WINTER SESSION 2020
BLOG POST #3,376 AT THE AICP-END
283 DAYS UNTIL ELECTION DAY 2020
Americans typically vote their pocketbooks and this election will be no different…
Wasco, CA 93280, 01-28-2020 Tuesday: Good morning, friends. Yesterday, I did my best to watch the Trump defense team put on their part of the trial and I must say…there is a BIG difference between their side and our side, theirs being polished and committed to doing their duty and our side who allows emotion, anger, hate, and madness to rule the roost, which makes a mockery of what we are doing.
As I have said in previous posts at previous times, I believe there are reasons to dislike President Trump because he does not act like what we are used to seeing in the White House press room, the rose garden, or the Oval Office. He is a man of the people whereas someone such as Barack Obama and Bill Clinton were polished politicians, people who spoke in spit-shined ways that the assembled media representatives approved of, liked, and enjoyed hearing as they jotted down their profuse notes.
Trump, on the other hand, is a working-class man, a man of the people. Oh, he says things that grate on one’s ears such as berating a gold star family or lampooning a disabled reporter.
What’s more, he does not use the language of politicians because he is not a politician, something for which, many Americans, white, black, brown, yellow, and red, and of all parties voted. They wanted change, positive change, and it’s change they are getting hand over fist rather than managed decline as our last president promised.
My grandchildren have bought new homes, new cars, have gone on vacations, have money in the bank, and are seeing their wages going up, not down. None of this would ever have occurred had Hillary Clinton won the White House in 2016 nor will it continue should someone like Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, or Mayor Pete become president.
The American people tend to vote their pocketbooks, their purses, the money they have in the bank, the spending money in their pockets and change purses. We can take our great-grandchildren to movies more often- NOT the dollar show every Thursday afternoon- and to Six Flags Magic Mountain, Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farm, the San Diego Zoo, Marineland, and other exciting, fun places.
If I don’t want to see the president on TV, we can turn him off or go to another channel and watch something else. We do not have to hear our Democrat politicians attacking him for everything under the sun, whether he’s guilty of it or not, because by this point in his first term, we now know that most of it is a load of bull hooey and that ‘all the thousands of lies he supposedly has told’ are due to his manner of speech.
The president is a self-promoter, a BIG self-promoter but so were Barnum & Bailey & Ringling Bros, P.T. Barnum, especially. President Trump must be because to be in real estate requires that showmanship. It’s like when the local real estate agent pulls up in his or her Mercedes or Cadillac, average folks want to see signs of success.
In the Big Apple, I am sure being outgoing is more than required as if a real estate mogul or investor cannot sell his or her vision to their investors and potential investors, he or she is not going to do well.
Add to this the fact that Mr. Trump also was in showbiz, in Hollywood, in Tinsel Town, putting on successful shows that his successors drove into the ground (I am talking about YOU, Arnold).
Moreover, the man is a crass showman yet he is doing great things for our country by bringing back jobs, closing the borders, deporting criminals, ending wars, bringing home America’s servicemen and women, fixing the criminal justice system, and I can only wonder what he and we could do if we did not have all of this unnecessary strife.
Friends, thank you for joining me today at the NEW blog, seeing as how Google has treated us abominably. If they are unhappy with one chef-blogger, why would they see fit to punish everyone. I hope they reconsider.
See you tomorrow. Holy moly, I love our new site. Farewell, Kobe, farewell.
