WINTER SESSION 2020
BLOG POST #3,352 AT THE AICP-END
306 DAYS UNTIL ELECTION DAY 2020
Let’s look at where we are at fundraising-wise for the Fourth Quarter
Oildale, CA 93308, 01-04-2020 Saturday: I am sorry to announce that little Julian Castro had to throw the towel in on his presidential ambitions. One mayor OUT and one mayor to go although little Mayor Pete, the proud “Christian” (my wrinkled ass!), the current ‘flavor of the day’ for many Democrats, most likely will stick around for a bit. Sadly, Mayor Castro could not raise the necessary bucks with which to contest the White House and so had to go home and make tamales with his mamasita to sell on the streets of war-torn Juarez.
The Democrats are celebrating the money they are raking in and folks, they are raising money like supposedly Christ did the dead (remember, I am Jewish). President Trump- at the end of the 4th quarter announced the campaign had raised another $46 million added to the $102.7 million cash on hand (COH). Still, if we combine the money raised by the Democrat candidates, it should be clear that they are raising more money than a good seller of snake oil could.
Here we go:
Sen. Bernie Sanders: 4th quarter earnings: $34.5 million.
Mayor Pete Buttigieg: 4th quarter earnings: $24.7 million.
Former Vice President Joe Biden: 4th quarter earnings: $22.7 million.
Entrepreneur Andrew Yang: 4th quarter earnings: $16.5 million.
Sen. Elizabeth Warren: 4th quarter earnings: $16 million or less, due to her baffling plans that will bankrupt the country, especially the one of Medicare for All, a plan that comes in at an astounding $30 trillion over a decade. Remember, 16 years in Iraq have cost us $1 trillion. Yikes.
At the time of writing, Sen. Amy Klobuchar had not announced her earnings for the 4th quarter but friends, let me say this: I seriously doubt she will be in the running for long.
Although not as loony bin as some of her fellow leftists, there is nothing remotely enticing about the big-nosed midget; oops, did I just do something ‘un-PC?’ Yep.
Still, she rails at her staff, screeches on the stage, and why the people of her Senate district have not kicked her to the side of the road is beyond me. Still, compared to some of the others, she could have a fighting chance provided the others implode.
Combined together, the leading Democrat candidates have amassed $114.4 million which is far more cash than Trump raised for his re-election campaign (as well as his COH) so that tells me if- and I repeat, IF- the Democrats have a frontrunner ahead of their convention, that person could be raking in the dough, as long as it’s someone the crazies will support. Otherwise, it will be ‘Chicago ‘68’ all over again.
I hope we uncover the fundraising totals for the remaining candidates in the race, although with Mayor Castro throwing in the towel and Marianne Williamson announcing sending her campaign staff home and laying off the remainder, informs literate readers that the Oprah-backed candidate is not doing well enough to have Oprah Winfrey dump a hefty cash infusion into her campaign to keep her in the running.
Other candidates still lingering in the mix are Cory Booker, once someone who appeared to have a snowball’s chance in hell of winning the nomination, along with Tulsi Gabbard, John Delaney, Michael Bennett, and the two billionaires, Mike Bloomberg and Tom “Green Jeans” Steyer.
Now, some Democrats have dropped out of the race whom we had no clue threw in the towel. Let’s look at the date of withdrawal for the Dems who have thrown in the towel. Here we go:
- Congressman Eric Swalwell: FIRST to drop out. He entered the race on Monday, April 08, 2019 and bailed out on Monday, July 08, 2019. Can you imagine if he had won, our first “Farter in Chief?” Good riddance to this slope-headed schlub.
- John Hickenlooper: SECOND to leave the running. He entered the fray on March 04, 2019 and after talking about having taken his mother to “Deep Throat” (by mistake, he claimed), dropped out on Thursday, August 15, 2019. He plans to run against Sen. Cory Gardner, R-CO. We’ll be waiting.
- Jay Inslee: THIRD Democrat to drop out. He based his entire campaign on battling climate change, willing to follow the Baby Evita down the dark trail into enforcing the Green New Deal no matter how much harm it did the American people. He joined the fray on March 01, 2019 and left it on Wednesday, August 21, 2019. What a schlemiel.
- Congressman Seth Moulton: FOURTH Democrat to leave the race. He entered it on Monday, April 21, 2019 and cashed in his chips on Friday, August 23, 2019. A war vet, he deserves our respect; other than that, however, he is a leftist putz.
- Kirsten Gillibrand: FIFTH Democrat to leave the race and folks, she should have been tied with Eric Swalwell for bailing out, so unpopular is she. The junior senator from New York joined the fight on January 15, 2019, announcing on that CHOMO Stephen Colbert’s show and left it on Wednesday, August 28, 2019. Notable item from her campaign: “Gimmie some ranch dressing.” Woo- that’s one for the ages.
Friends, we will continue this post tomorrow. Before we wrap things up, here are my NFL predictions for today: the early Wild-card game, Buffalo at Houston, I think the Texans will beat the Bills, 24-17.
As for the later game, Tennessee at New England, although I think the Titans could beat the Patriots, until the Pats go down in a big way and early in the playoffs, we cannot yet count them out of the running. Hence why we have not yet changed the banner at the secondary blog. I suspect the game will be low-scoring, perhaps 17-10, slightly better than last year’s snooze-fest Super Bowl. We shall see.
Join me tomorrow for my final post of this go-round. I will see you then and folks…how amazing Trump gave the nod to whack that Iranian POS Qassim Soleimani, head of the Quds Force.
