WINTER SESSION 2020
BLOG POST #3,409 AT THE AICP-END
250 DAYS UNTIL ELECTION DAY 2020
The health, safety, and welfare of the American people comes before lavishing our benefits on non-Americans; don’t you agree?
Ventura, CA 93001, 03-01-2020 Sunday: I am amazed at how the Democrats continue misleading the American people by lying and corrupting and obfuscating by claiming Donald Trump is doing a horrible job controlling the outbreak of coronavirus around the country as well as around the world. There is not much anyone can do to fight any outbreak of disease unless everyone is onboard with the plan and committed to the fight.
For far too long now, we have seen our beloved state of California fall into decline. For some reason, the once strong public sanitation and hygiene sector now is little more than a mere shadow of its once proud self.
I can remember the days when the county health department would come around and inspect one’s establishment and how vector control not only came and checked all public buildings but also would send mosquito abatement teams into every neighborhood either to drain standing pools of water or to spray them with a layer of a kerosene-like substance that prohibited mosquito larvae from reaching the surface and gulping air. No more.
The level of sanitation with which our nation has been blessed is among the major reasons as to WHY our nation has been so successful. If the health of the people is strong then the nation is strong. Hence why the health department of every locale around the country worked long and hard at controlling any opportunity for disease to break out and run amok among the population.
We have not seen a global pandemic since the outbreak of the Spanish influenza back in 1919. Following on the coattails of the First World War when much of the world’s population was struggling with the adverse effects of that conflict, the influenza located a vulnerable population. The pandemic claimed more lives than did the war which following upon the heels of the other devastated the world for years to come.
Since then as our nation has progressed, we have struggled long and hard to maintain public sanitation and safety. Only in the last two decades or so have we seen a decline in the public sanitation we once took for granted. While food service operations still undergo inspections, vector control has largely become our problem rather than something we fought together with county health officials.
Likewise mosquito abatement and vector control in our neighborhoods vanished. Oh, I am sure county workers come around hither and yon but not with the regularity we once expected which is sad as each crack in the system allows disease to enter and wreak havoc on our system.
I would urge our local, state, and federal leaders to reassume the roles they once did without question. If there is NO other reason upon which each level of government can agree when it comes to closing down homeless encampments, institutionalizing and aiding people whether they want it or not, and sanitizing the areas they have fouled with drug and human waste, then do it because of the coronavirus.
I also say that if there is no other reason that will cause you to agree on defending our borders, enforcing our immigration laws, and shuttering sanctuary communities, then let’s do it because of the possibility of a coronavirus pandemic. The health of the American people comes first, not sending us to the back of the line so liberal governments can lavish the benefits of being American upon NON-Americans.
In conclusion, let me mention this, too: if there is no other reason to cause Americans to understand that allowing OTHER countries to manufacture our medicines and medical supplies, use the threat of the coronavirus to encourage Big Pharma to manufacture our drugs and medical supplies on U.S. soil.
I would also say it makes no sense to have other countries grow our food, give us energy, even water, so let us all agree to put America first and then we can help the less fortunate around the world. If we fail to do this, there may be nothing left to save in a decade or so.
Thanks for joining me today. Please, contact local, state, and federal leaders and tell them public health must come first, that we are all Americans and that we must strive together to protect our country. It is our sacred duty as Americans that we do this. Don’t you agree?
See you later in the year. God bless and good luck.
