Like Tommy in the Who rock opera, I was blind, deaf, and dumb when it came to Fox News until liberal hacks overrunning the network broke the mirror and set me free

The fact that Mr. Wallace brought it up again- as a way of driving a dagger into the president he so obviously abhors- was wrong, especially when I reported earlier this week that you can find the FULL TEXT of what Trump said back in 2017 on the Fox News website. All he has to do- as should Juan Williams, Neil Cavuto, and A. B. Stoddard among others- is to go to the article, read it, and then see if they can make things right with their conscience.

FALL SESSION 2020

BLOG POST #3,633 AT THE AICP-END

23 DAYS UNTIL ELECTION DAY 2020

If liberal news commentators aren’t playing a role, that means, they genuinely believe the crap they are saying…

Visalia, CA 93277, 10-11-2020 Sunday:   Let me say, watching NEWSMAX rather than watching the Fox News Channel is like being given a new lease on LIFE.  I must say, I began watching Fox News Channel a long time ago, when I first discovered it as an option to no longer watch CNN, CBS, or NBC, I gravitated to Fox and found them to be a superlative network and enjoyed almost all of their newscasters and political commentators.  It was refreshing to hear views that corresponded more to mine and those of my wife and thus we began a two decade-plus relationship that abruptly ended following the first presidential debate that occurred last week.

For a long time, I chafed as I watched Fox as it seemed that once they gave Bill O’Reilly the undeserved boot[i], slowly but surely, more liberal commentators began creeping in, one by one, here and there, first one network cast-off and then another began popping up.  Yes, they had good old Alan Colmes and although I disagreed with him on numerous things, there were times when I found that we had common ground, were simpatico.  I never disliked the guy, I accepted him for what he was.[ii]

They brought in Bob Beckel and you know what- I liked the loopy old drunk, he was a lot of fun and even though he came off like a nut, you knew what you were getting and you got what you saw.  Then, the leftists began creeping in, one by one, here they came.  You know, when Juan Williams first came to the channel, he had just been fired from what, National Public Radio or was it PBS?  It was one of them, all because he said he was aboard an airliner and ‘became paranoid when he saw a group of Muslims come aboard.’  This was following a time of frequent terrorist attacks.[iii]

An honest statement, he got canned and so Fox welcomed him with open arms.  We were pleased but then, he began saying some of the craziest things that my wife asked me, “Is this guy playing a role or is he this frigging stupid?”  My response was, I will have to observe him closer and so I did and you know what?  IF he’s NOT playing a role- being the lone lib on The Five (great show, although I no longer watch it), then he’s far too ignorant to be on a major cable news network.[iv]

Likewise, Neil Cavuto showed his cards time and again.  Who can’t forget the episode on his weekday show in which, he brought in the highly unlikable A. B. Stoddard, and the two of them went on and on and on about the ‘president using hydroxychloroquine- aka Plaquenil- or his promoting of it that brought on one of the ugliest episodes in memory that would not stop.  I was shocked watching the hate-fest.[v]

I almost swore off Fox News Channel then.  It was clear that Mr. Cavuto got into some sort of trouble because the next time he was on, he was backtracking like mad over what the duo had said and since then- until I moved to Newsmax for the bulk of my news- A. B. Stoddard was nowhere in sight- perhaps I missed her?

Moving on, Chris Wallace, longtime Sunday anchor, was the final piece of the poisoned cake.  For far too long, we accepted Wallace as a necessary evil, if we wanted to get ‘fair and balanced news,’ we knew we weren’t going to get it at CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, RT, Al-Jazeera America, Telemundo, or any other channel- maybe even the BBC- so we continued clinging to FNC, hoping against hope it would improve.

Chris Wallace is very acerbic; seldom did he ever say anything fair about President Donald J. Trump.  It’s like his moderating of the first debate, EVERYONE with an ounce of brains and who is willing to seek out the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, can find what President Trump has said about ‘racism, white supremacism, the KKK, and the like’ back in 2017 and he condemned it, condemned it in the harshest way yet four years after Wallace asked the question in 2016, he asked it again in 2020.[vi]

Then again, they might not have any conscience at all.  Rabid leftists and radical Democrats seem to have severed ties long ago with any sort of moral thinking, with any sort of connection to their Creator, and to any obligation to be honest, truthful, impartial, and fair.

Friends do not fail to vote.  This and the subsequent elections- IF we win- will be the most important in the history of the nation.  We have an opportunity to make the Democratic Party a rump party if we vote correctly.  If we don’t; well, it’s been a great ride.

I will see you next year.  God bless you and God bless our country.  Let’s hope things work out…

The above cartoonish caricature of me by Bakersfield, California, by up-and-coming street artist, Simone, resembles me back in the 1980’s when I was an Executive Sous Chef at a hotel in Monterey, California, 10-20 years later.  I originally came from Salinas, California, spent time in Fresno and Bakersfield, and currently am working at a fine-dining restaurant in Visalia, California.  I began cooking in 1967 when I apprenticed under a top chef working in the Napa Valley.

http://elementalnewsoftheday.blogspot.com/2011/01/week-xviii-wildcard-in-national.html

We continue offering albums by one of Britain’s greatest bands, Fleetwood Mac, a band with a long history and a much-longer list of musicians going through its ranks.  Their ninth album, “Future Games,” came out on September 03, 1971, a year after yesterday’s album, “Kiln House.”  The band was once again in change and featured the addition of California guitarist and vocalist, Bob Welch, who wrote and sang the title cut, along with Danny Kirwan (guitars/vocals), John McVie (bass), his wife, Christine McVie (keyboards/vocals), and of course, drummer Mick Fleetwood.  This is a wonderful album one we highly recommend to the readership so please go to Amazon.com and research it there- you will be glad you did.

FOOTNOTES:

[i] I think the firing of Bill O’Reilly was one of the unfairest things I ever saw but I guess the younger family members of Rupert Murdoch wanted him gone.  For a long time, I had hopes they would bring him back, not give him his old sport and displace Tucker but perhaps a later or earlier gig.  Never happened.

[ii] Hannity and Colmes was a superb show.  I am not sure if Hannity chose to end the partnership or if the network sent Colmes packing.  Poor guy died back in 2017, I think.

[iii] When Juan Williams got fired from his old gig, that should have been a warning that First Amendment rights were on the wane.  When a person cannot share their honest views with the world, then we have a problem, especially in a country where we pride (well, once prided) ourselves on the Bill of Rights.  This is how communism insinuates itself into free nations.  First thing they do is to crush the ability of people to speak.

[iv] The debate remains: is Juan Williams playing a role or is he truly this stupid?  You would think FNC would cashier the moron.

[v] Now, it is possible I was wrong on the exact subject because researching the exact exchange between Cavuto and Stoddard was difficult to find but it was back in May and articles I saw said it was over Stoddard and Cavuto trashing Trump on his debate performances but there was more to the ugly scene that what happened in 2016.  No, I am positive it was about his use of hydroxychloroquine.

[vi] As far as I am concerned, Wallace is the worst presence on FNC and it’s time he goes.
