  56. 2013 Monday: Near the foot of Temple Mount in the Old City of Jerusalem, archaeologists discover 1,400-year-old treasure, called “the Opel Treasure.” Elsewhere, four days of vehicular gridlock began near the George Washington Bridge when two of three approach lanes from Fort Lee, New Jersey, were blocked off; Democrats later blamed the traffic jam on loyalists to New Jersey Governor Chris “Big Fats” Christie over the refusal of Fort Lee Mayor Mark Sokolich to endorse Christie for re-election.  Christie denied any prior knowledge of the lane closures.  Hmmm, could “Big Fats” big telling the truth or is he a lying scumbag?  We will never know.
  57. 2014 Tuesday: In Taiwan, the government arrests six scumbags for selling contaminated lard products to foodservice operations, manufacturers, and restaurant suppliers, the lard contained discarded cooking oil as well as waste material from leather manufacturers. Meanwhile, in Iran, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei undergoes prostate surgery. It must have gone well, in 2020, the old POS is still alive.
  58. 2015 Wednesday: Elizabeth II became the longest reigning monarch in British history.
  59. 2016 Friday: During the second term of Barack Hussein Obama, North Korea conducted its fifth nuclear weapons test. Leader Kim Jong Un wanted to make sure he caused problems for the successor of the 44th president, whether it was going to be Hillary Clinton or Donald J. Trump.
  60. 2017 Saturday: At the 74th Annual Venice Film Festival, Guillermo Del Toro’s “Shape of Water” wins the coveted Golden Lion Award. The movie starred Michael Shannon, Octavia Spencer, Sally Hawkins, Richard Jenkins, and numerous others.
  61. 2018 Sunday: After six more women air their #MeToo allegations against CBS News boss Les Moonves in the New Yorker, he throws in the towel and calls it quits. Meanwhile, things are going crazy across Russia as police begin arresting anti-pension reform protests, rounding up one-thousand, or more, in a single day.  Hey!  Vladimir Putin and his flunkies need to self-enrich so something has to give…
  62. 2019 Monday: After South Africa undergoes a wave of xenophobic violence, Nigeria says it will act quickly to repatriate at least 600 of their citizens. Since Nelson Mandela died, everything has gone to hell in the once-stable country.  Meanwhile, singer John Legend[v] and plump wife Chrissy Tiegen light up President Donald J. Trump who launched into them on Twitter for criticizing his prison reform efforts.  He called them “foulmouthed’ and ‘boring,’ two criticisms the two ‘beautiful people’ didn’t like.  The truth always hurts.
  63. 2020 Wednesday: Today, we learned that across the nation, Democrats dominate the requests for mail-in voting ballots. Folks, this is a time-honored variation of a psychological trick the Democrats ALWAYS use which is to depress their opponents into believing it’s a ‘done deal,’ that whomever the Republican president is, he is going to lose and to LOSE BIG.  Don’t fall for it, let them do what they are doing.  Speaking of Democrats, we learned that the Harris-Biden 2020 Campaign raked in $355 million for the month of August: however, no reporting of the Trump-Pence tallies.  Elsewhere, Chicago reports that downtown Chi-Town renters are abandoning the city and who can blame them?  Lawlessness, mob violence, shootings, beatings, rapes, all are on the rise.  Thanks to this, occupancy rates have fallen by 5.2-percent over the past few weeks which means that Chicago- like New York City and other big BLUE STATE METROPOLISES- is going to die due to poor leadership and criminal mismanagement.   Next, Fox News reports that Obama-Biden, over their eight years in office lost 494,000 manufacturing jobs while over the past three years, Donald Trump gained them back.  Yet, “Pro-China Joe” Biden is on the campaign trails when he can wake up claiming HE is the one who will bring jobs back to America.   Speaking of President Trump, the Nobel Peace Prize group announced they were putting in Trump’s name for their 2021 Award thanks to trying to make peace with the North Koreans and for brokering a peace deal between Israel and the United Arab Emirates, something, laughingly, that Vice President Biden claims ‘me and Barack set the foundation for;’ please, you two goobers did no such thing.
  64. 2020 Wednesday A: Here are today’s Xi Jinping Bat Flu Statistics for the globe: 27,605,570 confirmed cases, UP by 213,357 cases, 898,269 confirmed deaths, UP by 556 deaths, and 18,565,072 confirmed recoveries, UP by 187,663 recoveries. Here are the numbers for the United States: 6,434,718 confirmed cases, UP by 23,326 new cases, 193,119 confirmed deaths, UP by 668 new deaths, and 3,481,537 confirmed recoveries, UP by 30,719 new recoveries.  (The number of recoveries would be even greater if Blue State governors would report them but alas, we know they won’t- corrupt motherf**kers).
  65. 2020 Wednesday B: Next, in the three states in which, the world-famous American Institute of Culinary Politics-The Elemental News of the Day employs chef-authors, California, Hawaii, and Washington, here are the stats, Golden State first: 747,603 confirmed cases, 13,899 confirmed deaths, but as is the norm, NO mention of confirmed recoveries. Next, here are the stats for the Aloha State: 10,025 confirmed cases, 88 confirmed deaths, and 3,063 confirmed recoveries.  Finally, in the Ever-Red, uh, we mean, the Evergreen State, here are the stats: 81,133 confirmed cases, 2,046 confirmed deaths, but like California, the palooka-faced governor, Jay Inslee, won’t share the number of confirmed recoveries.  Shame on these flipping Democrats.  Let’s take a look at one more state, Wyoming: 4,103 confirmed number of cases, 42 confirmed number of deaths, and 3,451 confirmed recoveries- thank you, Governor Mark Gordon for providing us the proper figures.
  66. 2020 Wednesday C: Here are today’s BIG Stock Market closes: DOW Jones Industrial Average: 27,940.47, UP 439.58 points (+1.60%). Next, the NASDAQ: 11,141.56, UP 293.87 points (+2.71%).  Finally, here are the stats for the S&P 500: 3,398.96, UP 67.12 points (+2.01%).  The price of GOLD is $1,955.10 per troy oz., +0.20 (+0.01%) while the price of SILVER is $27.21 per troy ounce, +0.127 (+0.47%).  The price of PLATINUM is $924.10 per troy oz, -0.80 (-0.09%) while the price of COPPER is $3.06 per pound, +0.0035 (+0.11%).  The price of PALLADIUM is $2,305.80 per troy oz, -37.40 (-1.60%).  The price of Light Sweet Crude Oil is $37.83 per barrel, -0.22 (-0.58%).  Currently, one-dollar U.S. = 6.83 Chi-Com yuan.   Meanwhile, one-dollar U.S. = 0.85 euros and in Mexican pesos equals 21.37.
  67. 2020 Wednesday D: The Iranian garbage announce they are building a new, more secure site from which to enrich uranium at a much more rapid pace so they can build a bomb or two, the first one in 3.5-months. The Iranian Revolutionary Guard and their mullah bosses claim the Mossad destroyed their first site via fire and explosions earlier in the year.  Folks, time to NUKE the living s**t out of these scumbags.  Meanwhile, the Oscars announce complicated new diversity rules so we can all encircle the bonfire and sing ‘happy, happy, joy, you.’  Here they are: A QUOTA SYSTEM, how about that?  To ensure more equitable representations, one of four lead actors must come from underrepresented groups such as black, Hispanic, Middle Eastern, Pacific Islander, or whatever else they can dream up along with 30-percent of all secondary actors must come from underrepresented groups including gays, the disabled, and the aforementioned groups as well as chicks.  In addition to that, the storylines/focus/themes must focus on underrepresented groups, and finally, at least two senior executives must come from underrepresented groups.  Wow, we already don’t watch movies now so from this point forward, we won’t be watching any flipping movies but if a producer wants their film to qualify for an Oscar- any Oscar- they will have to meet each of these requirements or qualify for NOTHING.
  68. 2020 Wednesday E: The woman accusing President Donald J. Trump of sexual assault, aka ‘rape,’ back in the 1990s- E. Jean Carroll- says the U.S. Department of Justice’s decision to defend the president was “UNPRECEDENTED.” It is not unprecedented as many times the U.S. Department of Justice will insert itself into a legal case on behalf of an individual federal employee and since President Trump IS a federal employee, it is perfectly legal and common.  Carroll claims that since the president recently disputed her accusations by saying (1) it never happened and (2) he doesn’t know her; it has harmed her credibility and her reputation.  Wah-wah-wah.  The Westfall Act gives federal employees absolute immunity from legal actions such as these and since Ms. Carroll is going to court in New York State, one can smell the malevolent odor of New York State Attorney General Letitia “Tish” James (as well as decrepit old battleax Hillary Rodham Clinton) somewhere in the mix.  We suspect that “Pro-China Joe” Biden will attempt to copy Trump’s tactics at a debate between he and Mrs. Clinton back in 2016 when the NY real estate developer and media mogul trotted out all of Bill Clinton’s rape accusers and sat them in the front row to throw the former first lady, senator, and secretary of state off her game- it worked but Ms. Carroll won’t sway Trump.  You can bet on it.  With the U.S. defending Trump, the case moves from New York State courts to the federal courts where she will end up the one in trouble.  Count on that, too.
  69. 2020 Wednesday F: Excerpts from Bob Woodward’s upcoming book, “Rage,” have clips of President Trump on tape downplaying COVID-19’s danger. President Trump has done more than any other country around the globe to defeat this Chi-Com bat flu, yellow fever virus running amok and when questioned on his statements, the commander-in-chief says he did ‘not want to cause a panic.’  Sounds about right.  What matters here is that communist China LIED to the world and must pay a price for their crimes against humanity.  Elsewhere, on the campaign trail, Joe’s anti-senility meds are working fairly well today, and he uses the admissions of Trump on tape to blast him and to tell the world all the amazing things he will do as president.  God help us!
  70. 2021 Thursday: For us, this is the midpoint of the week.  Let us see what Beijing Biden is up to today… NFL 2021-22 Season opens tonight with the Dallas Cowboys visiting Super Bowl champions Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  Bucs, obviously…

ALBUM OF THE DAY AT THE AICPENDBLOG.COM:

Martin Barre spent his entire life performing with Jethro Tull so when the band began to perform less and less, he had more time with which to indulge his own musical explorations.  On September 02, 2020, the legendary guitarist released a two-CD package in which he performed 28 of Jethro Tull’s classic tunes with his band, reworking them in ways that presented his musical views and stylings which are truly delightful.  We hope you will seek this album out, give it a good listen, and then add it to your ongoing growing collection.  Those of you who have been with us since 2009 understand just what the heck we are talking about, a long list of more than 4,800 musical offerings.  Please, enjoy and share.

ENDNOTES:

[i] We promoted the music of Iron Butterfly beginning on Saturday, 27-July-2013 through Thursday, 08-August-2013.  We hope you will seek them out and consider adding them to your ever-growing collection of rock music.  Nothing one finds today compares with the classic rock of old.  Throw out your Maroon 5 albums and go with the crème de la crème of the 1960s and 1970s.

[ii] When we promoted the music of the Byrds and then Buffalo Springfield, had we been more perceptive at the time as to how we would combined integrated musical groups and performers, we should have done the music of Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young, as well as each artist’s solo catalog as well as that of the various members of the Byrds.  We look forward to correcting that mistake at some point in the next 3-5 years so please remain alert for that day.  You will be glad you did.

[iii] When the time will be right for the presentation of Elvis Presley is unknown but if we are still going strong in the 2030s, we expect to do so.  Please, stay tuned.

[iv] Good riddance to this Chi-Com POS.  He was a murderous thug and deserves to burn in Hell.

[v] We don’t ever plan on doing the music of this little wimp. Maybe in 80-100 years?

WE THANK EVERYONE FOR JOINING US AT WORDPRESS.COM AND FOR AIDING US IN CONTINUING TO DO THE WORK WE TOOK UPON OURSELVES MORE THAN A DECADE AGO

IF the Chi-Coms and their Democratic stooges can collapse the American middle classes, they will be well on the way to toppling us a nation and putting socialism in its place

Author: Chef Goldie McNamara ACF-CWC

Due to the increasing number of threats and intrusions into our personal lives, we who blog here at the American Institute of Culinary Politics-Elemental News of the Day have engaged the services of local up-and-coming Bakersfield street artist, Simone, to do renderings of us as he sees fit. I must say that he did an ‘okay job,’ it is what it is and I am fine with that. Anyhow, I have spent my life working in professional food service and find it an immense joy to be able to come here 1-2 times a year and to share my political opinions and observations with me. Thank you for joining me, we welcome everyone and invite them to bring their friends, family members, and coworkers/employees with them. Chef Goldie “Goldfish” McNamara writes from Bakersfield, CA.
