Identity politics and the politics of personal destruction are not helping our nation heal its wounds but rather is setting it back by 50-100 years

BLOG POST #2,884 AT THE AICP-END

FORTY-SIX DAYS UNTIL ELECTION DAY 2018

When then-candidate Donald Trump came down the escalator and talked about Mexican illegal alien criminals, I never thought he was talking about me or my loved ones…

Shafter, CA, 09-23-2018 Sunday¡Buenos días, amigos míos, bienvenidos al mejor blog dirigido por profesionales del Servicio de alimentos en Internet!   For my English-speaking friends, welcome to the blog, the best place we know of where those of us who labor in the world of professional food service have a voice.  Even though mine almost went silent earlier in the week, I am sorry for any offense I may have offered anyone out there among the readership.  I will do my best to refrain from allowing the intensity of the day to cause me to say hateful things as that is not the sort of person I am or how I wish to be.  Again, my thanks go to Google.

I want to address something in my final post of the year (or so it appears) and that is my fear of the nation reverting to a time when inequality reigned supreme and segregation was the rule of the day.

Our country has a checkered history when it comes to relations regarding race and ethnicity, we began in a hole with indentured servitude and slavery.  We fought a major war to end said slavery and then for another century, fought to provide civil rights to all Americans no matter their skin color, their nation of origin, or their religion, even their sexual preferences.

Black Americans, Native Americans, Hispanic Americans, Asian Americans and numerous other lesser-and-sub-groups fought to achieve equality with the mainstream.  Jews, Muslims, Catholics, many groups found the apparatuses of government arrayed against them so they had to work long and they had to work hard and to rise to a higher level than the one from which, they sought equality.

Just when we thought we were on the precipice of equality, we found the goalposts being moved backwards in time, only this time, the segregation movement was against white people as black and Latino liberals and apparent self-hating white liberals sought to poison a generation or two with cries of “white privilege” and “racism” to cause them to go silent.

Like millions of you, I saw the election of Barack Obama in 2008 as an event the likes of which, the world had never seen.  We finally got across the finish line with our first non-white president.  Instead of working to heal the last lingering wounds of racism, he instead exacerbated them by inserting himself and his administration into every police shooting of a black victim.

We went from having hope for the future to dreading its onrushing freight train-like status of increased racism, reverse segregation, and strife between the races.

We hear liberal pundits on TV slamming white people for this and that offense.  As a light-skinned Latino with blood dating back to the time of the conquistadors, the modern crop of indoctrinated “Animal Farm” George Orwell losers now seek to reimpose lines between the races out of some misguided attempt at ‘payback.’

Friends, no one lives today who ever owned slaves unless he or she immigrated here from a place where slavery still flourishes such as Africa, parts of Asia, the Middle East, and even Latin America so how can we exact ‘payback’ from those who have nothing to do with what happened to our ancestors.

Heck, many Latinos see me more as an oppressor because of my long Spanish bloodline than they do as a fellow Hispanic so I suffer from some of the blowback of the modern leftist, liberal era.  This is not right and to speak about it takes guts but something must happen or we will lose our country.

I would urge liberal politicians and pundits to shut up about ‘white people this’ and ‘white people that.’  Shut up about ‘white privilege’ and all stop with the ‘old white people this’ and the ‘old white people that.’  You are not making things better scoring your cheap political shots, you are causing the nation irreparable damage.

We know the young people in college and at universities are damaged by the indoctrination they have experienced from day number one in grade school.  We know the current generation going through grammar school are learning all sorts of false information about a vast variety of things, whether about race or sexual preference and all the attendant things accompanying those ideas.

We need now more than ever to pull our country together and to heal the divisions.  Bashing President Trump every day for being ‘racist’ makes no sense to me as I have yet to see the proof.  I never heard that Donald Trump was a ‘racist’ prior to him running for and winning the presidency.  What he did was an amazing feat and I hope he continues keeping his promises.

Amigos, let us return to fighting over issues but do it with dignity and with class.  Let us not go after one another based upon the flawed ‘science’ of ‘identity politics.’  If we continue doing this, we are going to damage the fabric of the nation as all the successful multi-racial-and-ethnic marriages and relationships with or without kids and grandkids will begin to rip apart.  This is not right.

I hope someone out there is listening to me.  Let’s work together instead of against one another.  I will see you next time- Yo veré la próxima vez.

Muchas gracias, buen amigos!

As have the rest of my colleagues, local Bakersfield street artist, Simone, created these portraits of me that you will see over successive days here at the blog.  I guess Simone did ‘okay’ in capturing my likeness; I guess it could have been worse.  I was a young cook back in the early 1960’s when I commenced my culinary career.  I served underneath a Master Chef for many years before striking out on my own.  I went up the coast of the Western United States and Canada, working all the way, until I made it to Alaska.  From there, I moved to Hawaii for a couple of years (1994-1997) before I returned to Washington State and it was there that I met Stinkbug.

FALL SESSION 2018

BLOG POST #2,883 AT THE AICP-END

FORTY-SEVEN DAYS UNTIL ELECTION DAY 2018

I offer an apology to the AICP-END Blog community for whatever I might have said that caused my account to suffer a temporary suspension

Shafter, CA, 09-22-2018 Saturday:  Amigos, one of the many problems that our modern world suffers from is rampant overuse of freedom of speech online.  We say all manner of things to people who say all manner of things back to us and then some.  Sometimes, it is difficult to detect whether one’s comments are flippant or whether they are deadly serious such as someone saying they are going to do something extremely violent such as come and put a bullet through your head.

This past Wednesday, I found my Google Plus account suspended.  I was not sure what exactly it was I said or to whom I caused offense.  With my account reduced to a minimal presence, I could not plumb the depths seeking a specific comment that hurt someone’s feelings or rankled the skin on the back of their neck so I submitted an apology to the good folks who run Google Blogger who allow us to share our thoughts online with our friends around the globe.

The major issue of the day is the Supreme Court nomination of Judge Kavanaugh, to become an assistant justice on the nation’s highest court, a job of lifetime tenure unless of course, a sitting justice does something so egregiously disqualifying as to earn a rare impeachment and removal from the bench.

People on both sides of the fence are highly upset.  The rhetoric is overheated and the female senators are doing what they always seem to do and that is attacking the men.  Other women such as Joy Behar, perhaps among the ugliest and most ignorant woman I have ever seen or heard, toss in the qualifier of race and age, “OLD WHITE MEN sitting in judgement of a delicate female.”

Now, I made an error of saying that I thought that perhaps the Kavanaugh Accuser is the one in the wrong here.  I believe Judge Brett Kavanaugh when he says he ‘knows nothing about the accusations being made by his accuser.’

Men in positions of prominence and power such as employers understand that more often than not- especially as our power and prominence grows– women and occasionally men are going to hit on us and when rebuffed, some of them are willing to go the extra mile at destroying the man who waved off their advances.

I implied that perhaps the Accuser had made the moves on the Judge when the two were in high school in Maryland and that perhaps he was on the straight and narrow and held no interest for her.

Now, this was not to say that the Accuser is a bad person or that her morals were not as lofty as they should be.  It was to say that what interests one person in another might not have interested the future judge in her.

As I said, some people take any perceived slight to heart and keep it there.  They could ruminate and ruminate over the ‘perceived slight’ for years to come and then seal it away in the dark recesses of their mind until it pops out in a therapy session or in a nightmare years, even decades later and then it is as fresh as it was or even worse because of the passage of time and the sudden reappearance of the hurt.

Now, I am a Democrat, albeit an OLD-TIME BLUE DOG DEMOCRAT.  As a business owner and an employer, as a family man with kids and grandkids, I have a position of prominence within my community and friends from Alaska to Hawaii, from Canada to California, and all along the West Coast and then some.

I find the actions of current Democrat leaders appalling.  I find the fact that Senator Dianne Feinstein held onto this ‘letter’ from the Accuser all throughout her interviews with Judge Kavanaugh and then through the hearings highly suspect.  I contend she either held them as one final volley in case they could not stop his nomination from going through or because she feared the stability and the veracity of the Accuser.

Either way, she put them out there when the confirmation battle was OVER.  I view this as suspect, as dirty politics, and as a Latino man, I am less inclined to believe the words of the Accuser NOW than I would have had the letter come out at the very start of the process.

We cannot hammer the Republicans for being dubious about the Accuser.  I am suspicious.  I think that if I were the GOP and were faced with these conspicuously arrogant stall tactics that if my deadline came and went or the Accuser and her allies continue moving the goalposts, I would hold the vote for the Judge and be done with it.

Democrats should not fear someone such as Judge Kavanaugh being on the bench; it is clear through his words and through his writings that he holds the law in high regard and will interpret cases based on the Constitution and only that document and will not legislate from the bench.

The only thing the Dems fear is the abolition of abortion but that is highly doubtful that it will ever occur.  However, I would love to see it restricted to the first trimester of a woman’s pregnancy because this late-term abortion genocide is little more than a house of horrors and should stop.

Thanks for being with me today, mis amigos, we will conclude our week tomorrow and make sure if you wish to read the unadulterated text because our hosts ghost us, make sure you use the links that will redirect you to our WordPress site as there and only there, you can get the full text of each post sans all the bells and whistles one finds here.

Dems, stop with the delay tactics and accept that Kavanaugh is going through as if you do not, the losses our party is going to suffer will be incalculable due to your stupidity on this and other issues such as the Mueller investigation.

I hope I offended NO one today.  Thanks, Google for allowing my voice to be heard- I owe you.

Muchas gracias, buen amigos!

SUMMER SESSION 2018

BLOG POST #2,882 AT THE AICP-END

FORTY-EIGHT DAYS UNTIL ELECTION DAY 2018

On Tuesday, Democrats lost a state Senate seat in Texas, one they held for 139 years- blue wave in November?  Nope.

Shafter, CA, 09-21-2018 Friday: You know, mis amigos, we have been listening to the leadership of our party telling us this ‘humongous blue wave is rolling our way and that when it hits the docks, it is going to swamp everyone 100 miles inland or so.’  While I view this as wishful thinking and self-hypnosis, we are beginning to see evidence occurring of just the opposite and there are important reasons as to WHY this is so.

On Tuesday, down in Texas, a Republican by the name of Pete Flores, a retired game warden, ran against an entrenched Democrat, former state U.S. Congressman Pete Gallego for a state senate seat in Senate District 19.  What makes this win by Mr. Flores so remarkable and a glimpse of the future is that the Democrats have held this seat for 139 years by a comfortable win of 53-47-percent of the ballots cast: 44,487.

What is even more astounding is that Hillary Clinton carried this minority-majority district by 12 points back in 2016 so all the King Kong-like chest-thumping and bellowing by the Democratic faithful is merely a smoke screen as the leadership knows deep down in its collective hearts that trouble is indeed on the way in November.

I must say, this is a dire sign for the Democratic Party’s leaders.  I am talking about people like Tom Perez, Hillary Clinton- a failed two-time candidate who NEVER seems to go away, Barack Obama, now out there thumping his chest like the aforementioned King Kong, Keith “Beats his Women” Ellison (how come the Dems do not care about Karen Monahan?), Chuck Schumer, the decrepit and old Nancy Pelosi, and others of their ilk.

Under the leadership of these people, our party has fallen on hard times.  We must resort to a yellowing playbook of defamation, insults, innuendo, and lies to stop judicial nominees or to fight against popularly-elected presidents.  To say this is to invite cries of being a ‘Russian bot’ or an “Internet troll,” or any of a varying selection of foul language and death threats.

Let me say this to the little storm troopers out there online and in the streets: YOU are the ones out of touch and YOU are the ones doing Vladimir Putin’s business, not those of us who have sincere concerns and grave fears over the direction usurpers such as Bernie Sanders, Barack Obama, and Mazie Hirono seek to take it.

Let me also add that there are others out there like that national embarrassment, uh, – vergüenza nacional– Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.  That girl is such a pathetic loser that for fear of her becoming the next poster child alongside Nancy Pelosi and Maxine Waters, DNC leadership have slipped a dog muzzle over her bow-wow-wow face, una pequeña perra.

When I have had the misfortune of seeing her speak on TV, I am always shocked at the level (or the depth) of her intelligence as someone with a college degree in economics sounds more like Napoleon and Snowball from George Orwell’s “Animal Farm.”  Stupid is as stupid does, right?

Someone else I mentioned whom I find to be an embarrassment is Congresswoman Maxine Waters.

I get it, the ultra-far-left wing of our party is in a full-court press, they are reaching out to the younger generations, the ones indoctrinated by our failed system of education so they can launch a mass uprising and establish an authoritarian, Marxist-style government that has ‘worked so well’ around the world, every place leftists have tried it.

The only thing that ever works in leftist coups and takeovers is that ‘enemies of the people’ find themselves proscribed, beaten, murdered, robbed, raped, and/or sent to reeducation camps so they can become ‘productive members of society’ once again.

We saw this in France during the French Revolution and again in 1917 in the Bolshevik Revolution.  We have seen it occur throughout many parts of Africa and Asia following the end of colonialism just as we have witnessed it in Latin America, most notably in Cuba and Venezuela.  We also saw it in Cambodia in the Killing Fields.

Socialism never works.  Communism never works.  Fascism never works.  The only thing that does work is the number of deaths from either executions, slave labor, or through want and neglect goes up- dramatically up to the point that it beggars the mind such as what we witnessed in Stalin’s Russia and in Mao’s China.

I am a business owner, an employer, a tireless worker, and a dedicated family man.  Through self-enlightenment and education, through observation and through a long life, I recognize that socialism and communism never works that capitalism is the only way forward and that the job of government is to merely level the playing field so more can participate and move up the economic ladder of success.

In closing, whether or not one likes Donald Trump, one must love his successes, which is why I am predicting NOW that the blue wave is not going to materialize in November but a crushing, pounding red one is.  People are tired of the same old crap, we want our country back the way it was, the one that gave us the greatest wealth ever seen before on this planet.

What occurred in Texas was not a fluke.  What occurred in Texas is going to occur across the nation on November 06, 2018, which is why the media has remained extremely silent on the results of this unheralded special election in DEEP RED Texas.  ¡Escuchame pindejos!

National sanity demands that we have ONE system of justice for all and ONE president at a time presiding over ONE foreign policy

One system of justice in America for all, one president at a time, and one foreign policy; anyone interfering with any of this should pay a legal price for harming the nation.

FORTY-NINE DAYS UNTIL ELECTION DAY 2018

Enough with two (or more) systems of justice in the United States

Shafter, CA, 09-20-2018 Thursday:  Amigos, many people believe that we have two systems of justice in the country now.  I guess that perhaps my assertion is true but I would also suggest that there is more than two as every member of a racial or ethnic minority that at one time or another was ‘unpopular’ understands that standing before a judge and facing a jury of one’s peers is little better than a crapshoot.

Black Americans, Latinos, Asians, Native Americans for sure, and other groups like Muslims and Hindus have faced ostracization and discrimination but each group has also worked hard at persevering in a sometimes problematic culture.

We have another system of justice that I believe many are now awakening to, one in which, the ruling class- i.e. the elected politicians, their support staffs, and the Deep State swamp dwellers all seem to receive one form of justice while the rest of us who lack the necessary financial means with which to influence them receive quite another.

The 2016 Presidential Election was a test of wills, a battle of viewpoints, and a directional one as we made determinations as to which way the American people wanted the country to go.

Many, like me, became dispirited by the eight years of Barack Obama, although we supported him because we thought he was ‘one of us’ when in fact, he was ‘one of them,’ a member of the Deep State.

All the things he said he would do, few of them occurred although I see all manner of propaganda online claiming he worked ‘economic miracles’ and that he did all of these other things that seemingly never took root or became an economic disaster and national embarrassment like Obamacare.

To see him out there attacking the current president is somewhat mortifying.  I would have been outraged had former President George W. Bush gone out on the campaign trail attacking President Obama.  When a president leaves office, tradition says that he (or one day, she) leaves office and goes mute.

This does not mean that a former president cannot comment on things; what it does mean is that to go out and lambaste a current president for doing things his (or one day her) way is beyond the pale.

It is something that should not be done just like a former secretary or state should not be conspiring with our enemies, telling them to ‘wait out the current occupant of the White House as when one of ours gets in, things will go back to normal.’

People were angry over the seemingly criminal acts committed by the Iranians against the American people when Barack Obama was in the White House.  I am talking about the hostages of ours they held without having broken a single Iranian law.

Moreover, I am sharing my views on the outrageous behavior the Iranian Revolutionary Guard exhibited when they captured our two patrol boats in the Persian Gulf and took our U.S. Navy sailors hostage for several days.  What was up with that?

Then, there was the matter of the MASSIVE cash payments made to the Iranian mullahs in exchange for MOST of our hostages.

Moreover, one would think that a payment of more than a billion dollars to the Iranians was something we never should have done because those criminal scumbags use that money to finance destabilizing wars around the Middle East and to fund terrorist groups that seek to attack not only the United States but our European allies and Israel.

In my view, the United States has been at war with Iran since the fall of the Shah.  Once the ‘students’ occupied our embassy and kept our people in the dark for 444 days or whatever number it was, we should have known we were at war with the mullah scum and should have acted like it.

Granted, President George W. Bush was somewhat ‘odd’ as he launched what he said was a ‘first strike’ against Saddam Hussein and the Iraqis without solid proof that Saddam possessed the weapons over which, we went to war.  If anything, he should have launched operations against Iran to destabilized those criminals SOBS because if anyone deserved toppling it was them.

Barack Obama coddled America’s enemies, for whatever reason, is unknown.  We voted for Donald Trump for a variety of reasons, the economy and national security among them.

What’s more, we knew that Hillary was going to give us more of the same which was something unpalatable to anyone who had gone through eight years of Obama and eight years of Bush #43 before him.  We wanted out of the incessant wars raging around the world.

The question is, have we gotten out of the wars?  Does not seem like it.  It seems like once they start, they have lives and minds of their own.  However, it is up to us to put pressure on our leaders to stop these unnecessary wars.

As for Barack Obama and his ‘two-cents,’ I wish he would go mum- Desearía que cerrara la boca – and stop attacking the president.  There is enough partisanship in the country now without him trying to relive his ‘greatest hits’ which were not all that great.

As for John F. Kerry, the man conducting shadow diplomacy around the world on behalf of the Deep State: I wish someone would charge him with consorting with foreign enemies and lock that big tonto up.  Enough is enough.  We must have ONE system of justice for everyone as if I did what that puto has done, I would be in jail talking to my wife through heavy-duty glass.

Muchas gracias, buen amigos!  Nos vemos a la manana.

BLOG POST #2,880 AT THE AICP-END

FIFTY DAYS UNTIL ELECTION DAY 2018

My liberal friends are going to hate me but here is the deal: I think Professor Ford is the one who made the advances and that Brett Kavanaugh is the one who rebuffed them leaving her to be angry ever since

Shafter, CA, 09-19-2018 Wednesday: Yesterday, we began a discussion, which is a ‘first’ for me, talking about the Supreme Court and how repellant the process has become in sending someone up for confirmation.  Look, I am a Democrat, we were steaming angry for months, if not a year or longer over how that croaking toad, Mitch McConnell, kept a qualified jurist at arm’s length.  That was not right, I know the GOP was fearful that President Obama would seize upon the opportunity to put a liberal into a conservative seat- in this case, the seat held by Antonin Scalia- because anyone would.

Yet, Judge Merrick Garland was not a far-left liberal, if anything, the man- at least in my view- was somewhat middle of the road, you know, MOR, a moderate who would have ruled on both sides of the fence or so I thought and still believe.

The mistake the Republicans made in the case of Judge Garland is that they failed to give him a hearing, something I believe they now regret because let’s face it- we Democrats may have been more open to considering someone such as Brett Kavanaugh (or even Neil Gorsuch) had our guy been given a fair hearing.

Now, that is not to say that he would have made it onto the Supreme Court as Judge Garland might still have not made it through the full Senate vote.  I expect he would have but that is the crapshoot, the one that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell had no wish to try to chance.  Therefore, he never gave a qualified judicial nominee a shot at the high court.

The accuser of Judge Brett Kavanaugh- Kavanaugh Accuser, a professor at Palo Alto University in California who teaches, interestingly enough clinical psychology, at first wanted to remain anonymous.  She penned her story in a letter to her congressperson who then forwarded it to the ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, our beloved Senator Dianne Feinstein.

Now, Senator Feinstein had this incriminating document back in July so as the hearings began and it was clear that no matter how you look at it or on what side of our great political divide one resides, Judge Brett Kavanaugh is a superb candidate.

We should all want someone who is going to interpret the law as written, determine whether it is constitutional or it is not, and then make a ruling.  We do not need jurists who will examine the legal codes of South Africa, who will scrutinize the legal rulings in a shithole country like Venezuela, or who will see how a U.S. law stands up next to one from Nicaragua or El Salvador like some judges on the court (not mentioning any names) do.

Professor Ford alleges that at some point back in the 1980s when she and Judge Kavanaugh were in high school, he confined her to a room, put his hand over her mouth, attempted- clumsily in her words- to remove her clothing and then do the nasty with her.

She further claims she repressed the memories until a psychological counseling session in 2012 yanked them from the depths of her psyche so she had the notes (hmmm, debatable this one), and so has the proof.

This line of reasoning makes me cringe a bit because it sounds like it is little more than a steaming pile of fresh bull crap.  Sorry, I know we are supposed to believe the victims as if we do not, we are no better than Harvey Weinstein and every other POS destroyed by the #MeToo movement but hey, the story is a bit too much for me- ¿lo entiendes?

Here is what I think: Judge Kavanaugh seems like a nice guy, like he is an extremely conservative, God-fearing man (as we should all be- God-fearing that is).   This story sounds more to me like she was the one who came onto him and when he either backed away and took off or did not take her up on her offer, earned her animosity and perpetual hatred for the rest of eternity.

Every man knows a woman or women like this, women who troll their ‘wares’ to see if we will bite like a catfish going after a hunk of hotdog.  Most men, as they grow older, unless overpowered by their libido and relying on the little blue pill avoid skanks such as this.  The grass is NEVER greener on the other side no matter how much one believes it to be.

Now, I understand that in saying this, some on my side of the aisle- notably the women with hairy armpits and legs who prance around with the pink pussy hats atop their heads (so dignified)- are going to slam me with insults.  Hence why we never mention our businesses because FREE SPEECH can earn one the lifelong enmity of the left, which is never good.

Amigos, if anyone thought the confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh was going to be easy, surrender that thought because we are on the cusp of Clarence Thomas-Anita Hill Round No. 2, updated for the current crop of leftist losers who do not understand that things should NEVER be this way.

Please, make sure you join me over at the secondary blog as we will continue the story over there.  Thanks.

Muchas gracias, buen amigos!
