Just the Facts: if Democrats want to win in 2018 and again in 2020 and beyond, we as a party must begin severing ties with violent hard-left mobs such as those fronted by Antifa

What we as a nation cannot do, no matter if hard-left, hard-right, or down the center is to allow violence to become the norm in our politics. If we do this, we will be no better than the people we condemn elsewhere in the world, where violence in politics is a way of life. How is it we have not learned the lessons of the fight against fascism in the last century in the here and now?

FALL SESSION 2018

BLOG POST #2,910 AT THE AICP-END

EIGHTEEN DAYS UNTIL ELECTION DAY 2018

Democrats do not recognize Antifa as one of ‘our groups’; no, they are a terrorist organization and the sooner we sever ties with them, the sooner we can start winning some elections

Kihei, HI, 10-19-2018 Friday: Yesterday, I shared with you my views on the ONE MAJOR ISSUE that will separate Democrats and liberal voters from voting for Democrats and that is the extremely important issue of what to do with the ongoing invasion of Third World peoples.

We here in Hawaii watch the same news as you all do on the Mainland.  We see the hordes of Hondurans flowing northward through El Salvador and Guatemala and then through Mexico and are as shocked by it as are the rest of you.  As someone with family, a business, and a lifestyle, I do not want the lifestyles of Third World Central America and Mexico forced upon us yet that is what seems likely to happen.

I understand that we Democrats- unless it is liberal areas we have long controlled- have an inability to win elections which means, we must extend our voter base from beyond the shrinking one we now see.  I would like to think that elected and first timers hopeful to be elected Democrats would put our nation first and not bow down to wanting NUMBERS.

The way we Democrats win elections is by having something of benefit to offer instead of anger and even rabid hate.  While it might feel good to be angry towards what President Donald J. Goober says and does, it also causes others to veer off and go somewhere else rather than voting Democrats from top to bottom on the ballot.

I mean, who wants a big bowl of steaming anger?  Look at the scenes we see on TV where Antifa rioters are running amok in the streets of a beautiful city like Portland, Oregon, driving people out of the streets by attacking their cars and their persons.  This is the United States, not Honduras, Somalia, or South Africa, so we need to stop pushing mobs by inciting them to cause violence on our behalf.

My husband, Chono, says that if we were living in Portland, we would always carry a firearm or two in the car.  Although I do not support the National Rifle Association or the Hawaiian version of it, I have no problem with owning legal firearms.

Chono has joked that if we had to drive through rampaging mobs frequently, he would put a sawed-off shotgun out of each car window and ask the protesters if they wanted to ‘take it in the face or to get the hell out of the way?’  I will admit, it is funny when he says it but I see the truth in it.

I have read other posts penned by my friends here at the blog and agree with them that once revolutions get underway, it is extremely difficult to control where they will go.  The people that set them in motion typically are not the ones leading them at the end because at some point, some strong person is going to seize control and redirect them wherever he or she wants them to go.

I fear for my kids, my grandkids, my hubby, and our two Scotties, Lala and Moki.  Even here in Hawaii, we are not immune from protests although none have ever gotten out of control like the street mobs we see rampaging on the West Coast.

I have written Senators Mazie Hirono and Brian Schatz about what they plan to do to stop the violence and although I have received polite form letters in return, neither one has the balls to answer the question because it does not suit their political needs.

If we fail to restore law and order as well as to defend our borders, I fear the Republicans will use our inability to do the right thing to impose the rest of the Donald J. Goober agenda down our throats such as stripping away the last remnants of Obamacare, kicking people with pre-existing conditions out in the street, and defunding one social program after another so we can continue funding the military-industrial complex.

Do not misunderstand what I am saying, however; we do need a strong military just as we need control of our borders but whether we need to construct a great wall separating the United States from Mexico to the tip of Argentina, I am not sure.  We have always welcomed people so long as they come to our country in the right way.

Currently, our economy is going gangbusters, more and more people are being hired for better wages.  This is good and even though the current president takes credit for what his predecessor did, so be it, we still require employees.

However, we can bring them in via a guest worker program and not through allowing them to flood our nation by slipping across the border.  We have loads of foreign workers here in the Islands, most of whom have green cards because they came in the way dictated by law.

As the need for more workers increases, so will our needs for foreign labor but we must do it the right way.  They come here, work for one year, go home for 4-6 months, and then return for another cycle.

We also must stop the birth citizenship thing, too.  Just because someone has a baby on U.S. soil should not immediately make them an American citizen, especially if the mother is not a citizen.  This is an encumbrance on the social safety net and fabric of society that will harm our nation in the long run.  Let’s use some common sense.

Thanks for being here with me today; we will pick back up tomorrow.

I must say I am amazed that the AICP-END Blog would send up-and-coming Bakersfield, California, street artist, the amazing Simone to Maui to do some photographic portraits of me.  We have moved in this direction since politics have turned millions of people against one another and it is important for us as employers and as private people with families to protect, that we begin covering our actual identities from those seeking to cause us problems.  I must say, Simone has done an outstanding job and this is a caricature of me that meets with my approval.  My husband and I live and own a restaurant in Kihei, Hawaii, and have also worked in institutional cooking at Maui’s premier hospital up in Wailuku.

WE CONTINUE PROMOTING THE MUSIC OF THE GREAT BRITISH HARD ROCK BAND, TRAPEZE:

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 19, 2018

With the departure of Glenn Hughes to join the third incarnation of Deep Purple, the remaining two members of Trapeze sought out new members so they could continue the hard-rocking format.  Joining guitarist/vocalist Mel Galley and drummer Dave Holland were bassist/vocalist Peter Wright and guitarist/vocalist Rob Kendrick.  The new effort, “Hot Wire,” came out in 1974 and demonstrated that where there is a will, there is a way to continue doing what determined rockers will do and that is to keep creating music the fans want to hear.  We urge everyone to use the link we provide you here so you can redirect your browser to Amazon.com.  Once there, you can pick the CD up in the format, the condition, and the price that rocks your socks- you will love it.

I DO NOT SUPPORT THE NATIONAL RIFLE ASSOCIATION

FEATURED ALBUM OF THE DAY:

On July 29, 1969, The Byrds released a compilation effort entitled, “Pre-Flyte,” that featured studio outtakes and other odds ‘n’ ends featuring the original lineup of the band: Roger “Jim” McGuinn (guitars/vocals), David Crosby (guitars/vocals), Chris Hillmen (bass/vocals), Gene Clark (vocals/harmonica), and Michael Clarke (drums and percussion).  There are some awesome gems on this album, tunes that are glorious such as “Boston,” “Here Without You,” and “I Knew I’d Want You.”  This album is one that every fan of this band or of the era should own.  We hope that you will use the link we provide you here so you can pick up the masterful effort by visiting Amazon.com and once there, pick it up in the format, the condition, and the price that works best for you.

After another brief breakup due to lack of record support, the Sons of Champlin reformed yet again and delivered a great album in 1973, “Welcome to the Dance.”  The lineup had, of course, undergone change but here it is: Bill Champlin (guitars/keyboards/vocals), Terry Haggerty (guitars), Geoffrey Palmer and Mark Isham (saxophones and horns), David Shallock (bass), and Jim Preston and Bill Vitt (drums).  As with their previous efforts, the musicianship is superb but the promotion by their record company, Ariola, somewhat non-existent.  We hope you will check this CD out by using the link we provide you here so you can visit Amazon.com.  Once there, you can pick it up in the format, the condition, and the price that works best for you.  Do it now, do not disappoint your ears.
