NO one should ever vote for another Democrat candidate until they regain their sanity and return to what made them a great party: fighting for the little guy and gal and not for a hodgepodge of lunatic ideas

Yet, current Democratic leadership tells us that we are little better than serfs, that we are peons, that we are no better than our ancestors and that unless we pour out of our barrios or our slums or the inner cities and vote for faltering old Joe Biden, we are race traitors, that we deserve to have the boots atop our necks, and that if we are brown, black, red or yellow and DON’T vote the straight Democratic ticket on November 03, well, we aren’t whatever we are. En otras palabras, estamos fuera de la plantación.

SUMMER SESSION 2020

BLOG POST #3,594 AT THE AICP-END

62 DAYS UNTIL ELECTION DAY 2020

Until the Democratic Party regains its sanity, we should never vote for another Democrat- ever!

Shater, CA 93263, 09-02-2020 Wednesday:  Amigos, I want to talk to you about my allegiance to the Democratic Party today, an allegiance that as we speak is vanishing before our eyes.  Born in 1942 in Los Angeles, California, I was old enough to participate in many of the movements of the 1960s and back in those days, the cry of battle was about ‘free speech rights,’ that all voices must be heard, even those with which, we disagreed.  We had the Free Speech Movement, an organization that came kicking and screaming into life in Berkeley, California, a nationwide bastion of liberalism, free speech, and filled with visionaries of a united future.  All around us were the Brown Berets[i], the Black Power Movement, AIM[ii], and numerous other groups all seeking to bring the beauty of America to every man, woman, and child of whatever skin color, whatever ethnicity, and whatever religious beliefs- or lack thereof- to all.

As I have said over preceding days, I worked hard to promote the Democratic Party.  My parents told me I had no choice other than to be a Democrat, and mis gente would tell me that every election, I had to go out and participate in politics so I would work for this candidate and that one in L.A.,[iii] even though my folks desperately needed me to work in the family restaurant.  Sin embargo, todavía me enviaron a trabajar por lo que era correcto– it’s what we did.

Things began changing under Barack Obama.  While many viewed him as some ‘sort of savior,’ the man did little to fix the underlying problems of the country, problems to which, Vice President Joe Biden promises to return us, should he win in November.  There is the constant braying that everything is racist, that racism is systemic in the country, that the brown man, the black man, and the red man cannot get ahead nor will ever get ahead due to the white man keeping his boot atop our necks.

My family is successful as are many other brown families we know and with whom we associate.  There are many successful Latinx families across the entire state of California as there are black ones, Asian ones, you name it, hard work, determination, and a desire to get ahead propels all of us to achieve enormous things, to become successes in life, and to achieve a state of being better than what our parents or grandparents had and to pass it onto our kids and their kids.

No, if we don’t vote the way party leadership tells us to vote, we are traitors to our race and deserve to live in eternal damnation, shunned forever by other minorities who have bought into the ‘systemic racism’ BS with which they try to fill our heads.

I am sorry, mis amigos, I simply do not buy into that.  Over the past four years, the economy was going like hot tamales, we were increasing volume, hiring more workers, paying higher wages, and offering better benefits until the Chi-Com virus arrived in full and shutdown mode ensued.  People must wonder if this was ‘coincidence’ or by some sort of ‘design,’ and I am telling you, every day, the latter seems much more likely than the former and it should concern the hell out of all of us, you, me, your family, and mine.

How my party can now advocate EVERYTHING FREE- especially to noncitizens;- is beyond me.  Do you understand that until the Kung Flu arrived on our shores, the economy was better than it’s ever been.  We no longer had to contend with Obamacare- one of the hugest drags on the entire economy- nor did we have to deal with the massive pile of increased rules and regulations that broke the backs of the nation’s employers like my family and me.

And yet, Mr. Biden says he is going to make the Obamacare mandate law once again, that he wants to provide FREE healthcare to illegal aliens, that he wants to provide them with FREE education and FREE housing and FREE healthy food and a whole laundry list of crazy, crackpot, and loony tunes freebies that will break the backs of America’s employers.

We are already hurting due to being shut down for varying periods across the state and the country and a return to this insanity is only going to throw us back deeper into the economic doldrums we’ve been free and clear of for the past four years.

I am sorry, mis amigos, there is no way that anyone who loves the country should ever vote for another Democrat until the party achieves a great re-awakening of sorts and sees that it has strayed from what it once was: the defender of the little guy and gal, the American working class and not illegal aliens who have NO business being here.

Let me know what you think.  Muchas gracias, mis amigos, nos vemos a la manana.

As have the rest of my colleagues, local Bakersfield street artist, Simone, created these portraits of me that you will see over successive days here at the blog.  I guess Simone did ‘okay’ in capturing my likeness; I guess it could have been worse.  I was a young cook back in the early 1960’s when I commenced my culinary career.  I served underneath a Master Chef for many years before striking out on my own.  I went up the coast of the Western United States and Canada, working all the way, until I made it to Alaska.  From there, I moved to Hawaii for a couple of years (1994-1997) before I returned to Washington State and it was there that I met Stinkbug.

In 1987, the Flamin’ Groovies returned with a superlative live show recorded in the post Roy Loney years.  The album, “One Night Stand,” features the lineup of Cyril Jordan (guitars/keyboards/vocals), Chris Wilson (guitars/lead vocals/keyboards), George Alexander (bass, harmonica, and vocals), David Wilhelm (guitar, harmonica, and vocals), and David Wright (drums).  The band roars through a smoking set of classic covers along with a few of their own.  We hope you will throw out your Arianna Grande records along with Maroon Five and the rest of the phony crap you hear on the radio.  These guys were the seminal band of the era.

[i] While black Americans were fighting for civil rights for a long time, the Chicanos were late to the over all movement but in the late 1960s, David Sanchez formed this group to fight for OUR rights.  The group remains active to this day.
