SPRING SESSION 2020
BLOG POST #3,473 AT THE AICP-END
186 DAYS UNTIL ELECTION DAY 2020
The Hawaiian Islands are about to erupt- not with lava but without outrage…
Kula, HI 96790, 05-04-2020 Monday: Aloha! Welcome to the NEW AICPENDBLOG.COM, home of the American Institute of Culinary Politics-Elemental News of the Day, our new home because Google Blogger behaved very dishonorably by closing off our main two blogs[i] that were online for more than 10 years and because it appears that Sundar Pichai, the lower caste Indian piece of pond scum who runs the massive search engine and app giant, had it in for us because he wants to be in charge of who says what and what and how they say it.
To tell you the truth, I am glad we are leaving that disreputable site because something newer and something better is going to come along that is going to make Google no better than say, AOL is now. Remember, Little Sundar, what goes UP almost always comes back DOWN as will YOU and your pathetic career. Why don’t you go home? America does not need a pro-Chinese communist-loving piece of fish gut like you.
Closer to home, Governor David Ige[ii] is causing the people of our state to lose patience with him and with the Democratic Party crime cabal currently destroying our state with the glee of an out-of-control mob of Menehunes.
Everything from Diamond Head to Pearl Harbor, along with every other major attraction or state park, Honolulu has closed DOWN even though we recorded ONLY our 619[iii]th case of COVID-19 last week Thursday. Imagine that: destroying our state’s economy, one that is built upon constant tourism and the cash infusion millions of visitors bring with them, all so Governor Ige can drive our economy into the crapper, resembling Puerto Rico at best or HAITI, at worst[iv].
Visitors from around the world have been ‘invited not to come.’ Why bother? With Pearl Harbor and virtually every other tourist site- including our world-class beaches- why would anyone want to come, especially since everyone must undergo a two-week, self-imposed quarantine[v].
Governor Ige[vi] and his underlings imposed a shutdown on all restaurants and bars beginning back in March and the little dog dingus continues breathing down our necks to keep things that way. Hawaii government also closed hotels and other places where tourists can stay. All of these closures has led to thousands of workers dependent on these jobs (such as at our place Upcountry) going onto unemployment in one of the most expensive states in the nation in which to live.
I spoke to my colleague, Chef Kilgore[vii] who works both at a country club in Bakersfield, California, and who also owns a popular restaurant-and-bar in that city’s downtown area and he said, ‘to open their business, they had to do it in the manner of a speakeasy.’ Imagine that: a speakeasy like in Prohibition-Era Chicago.
Now, that’s a great idea but he and his staff must be extremely careful as if the authorities have a hard-on for him, they can exert special powers granted the local government by the governor to crack down, fine, close, and possibly lock him up for braving the ban Gov. Gavin Newsom imposed on foodservice businesses.
Imagine that- in a free country people should be allowed to use their common sense and best judgment just as they are doing in Sweden and in some U.S. states, and government should be kept at arm’s length.
You see, this is not Nazi Germany, Governor Ige, this is a state YOU claim to love so behave like you’re one of us and NOT one of those authoritarian governors and their flunkies in the U.S. House and Senate, you know, like Gretchen Whitmer, Black Face in Ole Virginny, our very own Mazie, and others like them.
Friends, this is going to be a rocking week as not only am I upset and angry, I am not the only one. People of Hawaii do not want to live on welfare (although there is a segment of the population happy to do so) and government should know that once you destroy the economy, good luck with getting it back.
And, it’s NOT Trump’s fault. See you tomorrow.

I began working at the Maui Prince Hotel back in the 1970s. I apprenticed under some of the best European chefs back in the day and met Stinkbug, our mentor, on Maui in 1990. Presently, I am working up in Kula at one of the restaurants high up on Haleakala—it is a glorious life. The facsimiles you see of me here at the blog were created by the famed up-and-coming, Bakersfield, California, street artist, the fabulous Simone. Thank you so much for the uh, beautiful likeness of me, your beloved pau hana host.

[i] The American Institute of Culinary Politics-The Elemental News of the Day has a more than 10-plus year history while the secondary blog, The American Institute of Culinary Politics-Elemental News of the Day, began in the early summer of 2014 because Mr. Pichai shut down the main blog- FOR NO REASON WHATSOEVER- for a solid week and then lo and behold, reopened it. Who would want to do business with rat dung like Sundar Pichai after an outrage like that (not to mention the fact that over the last two years, he kept us hidden behind an interstitial). Lawsuit is still coming, you little c**ksucker. Editor’s note- Alvin T. Woliztnikistein (Lilly would never speak this way).

[iii] At the time, we had 619 cases what with 16 deaths but more than 532 confirmed recoveries so what the heck?
[iv] Haiti has been in the deplorable situation since 1798, I believe, when they overthrew French colonialism. Ever since, they have been- if not the armpit of the world, then the a-hole, doomed to suffer oppression, poverty, and misery.
[v] Believe me, from the moment you arrive, the state tracks you, hotels track you, and vacationing at vacation rentals now is ILLEGAL. Even natives coming home are restricted to fourteen days of home confinement and if you don’t have a home and live off the land, they will come after YOU.
