TODAY IN HISTORY—MARCH 24, 2020

2019: On this Sunday, Attorney-General Bill Barr put out a brief on the 22-month Robert S. Mueller III investigation into Donald Trump, Trump campaign officials, and Vladimir Putin’s Russia by saying that ‘Mueller’s team had found no evidence of collusion between now-President Trump, members of his campaign, his friends and family and Russia nor was there any sign of obstruction.’ In effect, this clears the president and those around him other than those convicted of process crimes during the investigation. The Democrats could not handle the outcome and rushed to the microphones braying like dogs for ALL the evidence and promise to continue the witch hunt into Mr. Trump. The investigation began- many believe- in late 2015 or early 2016 and involved members of the Hillary Clinton team, Barack Obama Justice Department and FBI officials, as well as foreign operatives hired by members of the Obama team to set up candidate- and then- President Trump.

  57. 2018: At the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, the College Football National Championship goes to #4 Alabama who beats #3 Georgia by a final score of 26-23.
  58. 2020: President Trump tells the assembled media that ‘As long as he is president, Iran will NEVER have nuclear weapons.’ The president also urged NATO to take a greater role in the Middle East while encouraging all other signatories of the Iran Nuclear Deal- including Russia and China- to bail out. In addition to that, President Trump promised even more sanctions against the Iranian regime with the desired purpose of having the dictatorship return to the society of nations. Defense and intelligence officials brief Congress on the missile barrage the Iranians shot off in the vicinity of U.S. targets in Iraq. Sparse damage was sustained and no lives were lost although Radio Tehran bragged about 80 or more American casualties. Some Democrats continue labeling President Trump an ‘assassin’ while most Americans believe what he did to be justified.

#TT001.1c Cellophane #3 12-25-2019 (400)

The Troggs returned with No. 3, “Cellophane,” on March 08, 1967, once again, another powerful rocker to be sure. The band featured Reg Presley (vocals), Chris Britton (guitars/backing vocals), Pete Staples (bass/backing vocals), and Ronnie Bond (drums). This band was red hot in its day and the cover tunes mixed with some originals were absolutely amazing. One of the great unsung bands of its time when one considers the Beatles, the Yardbirds, the Stones, the Kinks, the Who, the Hollies, Them, and the Zombies, the Troggs should be right up there with them in that pantheon of rock music greats. Please, use the link and visit Amazon.com so you can pick it up in the format, the condition, and the price that works best for you- you will be glad you did.

TODAY IN HISTORY—JANUARY 06, 2020

2016: Enrique Marquez underwent arraignment for having helped dead terrorist Syed Farook purchase firearms, so the San Bernardino terrorist could avoid a background check. The pair also planned another terrorist event back in 2012 but lost the nerve to carry it out the plot. Marquez cooperated with the FBI, but it probably will do him little good.

One of the rock world’s greatest bands, the Troggs, formed in England in 1964 and catapulted to massive stardom almost overnight. The band’s first album, “From Nowhere,” aka “Wild Thing” in the United States, came out on July 25, 1966. The hit tune, “Wild Thing” was on it and the band went gold. The group consisted of Reg Presley (vocals), Chris Britton (guitars/backing vocals), Pete Staples (bass/backing vocals), and Ronnie Bond (drums). The power of “Wild Thing” was so infectious that the Jimi Hendrix Experience would perform it live in the mid-to-late 1960s blowing the minds of listeners around the world. We hope you will seek this album out by visiting Amazon.com and picking it up there in the format, the condition, and the price that works best for you. You will be glad you did.

Just the Facts: say what you will about Trump, compared to the losers seeking to replace him, I will vote to give him a second term- and I’m a Democrat

Then, we have Kamala Harris, a woman who as California attorney-general sent far more minorities to prison than any equivalent white one who now promotes all manner of social justice and political correctness and who has never met a left-wing fantasy she would be unable to embrace. I seriously do not believe I could punch the voter card for someone as phony and devious as she. She rolls with the flow and will not chart her own course.

SPRING SESSION 2019

BLOG POST #3,066 AT THE AICP-END

591 DAYS UNTIL ELECTION DAY 2020

As bad as Trump might seem to many, most of the Democrats seeking to replace him are…sadly, far worse

Shafter, CA, 03-24-2019 SundayBuenas dias, mis amigos, bienvenidos to the American Institute of Culinary Politics-Elemental News of the Day.  Yesterday, we discussed 2020 candidate, Democrat Andrew Yang, how the man wants to bless every American (and I suspect illegal alien) with a check for one grand a month, no strings attached.  Wow.  Sign me up…yeah, right.  Anybody who falls for ignorance such as this deserves what he or she gets.

Who else is seeking the nomination of the esteemed Democratic Party?  Well, Bernie Sanders is out there singing the same old siren’s song, free this, free that, living in harmony with nature, communing with alien spirits, bringing the joys of Marxism, Leninism, and Stalinism to a town or city near YOU (along with the inevitable GULAGS).

Now, I thought that in order for Senator Sanders to seek the nomination of the Democratic Party, the old guy had to forego his independent status and re-register to be a Democrat as otherwise, how could he be the standard-bearer of the party if he weren’t a member of said party?  Still awaiting word from DNC boss Tom Perez.  Tom?

Before Bernie officially announced he would be a candidate for 2020, we have had some others throw their hats in well before him, relative unknowns such as FORMER Congressman John Delaney of Maryland.  Our blog has bestowed the nickname of “Nobody Knows Me” on the former congressman who seems rather moderate but as far as looks go, bow-wow– he looks like a slope-headed, cave troll.  What woman would vote for this fellow, I haven’t a clue.

Then we have Hawaiian Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard, perhaps among the most solid candidates out there, someone who does not drive quite the same spike of fear into one’s soul as most of the other liberal demagogic candidates do.  A military veteran who served overseas in, I believe, Iraq, she has military experience which is something the Framers of the Constitution should have made mandatory to becoming president of the United States.

As far as Congresswoman Gabbard goes, for all I know- she could be out of the race already as no one I know has heard a peep from her- she would be a superb candidate.  I know Chef Cheryl- (lovingly known around here as “Chef Cherry”), is all agog about her but since she has some anti-LGBTQ statements in the closet of her past, she already is far behind in the running, which is sad, folks, very sad.

Then, we have a fellow Latino in Julian Castro who announced back on January 12 of this year that he was in it to win it.  Oh, boy, I think he expects fellow Latinos to leap into bed with him but if there is one thing I know about my Latino brethren is that when one rises above the rest, the rest pull them back down instead of continuing to push him (or her) up.  Already, the poor guy is hanging around the fringes and like Ms. Gabbard, could find himself out of the race before it even heats up.

Then, we have Kirsten Gillibrand, a senator from New York who were it not for the likes of Bill Clinton looming behind her (along with disgraced sexual degenerate Harvey Weinstein- on trial for rape)- she would not even be a contender.

The righteous, self-appointed defender of women– ‘we believe survivors’- has problems in her own inner circle of female complaints about male co-workers going nowhere or worse, forcing the complainant to leave while the perpetrator continues his work, which demonstrates just what a hypocrite this ‘guardian of ALL women is.’  Besides, I do not know if I could tolerate listening to her high-pitched, squeaky voice anymore than I could have listened to Hillary’s were she to be president.  Sexist?  You bet.

Then, there’s “Mayor Pete” Buttigieg, war veteran, gay fellow, a guy who makes more sense than most of the other lefties running for the presidency.  I do not believe we are ready as a nation to have a gay president any more than we are ready to have a Muslim one.  I think either possibility would diminish our standing in the world, outside Western nations, as the Third World has not proven they are as accepting as well, we are, when it comes to gays.  Still, many people say that Mayor Pete is ‘the one to watch.”

Cory Booker, New Jersey senator, is one whom I do not believe has an opportunity to even be vice president.  Like many of the others, he never saw a far-left proposal he did not immediately adopt (although there is some hem-hawing over banning the Electoral College).  The dude has a reputation for being ‘frisky’ around other men in public bathrooms which is disturbing enough although he tries to quell questions about his sexuality by claiming to date Rosario Dawson who looks rather, uh, manly, herself.

Amy Klobuchar entered the fray not long after the others and she is another one whom I cannot see has a chance at winning anything, even the vice president’s spot just like Elizabeth Warren.  I think both these women can go about busting their liberal chops on the campaign trail but will end up fizzling out as they are both, uh, bitches.

Then, we have a pair of forgettable governors, Jay Inslee and John Hickenlooper.  Neither one is going anywhere just as I think Robert Francis “Hand Jive” O’Rourke won’t.  I mean, a guy who could not beat Ted Cruz, a guy who started eating New Mexican dirt because of its ‘curative qualities,’ and a guy who passed off a green baby turd as an avocado to his wife, we want someone like him in the White House?

In closing, I suspect it will fall to Joe Biden as the once ‘Crazy Joe’ now seems to be the only sane candidate among a pack of losers, bums, and dare I say it, bitches.  I have also heard that Bill Di Blasio might enter the race which is ridiculous but I would love to see ALL these candidates tearing one another apart in the debates.  It is going to be fun and in the end, I most likely will vote for President Trump.

We will meet again later in the year- I will see you then.

As have the rest of my colleagues, local Bakersfield street artist, Simone, created these portraits of me that you will see over successive days here at the blog.  I guess Simone did ‘okay’ in capturing my likeness; I guess it could have been worse.  I was a young cook back in the early 1960’s when I commenced my culinary career.  I served underneath a Master Chef for many years before striking out on my own.  I went up the coast of the Western United States and Canada, working all the way, until I made it to Alaska.  From there, I moved to Hawaii for a couple of years (1994-1997) before I returned to Washington State and it was there that I met Stinkbug.

El Chilote writes from Shafter, California.

El Chilote is a moderate Democrat.

Roger Taylor, released his next studio album on November 11, 2013, “Fun on Earth.”  While some folks dismiss drummers and their solo work, this drummer is an excellent, multi-instrumentalist who is joined by some awesome modern-day musicians plus old friends.  If you want to keep in touch, this is a delightful way in which to do it so please, search for this album, give it a listen, and add it to your collection- you will be glad you did.

Spirit released what was more a Randy California solo album albeit with his stepfather aboard (and a couple of other players), “Future Games: A Magical Kahauna Dream” on April 13, 1976.  The album flowed in a Sci-Fi-psychedelic-Hawaiian way and featured another tune made famous by Jimi Hendrix as well as a variety of other impressive cuts.  We hope you will seek this album out by visiting whatever site you choose to buy your favorite rock music.  You will enjoy it as much as we do.

Peter Frampton released his next effort, the best of, “Peter Frampton Shows the Way,” on May 10, 1998.  This is a comprehensive view of the famed musician’s life, one that will provide some unique insights as from whence he came and to where he is going.  We hope you will seek this sterling effort out wherever you shop for the best in rock music so you can make it an addition to your ongoing, growing collection of nothing but the best in rock music.  You will be glad you did.

Just the Facts: I think if whacked-out Dems could strap on a suicide vest and stand next to President Trump, they would push the switch in a heartbeat blowing all the progress to kingdom come

The Democrats will never honor their commitments to their political opponents nor will they share power with them. If the RINOS abandon President Trump and encourage enough defections among all but the most conservative Republicans, they will in essence be destroying the party. No one will flock to it and no one will support it, it will become the modern-day equivalent of the Whigs.

WINTER SESSION 2019

BLOG POST #2,991 AT THE AICP-END

666 DAYS UNTIL ELECTION DAY 2020

With things going so well in the country, why are there people willing to throw all of it to the wolves?

Century City, CA, 01-08-2019 Tuesday:  I have to say, the economy is doing so well, Los Angeles is booming like it hasn’t in quite a few years, at least not since the LAST GUY was president.  People have been hiring workers across the board, restaurants, hotels, and private clubs, chefs, cooks, dishwashers, pantry workers, bakers, even meat-and-fish-cutters because business is good, extremely good.  Yes, there could be some cutbacks as the New Year has brought employers a higher minimum wage, something politicians never seem to comprehend damages economic upswings, never ever helps them.

Energy costs continue to increase, too, and when you combine higher costs for power with higher wages for workers at the bottom– minimum wage employees- the upswing with become a downturn and the bull markets will become bear markets.  It is not good and yet, I believe this is precisely what the socialist Democrats want because it will harm President Trump.

Right now, I believe the Democrats would strap on suicide vests and blow themselves to kingdom come if they could but stand alongside the president when they pushed the button- BAM!

I could see losers such as Michael Moore, Rosie O’Donnell, hell, maybe even bad boy, Bobby DeNiro volunteering to pull the vest over their shoulders, hold the switch and the dead man’s lever, and then after making a video in which, they bid their loved ones goodbye, head off to do the job that other leftist scumbags would love to do.

Our country seemingly has lost its mind.  All one need do is to watch Fox News (yes, I know, the liberals hate it but so flipping what) to see clip after clip of one big Democrat after another proclaiming their backing of securing the southern border and preventing illegal immigrants from overrunning the country.

Now, however, if it would separate Trump from his base, they would commit national suicide and let the entire Third World to spill across the borders and trash the country.  What is up with this death wish?

The thing that is amazing is that in December, the nation created 312,000 jobs and the Dow Jones recovered (last week) and went up 740 points.  What is it about jobs for fellow Americans and excellent rates of return on investments that the Democrats fail to see as a good barometer of where the American people are?  Why do they hate the country so?

I worry about what is going to happen.  I worry that the Dems will find a way to topple President Trump.  I fear that if the House does follow through with the impeachment they have promised their overzealous base was coming for the past two years, Republicans in the Senate will drift to the other side and vote to convict.  NONE of these losers can foresee the damage heading the country’s way and especially towards them.

I fear that as the government shutdown continues, recalcitrant Republicans in the House and Senate will abandon the President.  Mitt Romney- traitorous POS that he is- is a harbinger of what is to come.  These RINOS will see ‘the light’ and will see that if they abandon Trump and his family to their fates, they will ride a joint wave of approval along with the Democrats to the top of the heap.

Sadly, however, we little folks on the street know this story because we have seen it before, which is why a sane individual would ask, “If we have seen this story, then WTF can’t the RINOS remember its outcome?”  That when they have received their 30 shekels of silver, the Dems will plunge the knife into their backs and that will be it.

Now, I know my colleagues have discussed the Whigs before, what happened to them, and how they vanished.  I believe they said the Democrats were at risk of becoming the Whigs but I sure as heck believe the Republican Party- the Party of Lincoln– is at risk for going the way of the Whigs off into the great wide open, to die a Judas-style death, alone, unloved, and despised.

Still, that will not do anything for you, me, and other like-minded Republican voters and believers as the balance of power will have shifted once and for all.  Without a second competitive party to keep the other at bay as the United States did the Soviet Union in the Cold War, the survivor will run amok and the American people will pay the price.

How is it we have one party pushing for abortions around the world?  Have we not already damaged our moral standing and our covenant with God through the curse bestowed upon us by Roe v. Wade and the mass murder committed by agents of the Democrats?  Virtually everything the Democrats get their hands on turns to fecal matter and it stains the soul of our nation.

Friends, we cannot abandon our president nor can we allow traitors within our own party to assassinate him on the way to the Forum as they would if they could.  No, we must circle the wagons around him and continue the amazing economic miracle that is doing so much for so many Americans as if we fail to provide him the support he needs to continue fighting, we will be guilty of aiding our enemies defeat him.

Thanks for joining me today, make sure you join me at both blogs tomorrow.  I will see you then.  Pray for the soul of our nation.

WE SUPPORT THE NATIONAL RIFLE ASSOCIATION

FEATURED ALBUM OF THE DAY:

Martin Turner (bass/lead vocals) released his next solo effort, “Argus: through the Looking Glass” on January 01, 2008, a sterling live effort featuring the famed bassist/vocalist fronting a band composed of the crème de la crème of the musical world.  The band performs the classic Wishbone Ash album, “Argus,” the one that put them on the map to fame and fortune.  Joining the phenomenal musician are Ray Hatfield (guitars/vocals), Danny Willson (lead guitar/vocals), Keith Buck (lead guitar/vocals), Rob Hewins (drums/percussion/and vocals) as well as special guest appearances by the renowned John Wetton (vocals), and Geoff Downes (Hammond B 3 organ).  The band delivers a command performance that is as breathtaking to hear as it most likely was to behold.  We hope you will seek this album out at your favorite haunt for music, particularly OLDER CLASSICAL ROCK-AND-ROLL.  This is a must-own effort so do your ears a favor- own it now.

SPECIAL ALBUMS OF THE DAY:

Moby Grape reformed once more in 1978 with the three core guitarists- Skip Spence (guitars/vocals), Jerry Miller (lead guitar/vocals), Peter Lewis (guitars/vocals), and released an album entitled, “Live Grape” on March 15, 1978.  Nowhere on the album did one find the name of the band because the greedy and devious former manager, Matthew Katz, the man who screwed this band along with several others was suing them.  Ah, well, joining the three musicians were Cornelius Bumpus (keyboards/saxophones), Chris Powell (bass), John Oxendine (drums), and Daniel Spencer (drums).  The album featured live cuts culled from two performances, which are excellent and well-worth hearing.  We love this effort and know that you will, too, whether you are fans of acid rock or of hard-rocking dudes from the beginning of a wonderful era.  We urge you to seek it out at Amazon.com where you can get it in the format, the condition, and the price that is right for you—you will love it—so please check it out now.

On March 26, 1973, guitarist/vocalist Jeff Beck joined forces with the rhythm section of the New York psychedelic rock band, Vanilla Fudge and Cactus (Tim Bogert- bass/vocals and Carmine Appice- drums/vocals), to form “Beck, Bogert, and Appice.”  An album of the same name came out on March 26, 1973.  When this album came out, it blew away the competition as the hard-rocking trio blew crowds out of stadiums and concert halls.  We love this album and encourage everyone to use the moment to seek the album out by visiting whatever brick and mortar or online marketer of LPs and CDs you love.  This is a must-own album and you need to add it to your collection.
