Thanks to the economic devastation elected California Democrats have inflicted upon our state, the slumbering golden bear is finally awakening and preparing to fight back

My conservative colleagues have always said, ‘at some point, the people of this state will have had enough with liberal rule.’ Many believed we should have already reached that point whereas I believe we are reaching it NOW. People are losing everything, their businesses, their livelihoods, their homes, and their apartments (when the eviction moratorium expires), as well as their cars, food trucks, big rigs, due to lack of payments, none of which was or is necessary.

BLOG POST #3,680 AT THE AICP-END

ELECTION DAY 2020 PLUS TWENTY-FOUR

Elected California Democrats had better wake up and fast- change is coming…

San Diego, CA 92122, 11-27-2020 Friday: Yesterday, we opened our restaurant for business despite what Governor Gavin “The Smiler” Newsom ordered us NOT to do because we are fed up with the decrees and the verbal orders spilling out of Sacramento regarding the infamous Chinese Influenza trashing our state.  We look to other states for examples of what NOT to do and the good thing is the cases of the Pelosi Pox are no worse here than they are in Texas, South Dakota, or Florida, three states that did not shut down but instead put their faith in their citizenry.  I think the same thing should apply here especially when we see our glorious governor, his family, and health care industry lobbyists dining at the notoriously expensive French Laundry Restaurant[i] in Yountville, California, disobeying the rules he imposes on the rest of us.

Once the photos of the little panocha went viral and we saw his hypocrisy on full display, millions of Californians became angry.  We applied our virtual signatures to the online petition[ii] to recall this villainous POS because if there is one thing we cannot stand in this state, it’s the ‘Rules for Thee but not for Me (and Mine)’ douchebags such as Newsom and other like-minded governors impose on their citizens.

I think IF all business owners in California said, ‘to hell with it’ and agreed to reopen their businesses at the same time across the state, what is the little dictator and his regime going to do then?

Obviously, they lack the manpower or the resolve to strip away all our business and liquor licenses for those who have the expensive things and if they did strip them from us, tax revenues for the state would plummet even lower than they now are to the point CalPERS would go belly-up, the money trough of California High-Speed Rail would implode, and the people would be marching on Sacramento with blazing torches and pitchforks held high.

The Democrats running the show here in the Golden State could not withstand a hostile populace, the only thing Sacramento has going for it is that we have become a somewhat docile population, that very few are willing to put their lives, honor, and property on the line to fight back.  This is what keeps politicians such as Gavin Newsom and Xavier Becerra and other far-left totalitarians secure in their power as they do not believe we will ever reach the point of ‘enough is enough.’

Well, I think the people are reaching the boiling point.  I think as people become more desperate in their economic decline, their inability to make good on their rents or their mortgage payments that they are going to erupt in ways that will make the Antifa and Black Lives Matter uprisings that occurred over the summer look like child’s play.

Too many people here in California are being destroyed, restaurants have closed, many never to reopen again just as movie theaters cannot survive, their employees going on the dole, seeking any sort of financial aid, aid that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has no desire to provide so long as she believes it’s going to harm Trump and the Republicans.

What I would say to the Democrats in Sacramento and from California at the national level, the people you are harming are mostly Democratic voters or should I say, WERE Democratic voters.  Restaurant workers are blue collar workers and not every locale in the state has a union to back it up as do the big cities.

Nevertheless even the big city unions are incapable of providing any sort of support to their members because ours is an industry in which, the demarcation line between BLACK and RED is miniscule which is WHY tens of thousands of these businesses across the Golden State, big, small, and independent chain store franchisees won’t be coming back whenever Sacramento finally proclaims, “CRISIS OVER!  RESUME NORMAL LIFE!”[iii]

I hope Gavin Newsom will be recalled by next March.  If not, if he somehow manages to cling to power, I think Los Californios are growing increasingly angry and the there is going to be nothing they can do between here and November 2022 to protect their positions unless, of course, they just steal the elections in the same way they have stolen it from President Donald J. Trump.  That will leave but one thing: violence.

Wake up, Governor Newsom!  Wake up before it’s too late.

This is a caricature of me created by up-and-coming Bakersfield street artist Simone.  We decided to go this route to protect our identities from readers who make some virulent threats, which means we find it best to use cartoons instead of photos.  Anyhow,  I began my culinary career in the 1950’s and had the good fortune of working with many different chefs before meeting my good friend, Stinkbug, in the mid 1980’s in Bakersfield. I am still working part-time in my semi-retired years in my hometown in San Diego, CA.

Like all other bands that have been around since the early to mid-1960s, the bands and their record companies cull the deep vaults where forgotten gems reside.  The album we have for you today by Savoy Brown came out in 2000 and is entitled, “Jack the Toad Live ’70 and ’72.’  This album was not as good as the previous live effort pulled from the vaults, “Looking from the Outside Live ’69 and ’70,” as the sound quality is not where one would like it.  Ah, well, you be the judge by going straight to Amazon.com.  Once there, pick it up in the format, the condition, and the price that works best for you—you will be so glad you did, of that, have NO doubts.

FOOTNOTES:

[i] This is a glorious restaurant located in the beautiful Napa Valley.  Yountville is one of those unique towns along the road from Napa to Calistoga.  Virtually every restaurant in these charming old California towns are pricey, unique, and worth visiting if you ever pass through the area.  Granted, one of the state’s innumerable wildfires burned lots of property in the area but we hope it returns.  Look for the famed Wine Train if you are ever in the region.

[ii] See RecallGavin2020.Com.  Sign the petition if you are a citizen of the Golden State.

[iii] The fact that cities such as Los Angeles were permitting businesses to have outdoor dining and then, a week out from Thanksgiving- after restaurants brought in supplies to meet the demands of the holiday- forbade restaurants from being open at all will prove to be the final straw that broke the camel’s back.  When government works against business, business disappears, life as we know it vanishes, and apathy, sadness, depression, and suicide increases.  Someone must alleviate us of the pain our elected leaders are inflicting upon us.
