56. 2020 Thursday: Election Day plus Two- what are the Chi-Coms, their Democratic Party patsies, and their Brown-Shirted storm-trooper thugs up to today? Well, the Democrats at the behest of their masters in Beijing are out there trying to steal elections in North Carolina, Nevada, Arizona, Wisconsin, and Michigan- among other states- so it is up to the American people to make sure the Democrats understand that if they get away with this blatant outright theft before our very eyes, there is going to be payback and it’s not going to be pretty.

ALBUM OF THE DAY AT THE AICPENDBLOG.COM:

The next album released by Richard and Linda Thompson- “Shoot Out the Lights”- came out on March 15, 1982.  This would be their final album by husband and wife and compared to their previous ones, this was an excellent album containing three major tunes: the title track, absolutely amazing, “Back Street Slide,” a superb tune if ever one existed, and a solemn acknowledgement that things between husband and wife were coming to an end: “Walking on a Wire.”  Joining the duo for this album were old friends, Simon Nichol (guitars), Dave Pegg and Pete Zorn (basses), and Dave Mattacks (drums).  We hope you will consider checking this one out as it marks a glorious transition between the ‘old Richard Thompson’ and the new one, ‘the electrified rock-and-roller.’  We think you will enjoy the emotional displays on this album as much like Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Rumours,’ it’s all on full display here.  Give it a good listen and if you enjoy it, add it to your collection of daily listening pleasure.
