Meanwhile, America’s insurance companies announce that this year’s ongoing ‘peaceful protests,’ aka rioting, looting, arson, rape, and murder- will be the costliest in U.S. history, claims coming in between $1-2 billion. Thank you, Democrats, thank you, Marxist-Socialist thugs. Elsewhere, pot-smoking New York City Mayor Bill Di Blasio- struggling to remain lucid- announces that HE and his mayoral staff of at least 500 workers will go on furlough for two weeks, beginning in October. Don’t expect it to get any better anytime soon, the league’s owners MUST- we repeat, MUST- terminate the contract of Commissioner Roger Goodell and send this virtue-signaling POS packing and then must regain control of the players and enforce the rules. You remember ratings were DOWN in 2016 and were it not for Donald Trump, they would have continued tanking. This is your second chance, NFL team owners, and if you blow it this time, we expect America’s favorite sport will be as popular as midget mud wrestling. Don’t blow it. Speaking of football, the BIG 10 says it is going to return to playing games. Congratulations!

Next, along the west coast, out-of-control wildfires continue to burn acres and take lives yet in our northern neighbor, Canada, the wildfire season is way, way down thanks to proper forest management. Democrats do NOT think we won’t remember who is responsible for all the ills come November or in November 2022, November 2024 and onward. YOU will pay. Finally, last night, Tucker Carlson on Fox News Channel had Chinese Virus Crisis whistleblower, Dr. Li-Meng Yan on his program and she told the host that Beijing knew the facts concerning the Wuhan Flu and that they INTENTIONALLY ALLOWED IT TO ESCAPE. Finally, in the Ever-Red, uh, we mean, the Evergreen State, here are the stats: 84,320 confirmed cases, 2,107 confirmed deaths, but like California, the palooka-faced governor, Jay Inslee, won’t share the number of confirmed recoveries. Shame on these flipping Democrats. Let’s take a look at one more state, Idaho: 35,984 confirmed number of cases, 420 confirmed deaths, but no mention of the confirmed number of recoveries- thank you, Governor Brad Little for acting like a Democrat and remaining mum on this figure.

Earlier in the day, CDC Director Robert Redfield said that ‘masks are good’ and that ‘he was not as optimistic about a vaccine before late 2021.’  We shall see. However, Dr. Scott Atlas says 100 million doses should be available by the end of 2020. Elsewhere, “Pro-China Joe” Biden says his legal advisors have told him that he could probably issue a nationwide mask mandate via executive order. Joe: NOT enough prisons to hold everyone who will not obey the bull crap order. Better to make hydroxychloroquine, aka Plaquenil, available to ALL Americans.
  64. 2020 Wednesday H: Meanwhile, the U.S. Department of Justice charges five Chi-Com hackers with attempting to hack into more than 100 sites including social media and government. Next, President Trump reverses himself from an earlier stance and says that limited briefings on U.S. elections security will be provided to key members of Congress. As everyone knows, the Chi-Coms, the Russkies, the Iranians, the Cubans, the North Koreans, the Venezuelans, everyone with an ax to grind against the U.S. is going to attempt changing U.S. election results in November as they always do. When Barack Hussein Obama was president, he said influencing an election one way or another was nearly impossible so why would things be any different now?

  72. 2021 Thursday G: Joe Biden’s Border Catastrophe II– The Department of Homeland Security watchdog says that the ‘failure to screen illegal aliens along the border for COVID-19- and other diseases- is putting employees and American towns and cities at risk.’  Senator Ted Cruz, R-TX, says that the Biden-Harris regime are responsible for the 317-percent increase on illegal alien garbage pouring across the southern border.  Meanwhile, in Texas, 123 landowners along the border in Texas are allowing the state to erect border fencing on their properties.  Good for you.  In other border news, every day, 4,000 or more illegal aliens show up under a bridge between Texas and Mexico.  Currently, there are 8,000-10,000 illegals waiting beneath the bridge for the Border Patrol to show up and process them.  Fox News has been flying drones around the bridge to show the environmental disaster of all the urine, fecal matter, and disease swirling around beneath the bridge.  That is, until late today when the FAA banned Fox from flying any more flights in the area.
  73. 2021 Thursday H: Foreign News-Overseas News I– Following yesterday’s announcement by the Biden regime and leftist leaders in Australia- Prime Minister Scott Morrison- and in England- Prime Minister Boris “BoJo” Johnson regarding the three countries’ new alliance with which to give Australia nuclear-powered submarines, France became angry as they were not consulted seeing as how they are also involved in the Indo-Pacific Region.  Moron U.S. Secretary of State Anthony “Bullshit” Blinken is now trying to pacify and coddle hurt Gallic feelings.  We thought the Biden regime was supposed to be ‘grownups in the room’ and that everything was ‘going to get back to normal’ with this Chi-Com stooge in the White House.  Finally, Barack Hussein Obama gives Justin Trudeau his endorsement in Canada’s upcoming election.  Loser.
  78. 2021 Thursday M: Joe Biden News I– As various state governments, companies, and businesses continue fighting the unconstitutional COVID-19 vaccine mandates, Joe Biden is bringing in representatives from Disney and Microsoft so the old fogey can try to break their balls on the topic of vaccine mandates.  Ronna McDaniel, chair of the Republican National Committee says, “NO” to vaccine mandates.   Rep. James Comer, R-KY 1st congressional district, demands to see ‘evidence’ from Joe Biden’s inconclusive Chi-Com Virus origins report (seeing as how “Pro-China Joe” is trying to protect his paymasters in Beijing).  Next, following tweets saying ‘think for yourself’ from entertainer Nikki Minaj, the White House is dangling a phone call with her so they can twist her arm into urging her 22 million followers to rush out and get these bogus vaccines.   Don’t take it, Ms. Minaj.
  79. 2021 Thursday N: Joe Biden’s Daily Disaster– The blows continue hammering the fraudulent Joe Biden regime as first, 24 GOP state attorneys general threaten the regime with lawsuits over its mandate forcing Americans within their states to get inoculated for the Xi Jinping Bat Flu while leaving illegal aliens to do whatever the heck they want.  Meanwhile, Governor Kristi Noem, R-SD, told the Biden regime today, “See you in court” over the mandate.  As if that is not bad enough, Joe Biden laid out today a plan with which to tax the rich.  He claims the wealthy do not pay ‘their fair share’ when in fact, the top one percent pays 50-percent of all taxes while the bottom 50-percent and less pay little to no taxes other than sales taxes and SALT.  Most of them get their taxes back via tax refunds so this bull crap that the upper classes pay no taxes is little more than crap.  Meanwhile, in another blow to feeble Joe Biden, Senator Kyrsten Sinema, D-AZ, continues- with Senator Joe Manchin, D-W. VA- to hold out against this bogus $3.5 trillion ‘infrastructure bill.’  Meanwhile, racist Virginia Governor Ralph “KKK” Northam says he ’supports Joe Biden’s tax hikes.’
  80. 2021 Thursday O: Joe Biden Regime News I– The U.S. government is moving to block the agreed-upon Purdue Pharma settlement resulting from their hand in the ongoing opioid crisis.  Next, the Biden regime is praising the Fox News Channel for having nearly 90-percent of its employees vaccinated for the Kung Flu and for ordering weekly testing of ALL personnel.  What a load of crap, FNC has become a left-wing outlet.  How sad.  Finally, polls are showing that Joe Biden is facing an uphill battle to win a second term in 2024.  (Note- how many believe this man is going to make it to 2024?  What is with all these coughing fits of his?)
  81. 2021 Thursday P: Nancy Pelosi’s January 06-2021 False Flag Operation– We expect that Nancy Pelosi’s hirelings, i.e., FBI informants, paid Antifa and Black Lives Matter thugs, and other sundry garbage are going to ignite another FALSE FLAG OPERATION on Saturday at the Justice for the January 6, 2021, political prisoners languishing in the D.C. gulags.  The TSA is already tightening security at regional airports in case Marxists begin causing trouble.  This sounds like yet another attempt from start to finish to tarnish Trump supporters by setting off yet another riot.  This will allow House Speaker Nancy “Mumbles” Pelosi to put up Fort Pelosi once again and to keep it standing.  Meanwhile, Aaron Babbitt, widower of Ashli Babbitt, is urging there be NO violence at Saturdays “Justice for J6 Rally” at the U.S. Capitol.  Mr. Babbitt, NO Trump supporter, or defender of Americans’ civil rights will cause violence but all the stooges on the pay of the FBI and/or Speaker “Mumbles” Pelosi most assuredly are going to cause violence.  Finally, in other fascinating news related to the FALSE FLAG OPERATION of January 06, 2021, while Roger Stone was giving a radio interview, process servers showed up and served him live on air with papers related to the events of that day.  Wow.
  82. 2021 Thursday Q: Political News I– Senator Rand Paul, R-KY, told Newsmax that IF what is being alleged about Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Mark A. (Asshole) Milley is true, the scumbag could have triggered a nuclear war between the United States and communist China.  Chef Lilah Paulikovich of the AICPENDBLOG.COM said on her Twitter page a few days ago that Gen. Milley should be court martialed, stripped of rank, led up the 13 steps to the gallows, have the black bag placed over his head, the noose tightened around his neck, and then have the trapdoor beneath his feet dropped open.  He should also be fed to the crows.
  83. 2021 Thursday R: Political News II– Rep. Lee Zeldin, R-NY 1st congressional district, says that disgraced traitor General Mark A. (Asshole) Milley violated the chain of command via circumventing it in his communicating with the Chi-Coms.  Rep. Tim Burchett, R-TN 1st congressional district, says that ‘General Milley has clearly violated the Logan Act’ and should undergo prosecution for it.  Rep. Chris Stewart, R-UT 2nd congressional district, says that ‘it’s stunning how General Milley bypassed civilian leaders’ including the President and the then-Acting U.S. Secretary of Defense Christopher Miller, the latter of whom said he ‘did NOT okay the chairman’s calls to his Chi-Com ‘opposite.’  Finally, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-CA 23rd congressional district, says the ‘only winner in Joe Biden’s tax increases is the communist Chinese.’
  84. 2021 Thursday S: Federal and State Court News– A federal court has blocked the expulsion of illegal alien families under a Trump-era order.   Another judge nixes the Department of Justice bid to quash the Lone Star State’s new ban on abortions after a fetal heartbeat is detected.  Hearings are set for October 1.
  85. 2021 Thursday T: Sports News I– Tonight’s Thursday Night Football game features the New York Giants (0-1) and the Washington Football Team aka the Redskins.  The Redskins won 30-29 in the last couple of seconds.  Wow.
  86. 2022 Friday:  Observation of the Day– Watching the disaster befall Vladimir Putin in Ukraine must be akin to how our parents and grandparents viewed hapless Il Duce Benito Mussolini’s disasters in Albania, Greece, and in North Africa during World War II- a total Schmeckel to be sure, all schlong and NO balls.  His main ally- Xi Jinping of communist China must be holding his feverish, sweaty head in both hands much like Der Fuhrer Adolf Hitler did when he realized that he had to either ‘fish’ or ‘cut bait.’  In Hitler’s case, he could or would not ‘cut bait’ and thus rushed to the side of his beleaguered ally much to his eventual destruction.  Putin is NO Josef Stalin- perhaps he would like to be- but he’s demonstrated that he is a total flop at motivating his soldiers to fight an unpopular war on foreign soil which is the BIG DISTINCTION in this little melodrama.  The Russian people have no desire to fight a foreign war even in a country next door and thus as the Ukrainians continue kicking butts and taking numbers, Russian soldiers are throwing down their arms and raising their hands in surrender- “NO MÁS” as boxer Roberto “Manos de Piedra” Duran proclaimed when “Sugar Ray” Leonard was kicking his ass.  So many Russian soldiers are surrendering that Putin cannot eradicate all of their families so the only question remaining is WHEN will one of his adjutants stride up behind him and cap him?  If it has not happened by the time this post goes live, it should and hopefully will soon as this loser deserves NOTHING less.  Besides, where is the United Nations?  I know my colleagues have raised this question and so far, they are nowhere to be seen.  Time to boot the U.N. out of the U.S. now.  Let me know YOUR opinion- Chef James “Jimmy” Hall.

BEVERLY CARRICK ORIGINAL ARTWORK OF THE DAY:

This artwork is #0954 a 7” x 5” original oil painting by Beverly Carrick, which, she entitled, “Rosy are You my Posy.”  It is among her more beautiful works and is available for sale.  You can see much more of her work at her website, found at beverlycarrick.com.  At her website, you will see not only more original oil paintings but also lithographs, giclee, prints, miniatures, photographs, and even her award-winning instructional video entitled, “Painting the Southwest with Beverly Carrick.”  For more than 60 years- up until her untimely death from cancer in 2012- Bev stood before the easel and painted for 10-12 hours per day. Known around the world for both the beauty and timelessness of her artworks, her paintings are in demand as much today as they were 30 years ago.  Hanging in private and public galleries and followed by many fans encircling the globe—her works instill awe because of her artistic brilliance and personal beauty.  We urge you to go to her website NOW and view her stunning body of work, one the Chi-Coms have long tried to copy and sell facsimiles of but which none of them have ever been able to reproduce well enough to fool novice art buyers.  Once there, it is possible that you will find something you like and will want to buy it for yourself, a friend, a loved one, or a neighbor- virtually anyone.  You will not be disappointed so please: do yourself a favor and go there as quickly as your fingers can tap the letters on your keyboard.  The American Institute of Culinary Politics-Elemental News of the Day, aka the AICPENDBLOG.COM, thanks each and every one of you, our beloved, loyal fan base.  DON’T buy any counterfeit bull crap coming out of mainland communist China, especially from Xinjiang Province, ground zero for Chi-Com National Socialism.

ALBUM OF THE DAY AT THE AICPENDBLOG.COM:

The next album from Cheap Trick was their most successful to date: “Dream Police” (September 21, 1979).  Although some critics panned the album, the LP was smoking hot with the underlying theme of jackbooted thugs penetrating the dreams of sleepers and monitoring them.  Once again, the band has the same quartet of Rick Nielsen (guitars, backing vocals), Robin Zander (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Tom Petersson (bass, backing vocals), Bun E. Carlos (drums and percussion), as well as two accompanying musicians: Jai Winding (pianos, organs, synthesizers, keyboards), and Steve Lukather (guitar on one song).  The tunes rock from the opening track to the very last notes.  The songs include (1) “Dream Police” (2) “Way of the World” (3) “The House is Rocking (with Domestic Problems),” the astounding (4) “Gonna Raise Hell” (5)  “I’ll Be With You Tonight,” the absolutely lovely (6) “Voices” to (7)  “Writing on the Wall” (8) “I Know What I Want” to (9) “Need Your Love.”  This is an album every fan of the band and of rock-and-roll must own.  We love it, you will love it, everyone will love it.  Seek it out now- you will be glad you did.  Enjoy.

[i] We began promoting the music of an interconnected group of bands including the Small Faces, Faces, and Rod Stewart beginning on Tuesday, 22-April-2014 through Tuesday, 01-July-2014.  This was a massive undertaking of rock bands and solo artists so we hope you will seek them out and consider adding the music to your album collection.

[ii] At some point when we return to presenting the music of American bands, we will promote that of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers as well as of Tom Petty himself.  We hope you will await word as to when we do.  We thank you.

[iii] We hope to promote the music of this famous British band, T-Rex, sometime within the next five years.

[iv] We began promoting the music of the Grateful Dead- including Jerry Garcia, Bob Weir, Mickey Hart, and Phil Lesh- beginning on Tuesday, 30-August-2011 through Wednesday, 11-January-2012.  Then, we did a second series featuring more albums by this fabled San Francisco band beginning on Friday, 09-August-2013 through Monday, 19-August-2013.  At some point, we will have to do a third series as the music from this band never ends.  Please, seek them out and consider adding them to your collection.

[v] Many believe Barack Obama should be disqualified as a president because most believe he was born outside the United States which would ban him from ever seeking the highest office in the land.  At the very least, an asterisk should be placed by his name in all U.S. history books.

[vi] We promoted the music of not only Fairport Convention beginning on Monday, October 04, 2021, through Sunday, February 27, 2022, but also that of Richard and Linda Thompson, Fotheringay, Sandy Denny, Simon Nichol, and almost anyone else connected to this legendary band.

190. TODAY IN HISTORY—SATURDAY, JULY 09, 2022

2018 Monday: President Donald J. Trump announces his second pick for the U.S. Supreme Court: Brett Kavanaugh. In order to take the seat of his mentor, Justice Anthony Kennedy, Kavanaugh would have to undergo one of the most grueling confirmation processes heretofore seen in recent times in this country. Eventually, he would persevere but the Democrats in the U.S. Senate did everything imaginable to destroy this excellent jurist. God bless you, Justice Kavanaugh.

  2. 1401 Thursday: Mongol monarch Tamerlane destroys the city of Baghdad.  Given an opportunity to surrender and to become part of the Mongol empire, the leaders of the city laughed in the faces of the emissaries which led to dreadful things happening to the survivors of the assault on the city.  The Iraqis banked on their walls and on the mighty river flowing by the wall but with summer at full swing and the Tigris River at low ebb, there was no stopping Tamerlane’s assault.  Heads would roll.  BIG TIME.
  3. 1540 Tuesday: England’s King Henry VIII had his 6-month-old marriage to his fourth wife, Anne of Cleves, annulled.
  4. 1775 Sunday: British General Edward Braddock was mortally wounded as his troops suffered a massive defeat during the French and Indian War; he died four days later.

Cyrus Vance Jr., a real Trump hater), the court ruled that the president does not have absolute immunity from all lawsuits, all nine justices agreeing on this point.  However, it was not an immediate win for D.A. Vance as he cannot see the tax documents he has been trying to see because it’s a political witch hunt sans any real need to see the tax returns.  In Trump v. Mazars, the court handed the president a tactical victory in that the House committee seeking to see his tax returns cannot go on a fishing expedition and must have a reason as to WHY they must see his tax returns.  We shall see with what the maggots in the House produce.
  69. 2020 Thursday D: Meanwhile, U.S. District Court Judge Emmet Sullivan won’t let go of the now-destroyed case against Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn in that he is asking the federal appellate court to give the case another look.  WTF?  The Justice Dept. and federal prosecutors said to DROP the case because of the illegalities employed by the prosecution against the former national security advisor yet the crazed Judge Sullivan won’t let it go.  The guy is cruising for a future impeachment.

[ix]

[xiii]    Currently, Bitcoin, one U.S. greenback = 0.000030.  As for Chi-Com money, one-dollar U.S. = 6.48 Chinese yuan.  Meanwhile, one-dollar U.S. = 0.84 euros and in Mexican pesos equals 19.85.     In Vietnamese Dong, one greenback equals 23,000.00 and in West African CFA Franc, a buck equals 552.25 and in Yemeni Rial, one dollar equals 246.65 of theirs. [xiv]
  75. 2021 Friday E: U.S. National Debt and Gasoline Prices in the Four States in which we have Chef-Authors– Thanks to the Biden administration, gasoline prices continue rising by the day and NOTE- these prices are sans TAXES- in California, gasoline prices have risen to over $4.308 per gallon, $3.012 in Florida, $4.040 in Hawaii, and $3.827 in Washington state. [xv]    Let’s look at one other location- Vermont: $3.046.  We are going to do something else that could be fun- gasoline prices around the world going from cheapest to highest.  The next country on the list has the next lowest gasoline price in the world- Burkina Faso: $4.210 per U.S. Gallon. [xvi]  Meanwhile, here is a snapshot of the U.S. National Debt for today: $28,502,613,982,101 and the Democrats are adding TRILLIONS of dollars to it, not BILLIONS but flipping TRILLIONS. [xvii]  Cloward and Piven causing problems like they always do which is not good- those two bastards should have been given public lashings.  As for holders of U.S. debt, after Ireland, the next largest holder of U.S. debt is Luxembourg with $288 billion of U.S. national debt (it is important to note that these numbers vary every day with one nation after another jockeying for top position.
  76. 2021 Friday F: Joe Biden’s Border Catastrophe I– Here we are, Day No. 170 for the Biden regime to have usurped power from the rightful president of the United States, Donald J. Trump.  Anyhow, today is Day No. 108 for the so-called ‘Border Czar’ “Kooky Kamala” Harris, aka Willie Brown’s mattress, aka the gibbering jackal, aka the screeching banshee, aka the tittering orangutan to be in charge of the U.S.-Mexico border.  Today is also 14 days since her first and last visit to the border and we don’t expect to see her back at the border until President Donald J. Trump visits the region again.
  77. 2021 Friday G: Joe Biden’s Border Catastrophe II– Next, here are the stats for the illegal alien calamity for which the Biden regime bears 150-percent responsibility as presented by One America News channel: (1) Total Cost this Day of caring for the riffraff crossing the southern border: $570,053,440.  Next, here are the costs of caring for the tidal wave of illegal aliens this year (2): $207,693,398,016.  Next, (3) this is the number of illegal aliens who have crossed the border this year: 2,128,691.  Finally, (4) Total Number of illegal aliens estimated to be roaming the country: 36,128,692.  Note- this is a conservative effort as we at the American Institute of Culinary Politics-the Elemental News of the Day have as far back as 2009 when our blog underwent founding believe the number then was between 35-50 million.  Now, we believe the truer number of illegal aliens lurking in America’s shadows is closer to 75-100 million.  Time to round them up and to begin deporting this human fecal matter back to whence they came.   If we want to keep the brats, let’s put them into military academies and then use them to fight Third World regime change wars.
  78. 2021 Friday H: Foreign News / Overseas News I– Following the brutal assassination of Haitian President Jovenel Moise, at least two Americans are among the 17 suspected assassins scooped up by Haitian law enforcement.  Meanwhile, as things continue going from bad to worse as they normally do in Haiti, Port-au-Prince is begging that the United States send them troops to help them quell the violence.  Time for ‘Papa Doc’ and the Ton-Ton Macoute to come back and restore order, i.e., maybe a little bit of cannibalism will get everyone back in line?
  79. 2021 Friday I: Joe Biden News I– Slobbering Joe Biden is pushing Russia’s Vladimir Putin to do something about hacking U.S. companies.  Next, decrepit old Joe has nominated failed Los Angeles, California, Mayor Eric “The Grub” Garcetti to become the next U.S. ambassador to India.  Next, the voice in Joe Biden’s earpiece told him to fire holdover from the Trump presidency, Social Security Commissioner Andrew Saul after he refused to resign.  Apparently, Democrats and their allied hacks in labor unions and advocates for welfare despised the guy and he had to go.  Thus he did.  C’est la vie.
  80. 2021 Friday J: Political News I– Democratic leaders are doing what they do best and that is threatening another long, sweltering summer of unmitigated violence.  I say, ‘we give it to them!’ Next, the first group to appear before House Speaker Nancy “Mumbles” Pelosi’s ‘January 06, 2021, Select Committee’ will be Capitol Hill law enforcement officers when the panel begins.  These cops- under control of Speaker “Mumbles”- will be the first panel to dance to Pelosi’s jig.  Will they be the ones we have seen on film welcoming protesters and directing them as to where to go inside the U.S. Capitol on that day?  We expect the False Flag Operation orchestrated by the nonagenarian speaker and her cohorts will be evident for what it is: a load of hooey.
  81. 2021 Friday K: Political News II– Lt. General Michael Flynn, U.S. Army Ret., is endorsing Vernon Jones in his bid to unseat extremely unpopular RINO Governor Brian Kemp of Georgia.  Speaking of Governor Kemp, he reacted angrily to the BS flowing out of the White House regarding the state’s cleaning up of its voting system and said that ‘BOTH Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are lying about the Peach State’s changes to its voting laws.’  Elsewhere, Rep. Pramila “Pucker Puss” Jayapal, CPUSA-WA 7th congressional district, is back to beating a dead horse, “Medicare for All.”  Enough already, “Pucker Puss.”
  82. 2021 Friday L: Political News III– Former governor and UN ambassador under President Donald J. Trump, Nikki Haley, put forth two endorsements today (not that they matter) in two gubernatorial races in the nation.  First, in New Jersey, she has endorsed Republican Jack Ciattarelli and in Virginia, Republican Glenn Youngkin.  We shall see what happens.  Oh, President Donald J. Trump calls Virginia Democratic-Socialist candidate Terry “The Maggot” McAuliffe a ‘political hack.’  Elsewhere, Rep. Michael Waltz, R-FL 6th congressional district, says of Joe Biden’s rushed withdrawal from Afghanistan that it reignites the fears of the terrorists coming here.
  83. 2021 Friday M: Political News IV– In other political news, White House Press Secretary Jen “Circle Back” Psaki says that ‘buyers of Hunter Biden’s ‘art’ will remain ANONYMOUS.  Folks, can you fathom what would happen if say Baron Trump was painting artworks and selling them for hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars?  Ye gods, folks, there would be so many investigations on Capitol Hill that all other work of government would come to a screeching halt so every moment of every waking day could be spent investigation such an outrage.  Yet, when crack-headed pedophile Hunter Biden does it, it’s NO big deal.  Retribution is coming folks and it’s going to hit the Democrats like a tidal wave beginning this September when California boots Governor Gavin “The Nazi” Newsom.  The big day is September 14.  EVERYONE VOTE.
  84. 2021 Friday N: Moron News I– We haven’t had any Moron News lately but little Sandy Cortez, aka “The Fly,” aka “Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez,” aka “AOC,” is blaming fossil fuel executives for flooded New York City subways.  That’s like Governor Gavin “The Nazi” Newsom, DS-CA, blaming the horrible forest fire in northern California on ‘global warming,’ aka ‘climate change,’ aka ‘extreme weather,’ or whatever other moniker they choose to put on it when it’s failure to clean the forests and to continue building water infrastructure so that when crises hit- like the ongoing drought- water is available to offset it.  Both Sandy Cortez and “Nazi” Newsom are MORONS.  At least, California is going to get him out on September 14 (unless, of course, the ‘fix is in’ which it might be).  As for AOC and her subways, Baby Girl- if I can call you that- the reason the subways are flooded is because NYC is spending money on social re-engineering projects instead of doing what must be done and that is to maintain and improve existing infrastructure.  God knows there’s more than enough tax dollars in both the city and in the Empire State.
  85. 2021 Friday O: Federal and State Court News– North Dakota is suing the Biden regime over its cancelation of new fossil fuel contracts on public lands.  Good.  Sue the heck out of them.
  86. 2021 Friday P: Fake News I– John King of CNN- pompous, conceited ass- is upset by Alabama GOP Senate candidate Jessica Taylor’s new ad in which a rocket ‘launches’ liberal ideas and values into space and she mispronounces the name of our ‘esteemed “Kooky Kamala” Harris.  The fake news-spouting hack called the ad ‘VILE!’  Ah, wah, wah, wah, John, STFU.  Ms. Taylor is in the running to replace retiring Senator Richard Shelby.
  87. 2021 Friday Q: President Donald J. Trump News– President Donald J. Trump endorses former secretary of the U.S. Department of the Interior Ryan Zinke in his bid to return to Congress from the great state of Montana.
  88. 2021 Friday R: California Lottery Results / Mega-Millions Draw– Stay tuned for the results of Mega Millions Draw #1675 with a $94 million jackpot on the line.  Here are the numbers for tonight’s draw: 06, 37, 39, 41, 46, and Mega 17.  Out of 52,071 winning tickets in California, the highest winner was ONE person who had FOUR numbers plus the Mega for a prize of $14,270.

107. TODAY IN HISTORY—SUNDAY, APRIL 17, 2022

Friends, we understand that the left can say whatever they want about whomever they want. However, they persecute us for making light of all manner of things, lampooning bigwig politicians, or criticizing drastic social changes. Well, we will do our best to clean things up and put our critics at ease. What the hell. We do not seek to offend our readers (or those claiming to be readers); no, we seek to enlighten, elucidate, and educate our readership in the pursuit of the truth and the interaction of various opinions. We hope you seek the same with us instead of being woke crybabies.

  19. 1916 Monday: The French army begins launching counterattacks against German forces in and around Verdun, the great killing ground for both French and German troops.  The counterattacks fall atop German positions at Meuse and at Ft. Douamont.  Fighting is fierce and ongoing.   Elsewhere, heavy fighting between German colonial troops and their Askaris and a South African force erupts around the village of Kondona Irangi.  The Allies have had a hell of a time getting the Germans into a fixed fight and after the Kaiser’s troops inflict heavy losses on their opponents, they melt off into the terrain.
  20. 1917 Tuesday: A bill in Congress to establish Daylight Saving Time suffered a defeat; however, lawmakers managed to pass it a few months later.   Elsewhere, during World War I, British and Egyptian troops begin assaulting Ottoman Turk positions in and around Gaza.  The fight to liberate Palestine from the Turks is underway.

  26. 1943 Saturday: During World War II, Japan’s Admiral Yamamoto begins his final journey (unbeknownst to him) from the island of Truk to Rabaul in the Pacific Theater.  Elsewhere, future bassist/vocalist with the zany rock band, the Mothers of Invention[i] (1964-69 / 1975-76), Roy Estrada, was born in Santa Ana, California.  Estrada also played on the first two Little Feat albums.
  27. 1944 Monday: The Red Army continues driving Axis troops out of the western Ukraine.  One offensive after another prevents the German, Hungarian, Rumanian, and other allied Axis troops from being able to catch their breath and make a stand.  This is not good for the Axis, but they will continue fighting until the bitter end.

  32. 1960 Sunday: American Samoa sets up a constitutional government.
  33. 1961 Monday: Some 1,500 CIA-trained Cuban exiles launched the disastrous Bay of Pigs invasion of Cuba with which to topple communist thug dictator, Fidel Castro- or so the plan went- on this date.  However, President John F. Kennedy’s plan went awry from the start as Castro’s forces crushed the incursion by the third day.  The CIA was going to provide the freedom fighters with air cover but then President Kennedy and his brother, U.S. Attorney General Robert F. “Bobby” Kennedy got cold feet and left them to their demise.
  34. 1964 Friday: The Ford Motor Company officially debuts its Mustang with a base price of $2,368.

Haise, and Jack Swigert splashed down in the Pacific Ocean; four days after a ruptured oxygen tank crippled their spacecraft while en route to the moon.  Meanwhile, former Beatle Paul McCartney[v] releases his first solo effort, “McCartney.”  Elsewhere, at the fabulous Felt Forum in New York City, N.Y., “Big George” Foreman puts his pro record to 18-0 with a 3rd round TKO of opponent, James J. Woody.
  38. 1972 Monday: The Boston Marathon allowed women to compete for the first time; Nina Kuscsik was the first officially recognized women’s champion with a time of 3:10:26.  Elsewhere, at the Forum in Inglewood, California, heavyweight boxer Jerry Quarry scores a KO of opponent, Argentinian Eduardo Corletti at the end of Round 1 in a scheduled 10-round bout to put his record to 42-5-4.
  39. 1975 Thursday: The communist Khmer Rouge captures Phnom Penh, Cambodia (Kampuchea National Day), which marks the end of the Cambodian Civil War.
  40. 1983 Sunday: India entered space age launching SLV-3 rocket.  Meanwhile, Mountain[vi] bassist and vocalist Felix Pappalardi dies following his wife, Gail Collins Pappalardi shooting him dead after catching him cheating with other women.  Felix died in Manhattan, N.Y., at the age of 43.
  41. 1984 Tuesday: Atlanta Braves pitcher Pascual Perez suspended due to cocaine usage.
  42. 1990 Tuesday: In Stateline, Nevada, at Caesar’s Tahoe, “Big George” Foreman scores a TKO of opponent, Mike Jameson at the 2:16-minute mark of Round 4 in a scheduled 10-round heavyweight bout to put his pro record to 66-2.
  43. 1993 Saturday: LAPD police officers found guilty by a jury of their peers of violating Rodney King’s civil rights.  Remember, they pulled Mr. King over after a long car chase and beat the living s**t out of him, unaware that a passerby was recording their actions.
  44. 1997 Thursday: New Jersey Devils Martin Brodeur is second NHL goalie to score in a playoff game.
  45. 2003 Thursday: U.S. forces get lucky in Iraq as they scoop up one of deposed dictator Saddam Hussein’s half-brothers, Barzan Ibrahim Hassan al-Tikriti, the leader of Iraq’s intelligence-gathering agency, the Mukhabarat.  Off he goes to a black site.
  46. 2004 Saturday: Once again, the Israelis get their man: Hamas leader and thug- Abdel Aziz Ali Abdul Majid al-Rantisi, the famed “Lion of Palestine” embarks on a journey to meet with Muhammad.  An Israeli missile strike blows the piece of desert scum to bits.  Congratulations, Israel.  Elsewhere, Spain swears in its new socialist leader, Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero, on this date.
  47. 2005 Sunday: Indonesians across the country have been participating in anti-Israel and anti-American protests, mostly due to the U.S. invasion of Iraq and Israel, well, Muslim nations are always angry with Israel.  It is what it is.
  48. 2006 Monday: A Palestinian POS- a member of Islamic Jihad- killed 11 people and wounded loads of others when he detonated a bomb in the old bus station in Tel Aviv.  That’s the so-called ‘religion of peace’ for you.  A spokesperson for Hamas called it ‘an act of self-defense.’
  49. 2007 Tuesday: U.S. military deaths in Iraq have now surpassed 3,300 what with at least 58 being killed so far this month.  Not good.  Iraq says we killed three of their law enforcement officers today while civilians claim the U.S. fires on random families as they go about their daily lives.  We doubt this.
  50. 2008 Thursday: Chairman Lee Hung-Kee of the Samsung Group finds himself under indictment as on tax evasion and breach of trust.  Say it ain’t so.
  51. 2009 Friday: The Obama administration releases four memos from his predecessor President George W. Bush’s administration outlining torture of detained terrorist suspects.  President Obama promises no prosecutions for CIA agents which makes the leftists who voted for him thinking they were going to get some payback even more angry.   Meanwhile, a new study hits the news cycle claiming that the victims of most airstrikes in Iraq are ‘women and children.’  Somehow, we knew this would be the case…sounds like Hamas talking.
  52. 2010 Saturday: Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, calls for the expulsion of the United States from the international nuclear system because their religion prohibits the use of nuclear weapons, and the Obama administration is saying hateful stuff about their intentions.
  53. 2011 Sunday: The Mid-April 2011 southern United States tornado outbreak results in over 30 deaths; North Carolina is the state worst affected.  Elsewhere, law enforcement authorities in Beijing go on a rampage, scooping up underground Protestant church members and whisking them off to holding pens.  So much for freedom of religion.  Oh, wait- the Chinese communists don’t have ‘freedom of religion.’
  54. 2012 Tuesday: Senior members of the U.S. government admit that during the 6th Summit of the Americas that 11 U.S. Secret Service agents and possibly some military personnel were schlepping as many as 20 hos while in country in Colombia protecting President Barack Obama and other diplomats.
  55. 2013 Wednesday: In the U.S., a centerpiece proposal on background checks aimed at tightening gun control, fails in a Senate vote.  Elsewhere, in North Korea, border authorities are preventing South Koreans from supplying their fellow countrymen inside the now-shuttered Kaesong industrial zone.  The North Koreans want their apologies after yesterday’s burning of North Korea’s leaders in Seoul.
  56. 2014 Thursday: NASA’s Kepler space telescope confirms the discovery of the first Earth-sized planet in the habitable zone of another star.  Elsewhere, following the ferry disaster off South Korea, Korean navy divers continue searching for 290 people who still are missing.  What a mess.  Meanwhile, the Ukrainian military is angry over the previous day’s events what with the loss of six armored personnel carriers to ‘pro-Russian mobs.’  The unit that lost its vehicles is disbanded and its members charged with crimes of aiding and abetting the Russians.
  57. 2015 Friday: Russian leader Vladimir Putin accuses the Obama regime of ‘destabilizing the Ukraine’ by sending U.S. paratroopers to train Ukraine’s reserve military forces.  Sadly, even with a ceasefire agreement between Ukraine and ‘separatist rebels’ (who are really Russian and Chechen special forces), fighting continues unabated.  Elsewhere, as fighting continues in Iraq’s Anbar Province as ISIS continues drawing closer to Ramadi, civilians begin fleeing the city.
  58. 2016 Sunday: Heavy fighting continues around the Afghan city of Kunduz.  The Taliban are trying to encircle the city so they can cut it off from the outside, but Afghan government forces are having none of it.  They are giving as good as they get.  Taliban infiltrators are trying to penetrate government lines so as to set off attacks from within the city itself.
  59. 2017 Monday: The Chinese continue infringing upon the borders of India by holding first-ever military drills with Nepal.  Communists are like syphilis as they continue to spread and the only thing that can stop them is cutting them off the world body.  Meanwhile, Palestinian prisoners held in Israeli holding pens are on a hunger strike, protesting their food rations and quality.  Stop causing trouble and you can return home.
  60. 2018 Tuesday: Disgraced former FBI Director James Comey, detested by both Democrats and Republicans, publishes his (comic) book, “A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies, and Leadership.”  Big whoop.  It sinks almost as soon as it hits the bookstores.   Elsewhere, the United States government releases the names of Japanese military and medical personnel who took part in the infamous activities of Unit 731.  This unit conducted medical experiments that rivaled the cruelty of ones conducted by their Nazi allies during World War II.  When the war ended, the U.S. scooped up 3,607 of the unit’s members and in exchange for not prosecuting them for war crimes also scooped up all their scientific information (as most likely did the Soviets).  It was horrible times back then.
  61. 2019 Wednesday: After an 18-year-old female obsessed with the Columbine massacre begins making threats, schools in Denver, Colorado, undergo closure until police locate her dead body.  Elsewhere, Ukrainian security agents apprehend a Russian hit squad responsible for slaying a Ukrainian politician and were planning additional attacks in their country at the behest of Vladimir Putin.
  62. 2020 Friday: Although there is positivity as to how the United States is contending with the Chinese lab-engineered COVID-19 pandemic sweeping the world, it is still taking its toll.  At the time of this posting, the United States acknowledges 661,712 confirmed cases of the Kung Flu what with 33,049 confirmed deaths but 58,360 confirmed recoveries which is amazing.  Around the globe, there are 2,224,426 confirmed cases of this suspect disease, 153,177 confirmed deaths but 565,957 confirmed recoveries which is truly grand.   China- get this- is beginning to tell the truth but is still lying as far as many of us believe. They have updated their total confirmed case number to 88,273 what with 4,632 confirmed deaths and 82,487 confirmed recoveries.  However, everyone understands that communist nations always LIE, that they do everything possible to cover up disasters, which is precisely what the People’s Republic of China is doing.  As for the Stock Market, the DOW Jones Industrial Average closed at 24,242.49, UP 704.81 (2.99%); the NASDAQ closed at 8,650.14, UP 117.78 (1.38%); and the S & P closed at 2,874.56, UP 75.01 (2.68%).   Some states around the country are beginning to undergo reopening procedures but hardcore Democrat-controlled states continue extending their mitigation efforts in the hopes of tanking the economy if they can.  We believe, however, that these Democrat leaders are going to pay a horrendous price in the next 2-3 election cycles.  Keep it up!
  63. 2021 Saturday: COVID-19 STATISTICS FOR THE PLANET AS A WHOLE: 140,379,953 confirmed cases, +1,105,338, 3,007,708  confirmed deaths, +18,118, and 79,972,688 confirmed recoveries, +613,470.  Next, here are the stats for the United States: 31,824,596 confirmed cases, UP 142,550 from yesterday’s reporting, 572,155 confirmed deaths, UP 1,624, and 119,025,387 confirmed recoveries.  Note- we are going to do our own estimates of recoveries based on percentages seeing as how the CDC won’t report them.[vii]  In other COVID-19, a recent report says that Regeneron’s Chi-Vi cocktail can help prevent COVID-19 infections.
  64. 2021 Saturday A: NOTE: SINCE JOE BIDEN BECAME PRESIDENT ON JANUARY 20, 2021, THERE HAVE BEEN 246,196 CHI-VI DEATHS IN THE United States- feeble old Joe, in another two to three weeks, you will have tied the total number witnessed by the Trump administration in nearly a year of the rampaging coronavirus pandemic.  Meanwhile, people are questioning WHY if everyone is getting their shots why the hell people must continue wearing masks like that dimwitted little troll, the AMAZING Dr. Tony Fauci continues telling us to do.  WTF is up with that?
  65. 2021 Saturday B: COVID-19 STATISTICS in the four states in which, the world-famous American Institute of Culinary Politics-the Elemental News of the Day employs chef-bloggers- California, Florida, Hawaii, and Washington- here are the stats, California first: 3,714,406 confirmed cases, 60,883 confirmed deaths, and NO MENTION of confirmed recoveries.  Moving on, here are the numbers for Florida: 2,162,067 confirmed cases, 34,404 confirmed deaths, and NO MENTION of confirmed recoveries (same as yesterday’s count).  Next here are the numbers for Hawaii: 31,510 confirmed cases, 473 confirmed deaths, and NO MENTION of confirmed recoveries (same as yesterday’s count).  Finally, here are the stats for Washington: 385,695 confirmed cases, 5,427 confirmed deaths, and NO MENTION of confirmed recoveries (same as yesterday’s).  Let us look at one other portion of the U.S., Connecticut, the home of two of the absolute worst senators in U.S. history- lying Dick Blumenthal and dimwit Chris Murphy: they have 329,062 confirmed cases, 7,995 confirmed deaths, but no mention of confirmed recoveries.[viii]
  66. 2021 Saturday C: Now that Mo has relocated to Israel, let’s look at the statistics there: 836,936 confirmed cases, 6,331 confirmed deaths, and 828,235 confirmed recoveries.   Let’s look at one other country- Tunisia, the original flashpoint for the Arab Spring: 281,777 cases of the virus, 9,639 confirmed deaths and 232,643 confirmed recoveries.[ix]
  67. 2021 Saturday D: U.S. DOLLAR CONVERSIONS– Currently, Bitcoin, one U.S. greenback = 0.000017.  As for Chi-Com money, one-dollar U.S. = 6.52 Chinese yuan.  Meanwhile, one-dollar U.S. = 0.83 euros and in Mexican pesos equals 19.91.     In Guinean Franc, one greenback equals 9,947.00 and in Guyana Dollar, a buck equals 207.98.[x]
  68. 2021 Saturday E: U.S. NATIONAL DEBT AND GASOLINE PRICES IN THE FOUR STATES IN WHICH WE HAVE CHEF-AUTHORS– Thanks to the Biden administration, gasoline prices continue rising by the day- in California, gasoline prices have risen to over $3.963 per gallon, $2.829 in Florida, $3.755 in Hawaii, and $3.365 in Washington state.[xi]    Let’s look at one other location- Indiana: $2.847.  Meanwhile, here is a snapshot of the U.S. National Debt for today: $28,182,529,180,837 and the Democrats are adding TRILLIONS of dollars to it, not BILLIONS but flipping TRILLIONS.[xii]
  69. 2021 Saturday F: ODDS ‘N’ ENDS OF THE WEEKEND I– Esteemed legal scholar Dr. Alan Dershowitz blasted Democrats by saying ‘it would be a disaster to add additional justices to the U.S. Supreme Court’ which Democrats now want to do.  They claim that President Donald J. Trump and then-Senate Majority Leader “Cocaine Mitch” McConnell ‘got away with stealing two Supreme Court seats, the one Associate Justice Neil Gorsuch now holds as well as the one Associate Justice Amy Coney Barrett now holds.’  According to Congressman Jerrold “Dough Boy” Nadler, DS-NY 10th congressional district, and Senator Ed Markey, DS-MA, both far-left losers claim both those seats belong to the Democrats, so they believe the only thing to do is to expand the number of justices on the court.  Wow.   Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis, R-NY 11th congressional district, slams the Democrats over their court-packing scheme, saying it’s the worst thing she has seen since coming to Congress.
  70. 2021 Saturday G: ODDS ‘N’ ENDS OF THE WEEKEND II– Corey Lewandowski told Newsmax TV that the Chi-Coms pose a greater danger to the United States than do the Russians.  We concur.  Congressman Dan Bishop, R-NC 9th congressional district, told Newsmax TV that the ‘Russian bounty story,’ the one the Fake News media and liberal Democrats hammered President Donald J. Trump with for about half a year last year, a story we now know to be bogus,[xiii] demonstrates the hypocrisy of both the liberal media and of Joe Biden.  They lie through their teeth and then sweep it under the rug.
  71. 2021 Saturday H: ODDS ‘N’ ENDS OF THE WEEKEND III– Federal officials reverse the fetal tissue research ban so scientists can once again use the remains of the aborted in their medical studies.  How nice.  Meanwhile, U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland erased Trump-era limits on consent decrees on the nation’s police agencies.  Once again, the left wants to politicize every police department as they are attempting to do with every other branch of the federal government.   Elsewhere, former House speaker and BIG LOSER John Boehner stands to rake in $20 million with his pro-pot and anti-GOP endeavors.  What a POS.  Next, Roger Stone is being sued for back taxes.  Finally, for some inexplicable reasons, following GOP leadership pushing back against the formation of an America First Caucus in the House, it seemingly now is not going to happen.  That sucks.  Who did it?  Kevin McCarthy?  Steve Scalise?  That skank, Liz Cheney?  They all need to go.
  72. 2021 Saturday I: ODDS ‘N’ ENDS OF THE WEEKEND IV– Gary Gensler took the oath of office today to become the next head of the Securities and Exchange Commission.   Moving on, U.S. Secretary of the Interior Debra Haaland, the first Norwegian-Native American to hold the position has erased 12 President Donald J. Trump climate policies.  Bet you feel good, Madam Secretary.
  73. 2021 Saturday J: FOREIGN NEWS / OVERSEAS NEWS– The Iranians say they know who messed up their Natanz nuclear facility, but the dirty dog somehow evaded their dragnet and escaped the country.  Hmmm.  They named this person as 43-year-old Reza Karimi, a person whom they claim somehow committed a dastardly act of sabotage and then skipped the country hours before the computers were trashed.  They have gone to Interpol seeking his immediate arrest and extradition back to the glorious Islamic Republic of Iran.  We hope he stays safe.  Elsewhere, incredibly stupid Alexei Navalny, Vladimir Putin’s Number One Critic, a person poisoned by Putin’s thugs, who then found a way to get to Germany for treatment, and then returned to the Motherland.  Once there, he was tried and sent to prison for bogus crimes and is now being tortured and force-fed since he is on a hunger protest.  Why did you return to Russia?   Finally, Prince Philip underwent burial today.  The Royal Family was there, and Meghan Markle sent a wreath and a hand-written card.  Awesome.
  74. 2021 Saturday K: SUPER LOTTO AND POWERBALL DRAWINGS– first, here are the results for the Super Lotto Draw #3552 with a $38 million on the line: 02, 07, 12, 29, 44, and Mega 03.  Out of 122,366 winning tickets, the highest winners were FOUR people who had FIVE numbers but NO Mega for a prize of $10,574 apiece.  Here are the four winners: (1) Chevron, Folsom, CA 95630 (2) Chevron, Corona, CA 92879 (3) 7-11, San Diego, CA 92128 and (4) Ralphs, San Diego, CA 92127.  Next, here are the numbers for the Powerball Draw #838 with a prize of $79 million on the line: 10, 21, 26, 41, 49, and Powerball 25.  Out of 47,609 winning tickets in California, the highest winners were TWO people who had FOUR numbers plus the Powerball for a prize of $13,607 apiece.
  75. 2022 Sunday: Friends, we understand that the left can say whatever they want about whomever they want.

[i] We began presenting the music of the Mothers of Invention and of Frank Zappa beginning on Monday, 21-January-2013 and concluded the presentation on Monday, 13-May-2013.  Please seek them out, we believe you will enjoy the music of this famed man and his band.

[ii] Not sure as to when we will get around to doing the music of Uriah Heep, but we hope to do it at the same time we promote the music of Hawkwind.  We hope you will remain alert as to the day that we do.

[iii] Not sure when we will offer the music of the Jan Hammer Group, but you can bet we will one day to be sure.

[iv] As always, our main source is “The Last Valley” by Martin Windrow, Da Capo Press, 2004.

[v] We began promoting the music of both the Beatles and the band’s individual components on Friday, 04-November-2016 through Sunday, 11-June-2018.  Besides the Beatles, we also promoted the music of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, and George Harrison as well as the Traveling Wilburys.

[vii] Bing has returned to reporting update numbers (well, mostly).  Here is the link: (1) covid-19 u.s. and global statistics – Bing

[viii] Speaking of the decision to flip the game from Atlanta to Denver, we learned today that unsavory people like Stacey Abrams and the big dimwit, the pro-Chi-Com-loving LeBron James were integral in getting the game moved.  How outrageous.  How evil.  Scumbags.

[xiii] We knew it was bogus back then and mentioned it in numerous posts.  First, why would the Russians do something such as this when if they had said the Iranians did it, it would have been much more believable.  We would not have issues with the Russians today if the Democrats did not use them for their punching bag.  Russia did this, Russia did that, wah, wah, wah.  We don’t believe our two countries should be at odds with one another because all it’s doing is to push the Russians deeper into the Chi-Com camp.  No, we should try to have a friendly relationship with Moscow.  How about it, Joe?

Meanwhile, America’s insurance companies announce that this year’s ongoing ‘peaceful protests,’ aka rioting, looting, arson, rape, and murder- will be the costliest in U.S. history, claims coming in between $1-2 billion. Thank you, Democrats, thank you, Marxist-Socialist thugs. Elsewhere, pot-smoking New York City Mayor Bill Di Blasio- struggling to remain lucid- announces that HE and his mayoral staff of at least 500 workers will go on furlough for two weeks, beginning in October. Rains are heavy, storm surges strong, and flooding rampant. Elsewhere, NFL ratings are in a nosedive, the opening week’s ratings coming in with a 20-percent or more drop in viewership. Every game save the New Orleans Saints-Tampa Bay Buccaneers was below normal.
  56. 2020 Wednesday B: Senate Minority Leader and knuckle-dragger Sen. Chuck Schumer wants the head of Health and Human Services boss Alex Azar’s head over some bogus charge concerning the Xi Jinping Yellow Fever Bat Flu. Chuck- STFU. Meanwhile, Real Clear Politics polling average shows “Pro-China Joe” Biden with a lead of 49-percent to 44.7-percent over Trump. Wow. You go, Joe, you go! Next, along the west coast, out-of-control wildfires continue to burn acres and take lives yet in our northern neighbor, Canada, the wildfire season is way, way down thanks to proper forest management. Democrats, do NOT think we won’t remember who is responsible for all the ills come November or in November 2022, November 2024 and onward. It is interesting to note that famed bastion of free speech, Twitter (yeah, right), silenced the doctor’s account on September 15. My, my, me!
  57. 2020 Wednesday C: The U.S. Senate Homeland Security Committee has issued subpoenas to former CIA director John Brennan, former National Security advisor James Clapper, and former FBI director James “The Saint” Comey. Good. Bring them in and bust their balls on live TV! Elsewhere, radio talk show king, Rush Limbaugh, reports today on his program that new polling shows that in strife-torn cities and towns across the country, voters favor Donald Trump by a 2-1 margin in November. Ooops! Not good for the Democrats!
  58. 2020 Wednesday D: Here are today’s Comrade Xi Jinping’s Bat Flu Statistics for the globe: 29,689,922 confirmed cases, UP by 281,498 cases, 937,543 confirmed deaths, UP by 6,376 deaths, and 20,152,872 confirmed recoveries, UP by 201,786 recoveries. Here are the numbers for the United States: 6,704,125 confirmed cases, UP by 29,165 new cases, 199,297 confirmed deaths, UP by 912 new deaths, and 3,636,578 confirmed recoveries, UP by 21,091 new recoveries. (The number of recoveries would be even greater if Blue State governors would report them but alas, we know they won’t- corrupt motherf**kers). Now that Mo is living in Israel, here are the numbers for that nation: 170,465 confirmed cases, 1,165 confirmed deaths, and 122,785 confirmed recoveries.
  59. 2020 Wednesday E: Next, in the three states in which, the world-famous American Institute of Culinary Politics-The Elemental News of the Day employs chef-authors, California, Hawaii, and Washington, here are the stats, Golden State first: 771,288 confirmed cases, 14,648 confirmed deaths, but as is the norm, NO mention of confirmed recoveries. Next, here are the stats for the Aloha State: 10,951 confirmed cases, 100 confirmed deaths, and 3,885 confirmed recoveries.
  60. 2020 Wednesday F: Here are today’s BIG Stock Market closes: DOW Jones Industrial Average: 28,032.38, UP 36.78 points (+0.13%). Next, the NASDAQ: 11,050.47, DOWN 139.85 points (-1.25%). Finally, here are the stats for the S&P 500: 3,385.49, DOWN 15.71 points (-0.46%). The price of GOLD is $1,967.20 per troy oz., -3.30 (-0.17%) while the price of SILVER is $27.32 per troy ounce, -0.156 (-0.57%). The price of PLATINUM is $972.80 per troy oz, -0.70 (-0.07%) while the price of COPPER is $3.06 per pound, 0.00 (0.00%). The price of PALLADIUM is $2,399.00 per troy oz, -7.50 (-0.31%). 61. 2020 Wednesday G:  President Donald J. Trump- speaking from the White House today- said that he believes a vaccine will be available to combat the Wuhan Virus sometime in October.
  62. 2020 Wednesday H: Meanwhile, the U.S. Department of Justice charges five Chi-Com hackers with attempting to hack into more than 100 sites including social media and government. Currently, law enforcement is tracking these scalawags down.
  63. 2021 Thursday:  Stick around- we are halfway through our heavy work week…

ALBUM OF THE DAY AT THE AICPENDBLOG.COM:

Over the course of Jethro Tull’s lengthy lifespan, Jethro Tull has delivered loads of performances, most of which have ended up in bootleg form over the decades. Today, we have “Hard Times of Old England,” (June 05, 2021), that presents one famed live show for the fans. The band featured Ian Anderson (vocals, flutes, guitars, keyboards), Martin Barre (guitars), Dave Pegg (bass- Fairport Convention) Gerry Conway (drums and percussion from Fairport Convention), and Peter John Vettese (keyboards, synthesizers, and backing vocals). The show is an excellent radio broadcast out of Germany during the “The Broadsword and the Beast” tour. If you want to hear the band at the peak of its popularity, this is a good album with which to do it as you get the crème de la crème of the early 1970s. We hope you will seek this one out and consider adding it to your collection- you will be glad you did.

ENDNOTES:

  64. 2020 Thursday C: On the final day of the U.S. Supreme Court’s term, the high court handed down two decisions, both regarding President Donald J. Trump.  First, in Trump v. Vance (Manhattan D.A.
  65. 2020 Thursday D: Meanwhile, U.S.
  66. 2021 Friday: Please join us later in the day to discover the truth…

Famed guitarist Martin Barre returned with his next solo effort, “The Meeting,” on September 12, 1996.  Once again, the musician demonstrated just what a musical powerhouse he was and what he provided to Jethro Tull since the late 1960s, a unique, polished sound.  Joining the axe-man were Jonathan Noyce and Matt Pegg (bass), Doane Perry, Gerry Conway, and Marc Parnell (drums), Mark Tucker (guitars), Craig Milverton and Andrew Murray (keyboards), Miles Bould (percussion), Maggie Reeday (vocals), and several others.  We hope you will seek this album out and make it a part of your listening pleasure each day.  You will be glad you did.

[vi] We began promoting the music of the Grateful Dead- including Jerry Garcia, Bob Weir, Mickey Hart, and Phil Lesh- beginning on Tuesday, 30-August-2011 through Wednesday, 11-January-2012.  Then, we did a second series featuring more albums by this fabled San Francisco band beginning on Friday, 09-August-2013 through Monday, 19-August-2013.  At some point, we will have to do a third series as the music from this band never ends.  Please, seek them out and consider adding them to your collection.
