Finally, a horrible series of tornados roared through Tennessee killing at least 25 people and injuring numerous others.

ALBUM OF THE DAY AT THE AICPENDBLOG.COM:

#BF01.1g Bete Noir #7 08-19-16 (400)

Bryan Ferry released his next solo effort in 1987, the monumental, “Bête Noir.” As with his preceding solo efforts, the album featured a ‘cast of thousands,’ all top-quality musicians who helped the vocalist create a stunning effort. Say what you will about Ferry, the man has a style reminiscent of no one else and yet blazes the way for many artists who seek to emulate him. If you love the man, this is a must-have effort for all fans, which is why we urge you to look for it wherever you buy the finest rock music on the planet. You will be glad you did. We thank you.

WINTER SESSION 2020

BLOG POST #3,411 AT THE AICP-END

248 DAYS UNTIL ELECTION DAY 2020

Today is the day: Super Tuesday

Los Angeles, CA 93064, 03-03-2020 Tuesday: Here we are: Super Tuesday, possibly the day that will decide who the Democrat Party’s nominee is going to be.  Many suspect that Bernie Sanders will be the card-carrying communist leading the crumbling party into the future whereas others are down on their knees, praying to God Almighty to make Bloomberg or Joe Biden the nominee.  No one knows for sure but let us take a retrospective look back at last Saturday’s results from the South Carolina primary before we return to the discussion on whom the Democratic nominee will be.

This past Saturday was a big win for former Vice President Joe Biden.  God bless him, the guy won his first ever- that’s right- his first ever primary win in 33 years and after 3-4 tries.  Good for him.  No matter what you think of the guy, say about the guy, all his years in politics finally paid off for him.

On Saturday, Biden cleaned the clocks of everyone else coming in with 48.45% of the vote.  His communist challenger- Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., pulled in 19.91%.  After him, Tom Steyer rumbled along with 11.33% of the vote while little Mayor Pete came in with a humbling 8.24%.  After Pete, Lyin’ Liz came in with 7.07%, followed by Amy Klobuchar with 3.15% and finally, poor beautiful Tulsi Gabbard with a 1.28% of the vote.

Following the affair in the Nevada caucuses where two Democrats called it quits- Andrew Yang- goofy tech millionaire who wants to give everyone a thousand bucks per month as well as stop circumcision- became the seventeenth drop-out while Sen. Michael Bennet of Colorado became the eighteenth to go home and watch the Hallmark Channel.

At the time, Tom Steyer also ALMOST called it quits following a disappointing showing in the Silver State but then convinced himself to jump back in and give it another go.  Well, after a drubbing this past Saturday and after spending millions of dollars to buy a few delegates, he made it official on Sunday.  Boohoo for him.

Following his abandonment of presidential politics, Mayor Pete of South Bend, Indiana, called it a day on Sunday, March 01.  I am unclear as to WHY either Steyer or Buttigieg decided to call it quits because today is Super Tuesday, a contest that I believe features 14 states- including California.  Why not just make it through today and then call it a day?  After all, almost everyone’s name is on the ballot, at least here in the Golden State.   Then again, it might be the potential embarrassment of a REAL BAD showing.

I guess when the fire goes out of one’s belly, it’s like dousing a steam-powered locomotive engine with water.  Over and done just like that, steam and smoke pouring out of the smokestack and from the engineer’s cab.  Done.  Kaput.  No mas.
C’est la vie!

Now, no one knows whether Biden can pull off another win or two as he lacks the money and he has no ground game.  Still, black folks must look at Bernie and back to Joe and think, “Bernie is crazier than hell.  Can’t vote for that guy.”

Biden, say what you will about him, is a typical old-time Democrat.  Sure, he is wobbly on some of the social issues like saying it’s okay to abort a baby as he or she is traveling out of his mom’s womb and into this world just as he is a big proponent for gay marriage.  Ah, well, can’t have everything.

However, he is not going to topple the capitalist system, the world’s best way to LIFT people out of poverty rather than to keep them in it to ever-descending depths of economic and social misery.   He obviously won’t be Donald Trump which is why we are going to vote for Donald Trump and for none of the frigging Democrat candidates.

I am sure that once today ends and the votes are tallied, Lyin’ Liz and Amy will abandon the race.  I suspect that Bernie is going to win BOTH Massachusetts and Minnesota.  I mean, if you cannot win your home state, you are in trouble which is why I think Steyer and Pete left the race as being unable to carry your home state is akin to political death.

We will remain vigilant and keep an eye on the results as they flow in so please, join us throughout the day at ‘Today in History’ as we try to post the stats as they flow in.

Join me tomorrow and we will continue with more politics here at the AICPENDBLOG.COM.  We thank you.

Ah well,  I spent most of my life working in food service in a variety of states and places.  Among my stops was one in Washington State where I met Stinkbug in the WSCA.  We have been friends ever since and have been working long and hard to create an enjoyable reading experience for our fans, provided Google Blogger will allow the public to see us.
