233. TODAY IN HISTORY—SATURDAY, AUGUST 21, 2021

BBB. 2020 Friday A: Democrats are celebrating “Pro-China Joe” Biden’s acceptance speech the previous night at the Democratic National Convention. What is clear is that the organizers presented a ‘canned speech,’ and one can only imagine the number of takes required to make it appear seamless. IF Joe truly gave the speech live and in one take, then he should be willing to debate at least four times. What does he have to lose, Dems, he is so flipping brilliant, so get him out there and on the stump?

  52. 2019 Wednesday:  President Donald Trump cancels his upcoming state visit to Denmark after labeling Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen ‘nasty’ for laughing at his suggestion the United States ‘buy Greenland.’  Folks, buying Greenland would be akin to buying Alaska, the mineral resources are underdeveloped as well as the fact that it would also put a damper on Russian expansion north of the Arctic Circle.  The Russians claim almost everything around the North Pole as theirs to which, we should give them a strong brushback.  BUY GREENLAND!
  53. 2020 Friday: USPS Postmaster General Louis Dejoy testified before the U.S. Senate today, albeit remotely, answering questions about changes occurring in the U.S. Postal Service.  Democrats were rude as is the norm, demanding “YES” or “NO” answers to weighty questions, basically accusing the man of trying to steal the election in November.  Problem for the Democrats is this: THEY are the ones trying to steal the election and always accuse others of what they themselves are doing.  It never fails.  Meanwhile, actress Lori Loughlin gets two months in prison for the college admissions scandal while hubby, Mossimo Giannuli gets five months.  Liberals are crying saying Crystal Mason, black mother of three, got five years in prison for voting when she was a felon and failed to know it was illegal for her to vote.  Folks, felons understand when they leave prison they cannot own guns, practice law, serve on juries, or vote so stop with the sniveling already, Robert B. Reich, Charlotte Clymer, and all the rest of the leftist mob.  It is what the f**k it is. Granted, Loughlin and Giannuli should have gotten two years and five years respectively but remember, liberals, they are members of YOUR tribe so why are you bitching?
  54. 2020 Friday A: Democrats are celebrating “Pro-China Joe” Biden’s acceptance speech the previous night at the Democratic National Convention. (Note- we still believe something will befall him and his wife prior to Election Day.  The Dems will then use emotions to elect whomever their ticket ends up becoming.  We shall see).
  55. 2020 Friday B: Here are today’s Chi-Com Virus Statistics for the globe: 22,589,017 confirmed cases, UP by 73,804 cases, 792,475 confirmed deaths, UP by 2,650 deaths, and 14,457,309 confirmed recoveries, UP by 76,261 recoveries.  Here are the numbers for the United States: 5,551,793 confirmed cases, UP by 44,864 new cases, 173,490 confirmed deaths, UP by 1,074 new deaths, and 2,852,221 confirmed recoveries, UNKNOWN because there is no report of new recoveries.  (For some reason, the reportage of U.S. statistics has stagnated, so we have to look everywhere across the Internet seeking current figures.  Could it be…politics?).
  56. 2020 Friday C: Next, in the three states in which, the world-famous American Institute of Culinary Politics-The Elemental News of the Day employs chef-authors, California, Hawaii, and Washington, here are the stats, Golden State first: 650,336 confirmed cases, UP 5,585 cases, 11,821 confirmed deaths, UP by 135, but as is the norm, NO mention of confirmed recoveries.  Next, here are the stats for the Aloha State: 5,844 confirmed cases, UP by 235 (according to yesterday) forty-five confirmed deaths, UP by three, and 1,716 confirmed recoveries, UP by fifty-four.  Finally, in the Ever Red, uh, we mean, the Evergreen State, here are the stats: 69,389 confirmed cases, UP by 223, 1,837 confirmed deaths, UP by five, but like California, the halfwit governor, Jay Inslee, will not share the number of confirmed recoveries.  Shame on these flipping Democrats.  Let us look at one other state we have not looked at before: South Carolina: the state claims 110,378 confirmed cases, 2,459 confirmed deaths, and no mention of confirmed recoveries.  Sad
  57. 2020 Friday D: Here are the stats for today’s Stock Market closes: first the DOW Jones Industrial Average, 27,930.33, UP 190.60 points (+0.69%).  Next, here are the stats for the NASDAQ:  11,311.80, UP 46.85 points (+0.42%).  Finally, here are the numbers for the S&P 500: 3,397.16, UP 11.65 points (+0.34%).  Price of GOLD: $1,947.40 per troy oz., +0.40 (+0.02%).  Here is the price of SILVER: $26.88 per troy oz., +0.153 (+0.57%).  Price of PLATINUM: $926.30 per troy oz., +0.20 (+0.02%).  Here is the price of COPPER: $2.93 per #, +0.0009 (+0.31%).   Price of Light Sweet Crude Oil per barrel: $42.25, -0.09 (-0.21%).  Today, one dollar U.S. = 6.92 PRC yuan while one dollar U.S. = 0.85 euros.
  58. 2020 Friday E: Marquise Love, the POS scumbag who shocked the civilized world when he assaulted passing motorist Adam Haner in Portland, Oregon, this past Sunday night when after beating the man, delivered a violent roundhouse kick to the prone man’s head turned himself in to the police.  These violent scumbags need eradication as though they were wild rabid dogs, we wholeheartedly urge law enforcement to go after the Antifa Brown Shirts and the Black Lives Matter thugs and begin taking them OUT.  We cannot permit Marxist-inspired anarchy to destroy American cities.
  59. 2020 Friday F: Alexei Navalny, the anti-Vladimir Putin critic poisoned earlier in the week by suspected Putin operatives finally receives permission from Moscow for German paramedics to airlift him to Berlin for medical treatment.  Once again, Putin has let everyone know it was HIM who did this because poisoning is his mode of silencing critics.  Speaking of Russians, U.S. law enforcement agents arrested former U.S. Army Green Beret, 45-year-old Peter Rafael Dzibinski Debbins on charges that he has been spying for the GRU since December 1996 to January 2011.  Shame on you, you POS.
  60. 2021 Saturday: Let us hope today is a good day…

ALBUM OF THE DAY AT THE AICPENDBLOG.COM:

The next album released by Mick Abrahams is the fiery blues album, “Working in the Blues Kitchen” on May 07, 2014.  This album contains a plethora of unreleased studio cuts culled from the legendary guitarist’s decades-long career.  If you are a fan of veteran axmen, this is one everyone should own because unlike Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page, Kim Simmonds, Alvin Lee, and one or two others, most are tragically unaware of Mr. Abrahams’ chops.  We hope you will seek this one out and give it a good listen.  Your ears will steer you in the right direction so take our advice and follow them…

As have the rest of my colleagues, local Bakersfield street artist, Simone, created these portraits of me that you will see over successive days here at the blog. I guess Simone did ‘okay’ in capturing my likeness; I guess it could have been worse. I was a young cook back in the early 1960's when I commenced my culinary career. I served underneath a Master Chef for many years before striking out on my own. I went up the coast of the Western United States and Canada, working all the way, until I made it to Alaska. From there, I moved to Hawaii for a couple of years (1994-1997) before I returned to Washington State and it was there that I met Stinkbug. El Chilote writes from Shafter, California. El Chilote is a moderate Democrat. Contact me at elchilote2121N@yahoo.com or elchilotegrande10@gmail.com
