Chef Robert H. Cznystekinki, ACF- CWC, AAC, writes from Valencia, CA 91354
Thanks to local Oildale, California, street artist, Simone, what you see here is his representation of me, Chef B.H. Cznystekinki. No longer do we share photos- even old ones- as there are too many crazy f**ks out there who will picket our restaurants, follow us home, and cause trouble. Therefore- we write with aliases and share facsimiles now because when you own businesses as we do, it does not make a great deal of sense to share too much information lest people boycott our businesses or worse, attack our families and us. I always loved to cook and apprenticed as a young man which is what most of have done who write for the American Institute of Culinary Politics-Elemental News of the Day. We share a love for the culinary world and do our best to share that love with you. We hope you enjoy it!

Chef Beatrice “Bea” or “B.B.” O’Malley, ACF-CWC, Mixologist, writes from Wasco, CA 93280
This is a cartoon caricature of me when I was working at a restaurant in Wasco, CA, my hometown. The up-and-coming Bakersfield, California, street artist Simone did portraits of each of us here at the blog so I hope you like them as much as I, ahem, do. Ah, well, I joined the Chefs de Cuisine of Greater Bakersfield, ACF, not long after it was chartered and am still a member even though the chapter is no longer in operation. I began working in foodservice in the late 1960’s, moved from Wasco, CA, to Monterey, CA, and then returned to my hometown in 2004. I have been a foodserver, a Mixologist, and am a Certified Cook. I am equally at home in both the kitchen and behind the bar (and on the floor, too). My passions are numerous, and my favorite is working in the bakery whenever I have had a chance.

Chef Brian Carrick, ACF Retired
My colleagues and I no longer share old photos of us, as the price of success means that lunatics and nuts come looking for one. Therefore, we hired local up-and-coming Bakersfield-Oildale, California street artist, Simone, to create facsimiles of us so we can remain somewhat obscure. Ah, well, I began my culinary career in 1969 bussing tables at age 12 and became a cook’s apprentice in 1973 at age 17. I have worked all over California, Hawaii, Washington State, and even a short time in Arizona.
Chef Brian Carrick writes from Weedpatch, California 93241.
