This time around, everyone is curious to know WHO the unseen hand behind Joe Biden was- most of us do not believe he won the nomination, much less the White House, on his own

Speaking of HOW we ended up with “Joe Biden” (and Kamala Harris) as our candidate is a question in itself. As I recall, Vice President Biden lost every primary election by some pretty disturbing numbers until the fourth contest (or so I recall) in South Carolina. That’s when Congressman Jim Clyburn came out and encouraged black voters to turn out for the former veep. Turn out they did and from that point forward, he racked up one win after another in surprising numbers. Even Bernie was devastated by the Biden juggernaut.

BLOG POST #3,688 AT THE AICP-END

ELECTION DAY 2020 PLUS THIRTY-TWO

Did communist China push Joe Biden across the finish line?

Arvin, CA 93203, 12-05-2020 Saturday:  On Wednesday, I mentioned my dislike for President Trump, something I have never concealed from the readership, although its intensity has cycled up and down because in all honesty, he has done many good things, things that have helped ordinary Americans improve the quality of their lives- until the Beijing Bug arrived on scene.  It is just that his boorish manners, his crude bravado, the incessant tweets, and the adoring crowds all made me think the man was a despot, a dictator, and a thug.   However, he has returned jobs to the country, jobs that no other president ever sought to reclaim for the American people.  He punched China smack dab in its snoot, gave them a black eye, bloodied them up which is good for the people of our country.[i]

Now, a year ago on December 8, 2019, I predicted we might lose BIG on Election Day in 2020 but that we would win the House and Senate in 2022.  With that, we could bring some semblance of normalcy back to the country by reining in Donald Trump for the final two years of his term, maybe even get him out of office sooner if he were unwilling to work with Democrats in House and Senate.[ii]

It appears we ‘won’ this time around but at what cost?[iii]  We ‘won’ with Joe Biden.  As a businessperson myself, one who said that common sense should have given us Amy Klobuchar, Michael Bloomberg, or Howard Schultz as our nominee, how did we end up with Joe Biden?

You see, one of the three would have made complete sense to Blue Dog Democrats like my wife and me.  We wanted a businessperson, our businessperson (or in Amy’s case, a practical common-sense candidate) but somehow we ended up with Joe Biden as our nominee.  How is this in any way good for the country and the American people?

Speaking of HOW we ended up with “Joe Biden” (and Kamala Harris) as our candidate is a question in itself.  As I recall, Vice President Biden lost every primary election by some pretty disturbing numbers until the fourth contest (or so I recall) in South Carolina. That’s when Congressman Jim Clyburn came out and encouraged black voters to turn out for the former veep.  Turn out they did and from that point forward, he racked up one win after another in surprising numbers.  Even Bernie was devastated by the Biden juggernaut.[iv]

Some might articulate it was ‘destiny’ while others might say, it was ‘highly improbable.’  Some might even claim it was ‘downright weird.’  I am sort of in that last category because it almost seems as though some unseen, hidden hand behind the scenes[v] was pushing, pushing, pushing the sometimes-incoherent former vice president onward and onward through one primary win after another, almost as if it were predestined.  Then, when the coronavirus arrived on scene, Joe practically vanished as did his running mate Kamala Harris.

No one can tell me this ‘just happened,’ that it was simply ‘Joe’s time.’  Joe has had plenty of ‘times’ to win the nomination and never ever came anywhere close to winning the nomination yet this time- in his decreased mental condition-  he DID win the nomination and then…the White House by an astounding 80 million votes.

If this is true, then this is the stuff of fairy tales.  A stuttering young man becomes a youthful senator, wins multiple terms, and runs for president- at least three previous times- and after the third time, the first black American presidential nominee chooses him to be his vice president.   Most thought this is where the fairy tale would end for the 47th vice president.

That was not to be.  Many wondered WHY Vice President Joe Biden did not run in 2016.  IF he had run in 2016, Vice President Biden would have become “President Biden” hands down, boom, over and done, that’s all she wrote.  There would never have been a ‘President Donald J. Trump,’ there would never have been four years of agonizing, political warfare day in and day out.  In fact, ‘President Biden’ would be seeking his second term now and his vice president would be the heir apparent.

This, however, did not happen.  No, for some reason we saw Hillary Clinton run in 2016.  Vice President Biden was pushed aside.  He was told, ‘it’s not your turn, Joe,’ and this time around, President Obama told him, ‘you don’t have to do this, Joe.’  President Obama hardly campaigned for his former vice president who remained in his basement throughout the campaigning season.  Yet, he won.  He won.  Something’s not right here.

We’ll pick up here tomorrow.

This is a facsimile of me as a young chef back in the 1960’s when I was working as a sous chef at a fine dining restaurant, the Victor Hugo, over on the coast around Newport, California.  I began my career working as a pot washer at the age of 10, move to washing dishes in 1958, became a chef’s apprentice in 1961 and have been a career professional ever since.  I am still involved in professional foodservice as a consultant for food and beverage professionals.  Famed Bakersfield street artist Simone created the cartoonish figure of me, which appears to be ‘me’ but I hope I look better than how he portrayed me.  You are the judge.

Savoy Brown released a great live effort on November 03, 2015, the stunning “Still Live after 50 Years, Volume I.”  The three-piece consisting of Kim Simmonds on lead guitar/vocals/harmonica/keyboards, and Pat De Salvo (bass), Garnet Grimm (drums) delivers a blistering live set what with one of the last great remaining live guitarists at the helm.  The band cranks it out through the history of the group, which is great for new fans that have not yet introduced their ears to the music as well as aged fans such as those of us here at the blog.  We urge everyone to embark on a digital journey to the world’s greatest online marketplace, Amazon.com.  When you arrive there, pick out the format, the condition, and the price that works best for you—you will be glad you did.

FOOTNOTES:

[i] We have never had a president fight for us against communist China like this one.  You don’t have to like the man or promote him to appreciate what he’s done for us on this account.  Like everyone else, I am shocked that so many of our medications, our OTC products, and our personal protective gear comes out of a communist country that can cut us off at any moment.  This is not good so kudos to Donald Trump for putting the Chi-Coms in their place.

[ii] I honestly believe that in a second term Trump would be more inclined to work with Democrats as if he did not and we win both the House and Senate in 2022, he knows he would be removed via impeachment.  His ‘loss’ this time around throws a monkey wrench into the gears and many of us fear that communist China will reassert its position of dominance over us which would not be good.

[iii] I will believe our victory when it’s made legal by the Electoral College and the Congress.  Until then, there are far too many questions and too much intensity coming from the other side.  We cannot dispute that something happened this election cycle that none of us can recall in living memory.  Until it’s proven/disproven, we cannot begin celebrating in the streets.  I certainly do not want to win IF communist China helped us do it.  I would rather have another four years of Donald Trump than to submit to a foreign power.

[iv] On February 3, 2020,  in Iowa, here are the stats: Iowa Caucuses:  Buttigieg: 26.2%, Sanders: 26.1%, Warren: 18.1%, Biden: 15.8, Klobuchar: 12.3%, Yang: 1.0%, Steyer: 0.3%, Bloomberg: 0.0%, Gabbard: 0.0%, Bennet: 0.0%, Patrick: 0.0%.  Next, February 11, 2020: New Hampshire Primary: Sanders: 25.6%, Buttigieg: 24.3%, Klobuchar: 19.7%, Warren: 9.2%, Biden: 8.4%, Steyer: 3.6%, Gabbard: 3.3%, Yang: 2.8%, Write-Ins: 2.0%, Patrick: 0.4%, Bennet: 0.3%.  Then, February 22, 2020: Nevada Caucuses: Sanders: 46.8%, Biden: 20.2%, Buttigieg: 14.3%, Warren: 9.7%, Steyer: 4.7%, Klobuchar: 4.2%, Gabbard: 0.0%,.  The fourth contest- South Carolina- on February 29, 2020, Biden began winning BIG: South Carolina Primary: Biden: 48.7%, Sanders: 19.8%, Steyer: 11.3%, Buttigieg: 8.2%, Warren: 7.1%, Klobuchar: 3.1%, Gabbard: 1.3%,  From here on out, he racked up one victory after another.  That is not to say he didn’t lose a few to Bernie but he was unstoppable from this point forward.  Something’s not right.

[v] One of our nominees for the Lavrentiy Beria Award this year.
