.  We hope you will seek this one out and consider adding it to your growing collection of nothing but the absolute best in rock music; you can thank us later.

#PF001.1c Tonite lets all make Love in London #3 06-28-2015 (400)

Although not specifically a ‘Pink Floyd album,’ “Tonight Let’s All Make love in London” is a soundtrack for the movie of the same name.  It came out on July 12, 1968 and features the music of ‘swinging London’ of the 1960s of which, Pink Floyd is but a part.  Mostly a collector’s item today, it’s an oddity which is why we still love it and as so-called completists, we want to own every credible release of a rock band because only in that way can we appreciate the entire catalog.  Please seek this delightful effort out by using whatever site you do for nothing but the absolute best in rock music.  You will be glad you did.

2019: Before Congress, one of the worst spectacles during the Trump administration occurs as the president’s former lawyer and so-called ‘fixer,’ Michael Cohen, testifies, sobbing and crying about his time working for Mr. Trump, calling him a ‘con man’ and a ‘cheat’ while also labeling him a ‘racist.’ Behind him sits a smiling Lanny Davis, the famed Clinton crook and Cohen’s personal lawyer.  Shortly after this farce, Mr. Cohen reported to federal prison to serve a lengthy term.

Just the Facts: Towards the end of the month, the Democrats begin the onerous process of winnowing their over-abundant field of candidates in the first debate, to be held on NBC

Although DNC Chairman Tom Perez celebrates the number of candidates, he has to feel like the ringmaster at a three-ring circus. It is going to be ugly as the requirements for the successive debates will continue growing tighter and tighter. The amount of political bloodshed will be astounding, to say the least.

Today, I share with you the 2020 Democratic Party’s primary debate schedule and the candidates…

Just the Facts: the Green Movement is custom-made for disgruntled, former communists seeking to dominate the world

What people must accept, whether they want to or not, is that the Climate Change-Global Warming-and-now-Extreme Weather are terms for what goes on all the time: the climate is always in a state of flux, thanks to solar winds and sunspots. We can control solar ‘belches’ or ‘farts;’ all we can do is to conserve resources, fight pollution, and find new ways by which, we can keep our planet clean and healthy.

SPRING SESSION 2019

BLOG POST #3,113 AT THE AICP-END

544 DAYS UNTIL ELECTION DAY 2020

The Environmentalist Movement is custom-made for frustrated communists…

Bakersfield, CA, 05-10-2019 Friday:  After we posted the article this past Tuesday regarding what is occurring far above us in the skies over Kern County, i.e., the Chem Trails of unknown origin, people have sent us emails saying it sure does appear to be some sort of scientific experimentation.  All we can say is that it almost never stops- although short breaks do occur- and with temperatures being 20 degrees or more cooler, it seems to be all the proof one would require to back a theory that something very peculiar is going on and that we are the guinea pigs.

The question is, after all the heinous things our government has done to unsuspecting Americans before, why would our leaders think that it would be able to do something such as this again without giving us a head’s up?  There is no telling what sort of chemicals scientists might be inseminating into the upper atmosphere but if they are driving temperatures DOWN by 20-plus degrees or more, they sure as heck cannot be good.  Right?

We live in a state in which, our liberal Democrat leaders are famed climate change warriors but we seriously doubt that the Smiler Governor Gavin Newsom has the wherewithal to order something such as this to occur.  He does not have the extra cash lying about what with the state employees’ retirement funds almost always teetering on the brink of insolvency as well as the crumbling high speed rail system that although broke, seems to continue moving forward.  That leaves but one culprit and that would be the federal government.

If that was all we were fighting to do, it would be okay.  However, disgruntled and homeless communists had to find a place they could go once the Soviet Union collapsed and the Second World spiraled off into the ‘ozone.’

The communists thrashed about like fish dying on a water-starved beach, searching for some way by which, they could find purpose anew.  When they flopped across the environmentalist movement, light bulbs burst forth over their heads.  What better way to institute global communism than by enlisting everyone alive on the planet in a global crusade to save the planet from extinction?  Made to order, baby!

Instead of wailing about ‘class’ and ‘redistribution schemes’ to punish the haves, if we tell the world the planet is going to die in 40-50 years if we do not cleave together and embark on a difficult but necessary drive to save the Earth, then we are condemning our children and their children (and even their children) to incineration as the planet overheats and everyone dies… a very painful death.

The environmentalist movement, aka Green Movement, is custom-made for frustrated communists.  It allows them to implement all manner of top-heavy, “1984”-style rules and regulations atop the people.  It allows them to enlist the children and their children in a campaign of attacking, criticizing, and even fingering their parents for ideas deemed contrary to saving the planet.

This has been going on now since the Berlin Wall came tumbling down, since the flag of the Soviet Union came down its flagpole for the final time and a somewhat free Russia reappeared in its place.  One-by-one and then ten-by-ten and then even more communists redistributed themselves to the West and insinuated themselves into various governments and into the United Nations all for the express purpose of subjugating the Free World.

As in most communist countries, the government could care less about its people.  Josef Stalin, the head of the USSR from the 1920s into the 1950s had his thug Beria test their nation’s first nuclear weapons in the backwoods of Kazakhstan without a care for what would happen to the population there.

In North Korea, Kim Jong-Un does the same thing his father and grandfather did: use the people as a resource and not as an asset.  Starvation from mismanagement, from theft, and from a dictatorial mindset that could care less about what happens to generations of his people is the same sort of power left-wing environmentalists would love to see here.  After all, for the majority to live (so they say) some will have to die.

It is not a stretch to think that our government would not be using human beings as test subjects as they have done it numerous times before.  For a reminder, read my Tuesday post.  We know that something is occurring in the skies over our county and above Bakersfield, the county seat, because what one witnesses here, well, you see it nowhere else.

For those of us who are in our seventies or older, we may not pay a price for this experimentation but for those younger and for their children, who knows what is going to happen to their DNA thanks to the contamination going on above us.  Respiratory diseases are already rampant here so what more is to come?

I guess we will find out.

See you tomorrow.

On August 17, 1973, the James Gang released another ‘best of’ compilation, this one featuring the music of the Joe Walsh era exclusively.  “Best of Featuring Joe Walsh,” contained the big, the medium, and the smaller cuts that defined the group and made it one of the powerhouse bands of its time.  Please, seek this one out and add it your ever-growing collection so you can enjoy it for years to come- you will be glad you did.

Rod Stewart released his next solo effort on October 10, 2010, “Fly Me to the Moon: the Great American Songbook V.”  Unlike Mick Jagger, Rod Stewart began to accept the fact that he was no longer a young rocker and since he did covers of a vast number of other people’s songs, there was no reason not to continue onward in the easy-listening genre of music.  As always, he has a sterling cast of musicians joining him and the album sold very well, becoming the fifth installment of a five-album series.  Please, seek it out wherever you seek out the best in rock-and-roll music- you will be glad you did.

Just the Facts: if elected politicians fail to fulfill their oaths to defend the Constitution by securing our borders, in 6-8 years, no one is going to recognize the country in which, they grew up

California is becoming a place where- if things continue going the way they are- will no longer be like the place in which, we grew up. When one goes to the mall or to the shopping centers, the music pouring out of overhead speakers now sounds like mariachis on acid, going at a fever pitch, crazy music that while it’s enjoyable does not sound like what we grew up listening to. In fact, nothing remotely resembles the city, the county, or the state where we grew up as kids. That world is long gone.

SPRING SESSION 2019

BLOG POST #3,095 AT THE AICP-END

562 DAYS UNTIL ELECTION DAY 2020

TODAY IS MY 100th BLOG POST AT THE AICP-END BLOG

My hope is that Democrats and Republicans can set their differences aside and do what is right for the American people and not for the people of Central America…

Visalia, CA, 04-22-2019 Monday: Every time I come in to do my next week, I always hope that I will have the privilege of telling you that California FINALLY has a Constitution Party as do many other states.  Once again, I am overwhelmed with the displeasure of telling you that, “NOPE, no Constitution Party yet, which means I have to vote as a “No Party Preference” voter so I can vote my heart and soul for whomever I believe is going to work on behalf of the people of the country in general and the people of California in particular.”

Six months ago, I thought the immigration situation was bad but man, what we are now seeing is horribly bad.  As they say, we are on track to see 100,000 people heading to the border, falling across it, finding the first Border Patrol agent they can, dropping to their knees, kissing their shoes, and begging for political asylum.

Yet, the Democrats scoff there is a crisis.  They do this because they hate Donald Trump and will stand against anything he seeks to do or his base desires him to do.  The liberals would rather see our nation collapse beneath the ponderous weight of the asylum-seekers than do the right thing, set aside their animus for Mr. Trump, and finding some joint way by which, they could solve this existential problem.

Unfortunately, for the common folks, our elected leaders do not seem to care.  David Valadao represented us for six years but in the Tuesday Election Day Massacre of 2018, he lost to carpetbagger T.J. Cox.

Granted, Congressman Valadao was not a strong incumbent because, like Mia Love of Utah, he kept President Trump at arm’s length but neither did we expect him to go down in flames, which he did although he was among the last to lose.  As the absentee votes and provisional ballots underwent counting and recounting, lo and behold, Cox became our new representative.

Although Congressman Cox seems like a moderate blue dog type Democrat- because remember- this is a big agricultural area in a once-BIG AG state, and he does his best to represent us and our interests.

However, none on the left side of the aisle can go against the wishes of the speaker of the House nor can they risk antagonizing the new, far-left-left-left wing of the party as represented by the woman my colleagues have labeled the “Baby Evita,” Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

My hope is that now that the Mueller investigation into Trump-Russia collusion has ended, both parties will be able to unearth a way to set aside their differences and work on finding a fix for the immigration situation.  What I do know is that if they fail to do so, within the next six-to-eight years or so, what our country is going to resemble will be like nothing any of us know or could ever have anticipated.

To voice opinions such as these is to risk being labeled a ‘racist,’ the new one-size-fits-all term the left uses to silence anyone who steps or gets out of line.  I do not consider myself as such nor does anyone in the circle of my family, friends, employees, or the community but the larger left will still label me as such for stating the obvious.

We must urge our lawmakers to do the right thing and that is to find a way to set aside differences and fulfill the oaths that all of you took to defend the Constitution from all enemies, both foreign and domestic.  This does not mean that we must resort to using lethal means as some of my colleagues have suggested to stop the inflow of a large part of Central America and from elsewhere but neither do we have to stand aside and allow the de facto invasion to proceed.

We still have some power remaining to us so let us use it by contacting our representatives and senators and letting them know how we feel and how we intend to vote.  Donald Trump might not be the sort of president that preceded him but right now, he is all we have willing to do whatever is required to protect the people of our country.

That is going to do it for today; we are still recovering from the Easter holiday, one that was very exciting, profitable, and fun.  We always give big to our church as that is our way to share our blessings with those in need.  Right now, there are so many in need that all we can do is to do our best to aid them.

Thanks for joining me today; we will meet again tomorrow, same time, same place and folks, make sure if you cannot read our blog at Google Blogger that you join us over at WordPress.  See you tomorrow.

The above cartoonish caricature of me by Bakersfield, California, by up-and-coming street artist, Simone, resembles me back in the 1980’s when I was an Executive Sous Chef at a hotel in Monterey, California, 10-20 years later.  I originally came from Salinas, California, spent time in Fresno and Bakersfield, and currently am working at a fine-dining restaurant in Visalia, California.  I began cooking in 1967 when I apprenticed under a top chef working in the Napa Valley.

Chef James “JT” Tobiason writes from Visalia, California.

Chef James “JT” Tobiason is a member of the CONSTITUTION PARTY OF THE UNITED STATES but due to it being somewhat nonexistent in California, votes for either the GOP or the Libertarian candidates.

WE SUPPORT THE NATIONAL RIFLE ASSOCIATION

FEATURED ALBUM OF THE DAY:

Peter Gabriel released his next solo effort, “Peter Gabriel” aka “Melt” due to the cover photo depiction of the artist’s face melting, on May 23, 1980.  Once again, he brought together a who’s who of rock musicians including Robert Fripp, Paul Weller, David Rhodes, and Dave Gregory (guitars), John Giblin (bass), Jerry Marotta and Phil Collins (drums), plus other musicians and vocalists.  This is a stunningly good album and well worth seeking out at your favorite site for music.  We know you will enjoy it and urge everyone to seek it out, give it a listen, and then add it to your collection.

Another posthumous release by Spirit came out on September 07, 2007: “Salvation: the Spirit of ‘74.”  Like all great recording artists, Randy California had a home studio and he recorded mountains of material.  Following his untimely death off the coastline of his Moloka’i home, his family continued finding more and more material, 56 tunes of which, are here on this 3-disc set.  This album fills in a gap when Spirit was off again, on again, off again, and then back on again.  Great live cuts featuring California and stepdad Cassidy along with Mark Andes, Barry Keene, and occasionally John Locke.  Some are polished and ready to go while others are works in progress.  You take the good with the not so good; ah, well, c’ est la vie.  Please seek this album out wherever you shop for nothing but the best in rock-and-roll music.  You will be glad you did.

Ian McLagan released his next effort, “Here Comes Trouble,” on August 12, 2005, an album that featured his first album in its entirety in conjunction with some other material, which makes this somewhat of a best of effort.  The cast of musicians is massive, which makes this a wonderful glimpse into a bygone time.  McLagan writes witty songs and imbues them with his romanticism and sentimentality along with an uncanny ability to rock and roll in the best English tradition.  This album is delightful and we hope that every reader of the blogs will seek this album out by visiting your favorite site for music.
