In 1998, Roxy Music released a great live album recorded around the time the band released their “Manifesto” album. “Concert Classics” marked a return for the band who had taken a brief hiatus of sorts and the songs on the album were among their best. To hear them knock them out live is a joy as is the fact that there are some old favorites on the album, too. We hope that you will go to Amazon.com where you can get it in the format, the condition, and the price that works best for you—you will love this spectacular live set.

Thanks to the Wuhan Virus, Mr. Trump- time to declare Big Pharma (and other critical industries) vital national security interests and bring them home

Back to China, we don’t need no stinking lesson. We need you to straighten up and play right. Of course, that is not possible. NO communist nation will ever play straight. As I and other chef-authors here at the American Institute of Culinary Politics-Elemental News of the Day have pointed out that communists are like Muslims: it’s okay to lie to non-believers or in the case of the commies, to non-fellow travelers.

WINTER SESSION 2020

BLOG POST #3,423 AT THE AICP-END

IF CHINA MAKES OUR DRUGS, WHY ARE THEY SO EXPENSIVE?

236 DAYS UNTIL ELECTION DAY 2020

We must support President Trump- he’s the only one fighting for us…

Shafter, CA 93263, 03-15-2020 Sunday:  Now, we hear from the liberal news media- of which, I partake (ooh, look at the fancy word I used, mis amigos)- that if we call the Wuhan Virus the “Wuhan Virus,” we are somehow hurting the feelings of our Chinese ‘friends.’  We also hear that it’s racist and I guess that since I have come out as a Trump supporter, I am now on the ‘list’ of public enemies.  The funny thing about all of this is that I don’t care, the COVID-19 mess came straight out of China and is sweeping the world.

Here is something else I have been thinking about: how long ago did we allow Big Pharma to move our drug manufacturing plants to China?  Two presidential administrations?  Three?  Four?  Or more?  And, since we allowed BIG PHARMA to move to communist China, WHY then are our medications so frigging expensive?

This is the mind-blowing thing.  Why hasn’t the U.S. government declared BIG PHARMA a national security issue like our oil and natural gas industries were up through World War II?  Why isn’t BIG PHARMA locked down here in the United States making our drugs for domestic consumption first and then selling them abroad instead of China making our medications and then threatening to cut them off to ‘teach the United States a lesson?’

There was a time when steel production and rare minerals and uranium and other things central to national security ONLY came from the United States.  There used to be a Hopper steel mill in Bakersfield, California, off Union Avenue that eventually disappeared sometime in the late 1980s or early 1990s.  My brothers tried to go to work there and one of them did.

I guess it became cheaper to produce steel in other rathole countries like- wait for it- the People’s Republic of China.  The steel the Chinese and the Europeans and the Canadians ship to the United States is NEVER as good as the steel WE produce, especially weapons grade steel, yet there we are, buying our steel from the Chin.

This is WHY it is so important that Donald Trump wins another term and then Mike Pence at least one and hopefully two after him because we require continuity to save our nation’s industries, jobs, language, and culture.   If only the GOP would have stood by him from the very start instead of that prick, Paul Ryan doing everything to sabotage him.  We might have been years ahead in saving our country by now.

Some of my more liberal family members of friends have called me a traitor but here is the deal: BOTH parties must support a pro-American agenda.  We must stop the fighting and bickering as there is blame to go around on both sides.

Yes, Trump can be a bit much but so can Nancy Pelosi and that ghoul Chuck Schumer.  I mean look at that piece of masa, Adam Schiff.  The truth is beginning to come out on that prick and I prophesy by this time next year, he will be out of Congress and possibly in federal prison.

U.S. government, please do the right thing: bring our vital industries home.  Employ Americans.  The more Americans have jobs, the more tax revenue will flow in and we will become free.  Free.  Free from scum like the communist Chinese who want to destroy us.  What better way to do it than to release a disease into our midst and then control the drugs necessary to combat it.

We will meet again later in the year.  I hope the Good Lord is willing and that this Chinese Wuhan Virus doesn’t take me and others whom I care about OUT.  That would suck.  Thank you, China, thank you.  Shame on you.  We will win.

President Trump: BRING OUR VITAL INDUSTRIES HOME NOW!

Hasta la vista, mis amigos- nos reuniremos nuevamente en seis meses.

As have the rest of my colleagues, local Bakersfield street artist, Simone, created these portraits of me that you will see over successive days here at the blog.  I guess Simone did ‘okay’ in capturing my likeness; I guess it could have been worse.  I was a young cook back in the early 1960’s when I commenced my culinary career.  I served underneath a Master Chef for many years before striking out on my own.  I went up the coast of the Western United States and Canada, working all the way, until I made it to Alaska.  From there, I moved to Hawaii for a couple of years (1994-1997) before I returned to Washington State and it was there that I met Stinkbug.
