Gavin Newsom will continue destroying California as long as he believes he can coerce the Trump administration into giving him a bailout- for the public sector employees

As a private business owner- and owner of one that has had its doors shut since COVID-19 showed up- we do not have guaranteed income like do the state workers. While some of them still go to work, most of them are sitting at home- like teachers-, still receiving 90-percent of their full pay- if not their full paycheck- while business owners and employees in the private sector are growing more desperate by the day.

BLOG POST #3,551 AT THE AICP-END

109 DAYS UNTIL ELECTION DAY 2020

We get it, the Chinese Plague is dangerous but so is keeping the country on lockdown…and I’m pushing 71 years of age…

Wasco, CA 93280, 07-21-2020 Tuesday:   Back in February of this year, my hubby ET (Earl Tiberias O’Malley- Tibe to you) and I thought things were dire, politically, but we had no idea as to how bad they truly were or how dreadful they would become.  In the intervening six months, things have gotten truly whack-a-doodle, impeachment was a bust and then out of nowhere, comes this Chinese virus that has everyone on edge, especially older folks like Tibe and me.  No one seems safe from this seeming ever-evolving virus, and it is by the Grace of God that Tibe and me haven’t yet caught it.  Then again, its threat might be overblown just as long as we don’t live in a place like New York where life seems to have little to no value to elected officials.

It amazes us that Governor Andrew Cuomo would send COVID-19-infected individuals into nursing homes where people already are extremely vulnerable.  It was as if, the governor and his fellow nut buddy running New York City- Bill Di Blasio- were sending infectious folks into places of high susceptibility so they could accomplish one thing and one thing only: kill off the aged, the infirm, the excess senior population, a population that requires higher amounts of tax dollars than do younger people so why not remove as many of them as possible?[i]

Pushing 71 years of age (in October) and in so-so health, I fear that if my husband or I contracts the Wuhan Virus, even if there is a chance we could recover, our state’s governor, little Gavin Newsom, could very well withhold funds from us based on our ages so he can send them elsewhere[ii].

Alas, many believe our politicians in Sacramento want to drive the Golden State into the two-holer outhouse outback because they anticipate the federal government will cut them a massive check, one that will enable them to divert funds slated for coronavirus aid into CalPERS so the public employees unions don’t implode.

This is how Democrats in Sacramento think.  For far too long, we have cut checks to the California Democratic Party but no more.  Why would we send our hard-earned dollars- especially now that they are depleting rapidly due to coronavirus closures- to a party that has one thing on its mind and one thing only:  how to keep the ravenous porkers’ public employees’ pension fund and benefits satiated because if CalPERS[iii] collapses, so, too, will our state.

Democrats at the national level want a $3 trillion bill that will fund unions, meaning union workers, just as it will help them accomplish portions of the Green New Deal[iv], all the while the rest of us haven’t a clue as to whether our doors will reopen or if our employees will want to come back to work as long as they are receiving more money to watch game shows on TV at home than if they were to come back, put on their aprons, and get to work.  This is not good.

There is no doubt that the Bat Flu out of China is not a deadly disease but something seems mighty fishy about how it showed up the day impeachment died.  If it’s not one thing, it might very well be another which is why we have a duty as Americans to maintain vigilance and to do the right thing for all Americans and not just angry protesters.

If we must stay home and remain indoors, then, so, too, should the people rioting in the streets.  Again, something seems mighty fishy how one thing ends and another begins in the war to remove Donald Trump from office[v].

We will discuss more of this tomorrow.  I will see you then.  Pray for the health of our country.

This is a cartoon caricature of me when I was working at a restaurant in Wasco, CA, my hometown.  The up-and-coming Bakersfield, California, street artist Simone did portraits of each of us here at the blog so I hope you like them as much as I, ahem, do.  Ah, well, I joined the Chefs de Cuisine of Greater Bakersfield, ACF, not long after it was chartered and am still a member even though the chapter is no longer in operation.  I began working in foodservice in the late 1960’s, moved from Wasco, CA, to Monterey, CA, and then returned to my hometown in 2004.  I have been a food server, a Mixologist, and am a Certified Cook.  I am equally at home in both the kitchen and behind the bar (and on the floor, too).  My passions are numerous, and my favorite is working in the bakery whenever I have had a chance.

FOOTNOTES:

[i] One of the places of conflict religious Democrats have long had with the main party is their disregard for life.  To listen to them think they have an opportunity to reel in Evangelical Christians and other Christians is beyond me because the mere fact that Planned Parenthood is more important to the party’s muckety-mucks than are black folks like my family and me tells us a lot and it should tell all of you a great deal, too.

[ii] Every alert Californian understands that funding the statewide public employees union is of greater importance than anything else.  That is why we never see our taxes lowered because state workers in the Golden State have benefits the likes of which, no one living anywhere else than say, New York state, can comprehend.  When they retire, they receive almost 90-percent of their base income plus medical and everything else.  We are always living atop a powder keg of sorts as when CalPERS and others cave in, the toll of destruction will be far greater than anything anyone can heretofore imagine.

[iii] CalPERS has been on the edge of insolvency for decades now.  Taxes go up, property taxes- despite the original Prop 13- are always under siege by ravenous Democrat politicians.  This is one of the major reasons as to WHY they continue trying to undermine normal society because they want to keep the monster fed.  They believe if they bring in enough unintelligible illegal aliens, that they can feed the monster by paying them crap wages.  Not good.

[iv] While the environment is important, the Green New Deal is insane.  Anyone who buys into this mess of goo is insane, literally insane.

[v] Enough of this!  The election is almost here so let the voters decide but to my fellow Democrats, if you put your eggs in Joe Biden’s basket, you are going to suffer an ignominious defeat, the likes of which, you haven’t seen since George McGovern.

The up-and-coming Bakersfield, California, street artist Simone did portraits of each of us here at the blog so I hope you like them as much as I, ahem, do. The important thing for us as foodservice business owners is that we protect our identities because in the age of the Cancel Culture, IF Marxist punks leads boycotts against us, it can destroy businesses that have been around for years, if not decades. Ah, well, I joined the Chefs de Cuisine of Greater Bakersfield, ACF, not long after it was chartered and am still a member even though the chapter is no longer in operation.
